Our family of 14 stayed in this wonderful house and had the best family reunion we could have asked for. Everyone had their own space, but we weren't so spread out that it still felt like we were all together. The kitchens were big enough for all of the cooking we did and there was plenty of seating for meals. We will definatly be returning for more family reunions in the future!

Owner response:It warms our hearts when families gather at Turtles Inn. Truth be told, we bought the double home because we have annual family reunions ourselves. Many memories, including a family wedding, a sixtieth birthday party and a gathering of octogenarian cousins have been born at our Kiawah home.

We really enjoyed this location and there waas plenty of room. We had three families in this house and we were happy to have a location that fit our needs. The bathroom with each room was excellent!

It is lovely here and your house has been perfect for the size and character of our family. Friday we spent on the beach - we loved biking there. The children found a live sand dollar, starfish, and hermit crab. This beach is so pristine and beautiful compared to NC beaches we have stayed at in years past. That evening we were able to sit down as a family for the first time in years. Thanks to the two kitchens and your LARGE tables. Saturday we biked all over the island as a family, to Beachwalker park at the west end, to the Nature Center, and down the beach almost to Cougar Island. Everything is so quiet and peaceful. We would love to stay here again around the same time neaxt year. Thank you for making this house available to us and have a wonderful year!

Well, we love this house except for all the problems with the washer, fridge and ice machine - (As Mr. Conway said: 'The appliance God was not on our side this week.') The weather was perfect all week! Claire (5) learned to swim in our practically private pool next door, and Mason (9) loved soccer practice with the Olympic soccer stars and biking to the Ocean Course. We loved all the turtles on this side of the house. And the awesome grill! All the sand toys and boogie boards. And the amazing glass showers! And, the very well appointed kitchen. Thank you!

We have had the most awesome week with our family in celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary. There were 14 of us and we really enjoyed having the space of both homes. We had a lovely after Christmas gathering of three generations of the family; our three children, their spouses and six grandchildren. This is our fourth year at a beach for christmas vacation. This is our first in Kiawah Island in your lovely house. We enjoyed all the amenities of the house and the environs - especially the bike riding on this lovely island. We wish the weather had been a bit warmer- but its colder back home. Thank you!

We had a great time! The town is beautiful and the bike riding was awesome. The beach is wonderful. Love the bike trails and easy access to beach, tennis, etc. The house was great for multiple families. We could suggest a few more cutting boards and dish towels as we love to cook!

We enjoyed your wonderful home - it was the PERFECT size for our family. In our 21st (!) year at Kiawah, we celebrated a 21st birthday (he was only a few months old during our first stay), a midnight Harry Potter premiere, complete with wands and lightning bolts, and all of us trekked into Charleston to see a Riverdogs game and experience "southern hospitality" at 'go back to Ohio' night. The Logan clan came to Kiawah from New York, Pennsylvania, Georgia and Louisiana and we loved our time here. Our youngest member had his second birthday just a couple of weeks ago and celebrated his trip to Kiawah by climbing out of his crib for the first time. We loved the house, the beach, lunch at the Sanctuary, early morning walks on the golf course and the peace and quiet. We thank the Conways for making this time possible.

A wonderful time for our family of fifteen - the houses connected made it easy for all. The fullly stocked kitchen was fabulous. We celebrated Christmas this year away from home for the first time. It was easier for us as we lost our dad in July. Walks on the beach and biokle rides around the island were healing for us.

We had a great time in your home! We had a group of 17, ranging in age from 2 1/2 to 63. We always love coming to Kiawah and this year was no exception. The short bike ride to the beach was always fun, especially since we got to see alligatrors many times. Our family also participated in the 2nd annual "Amazing Race" in which six teams of two raced around taking pictures of various sites on the island and then jumped in the pool to finish. Another tradition we enjoy is having groups prepare dinner and entertainment wach night. Thanks for opening your home to us!

What a special treat to enter your home and find Scripture on the walls! Our family felt an instant bond although we've never met. We returned last night from our week in Kiawah; and, I must tell you that we had an absolutely delightful time. Turtles Inn was the perfect place for our family to be staying. The accommodations fit our family to a tee. Everything was wonderful there; and, it was a pleasure to be in a home on Kiawah, that was updated, spacious and clean. We treated your home as if it were ours. Turtles Inn is beautiful; and, you have quite a gem there. We felt as if the pool next door actually belonged on your property. It is secluded, and surprisingly enough, we were the only people there, with the exception of one day. Your location was ideal for all of the events that we had to attend on the Island. My grandchildren were so delighted that they could walk across the deck or through the upstairs, and be in our side of the house. I thank you so much for the opportunity to stay there. I will sing the praises of Turtles Inn to everyone I know, except for the times when I want to stay there again. Bobby S. told me that he is going to be there with a large group of friends, for a week of golf. Tell those guys that they had better be good boys, and keep that house clean and decent. The weather was hot & HUMID, which made us northerners almost melt a couple of days. Lots of beach and pool time punctuated by family dinners/gatherings. A few local birding excursions yielded some southern specialties like Painted Bunting, Mississippi Kite, and the ubiquitous Carolina Wren and Chickadee. The Nature Center had some nice displays and the observation tower on Blue Heron Pond Road is a good view. Our trip to Fort Sumter was very good - though stay a while and wait for the next tour boat. The villa here at Ocean Green is luxurious and the people were very friendly. There is plenty to do,whether staying on the island or venturing out to Charleston (use River Road!) When visiting central New Hampshire, stop by Central Baptist Church for fellowship, worship and friendship! Rom:5:23 & 6:23 & 5:8 & 10:9-13. Acts:4:12

Well, the week started out very grim with all the locals telling us this was the coldest Easter they have had in years. But by the weekend the temps got into the 70's and the beach could not have been better. We missed the snow in Chicago too, so that is even better. The kids loved Kiawah and asked if we could move here - that's a pretty good reveiw. If only the golf was a little more reasonably priced! Thanks for a great time.

It's Saturday morning and we're sadly packing up. We have spent 21 spring breaks on Kiawah and this was one of the finest.The grand-children spent many wonderful hours on the beach and our whole family did lots of fun cycling. The weather was beautiful! We had upper 70's and lower 80's and sunshine every day until our last day, which was a bit chilly but very sunny and allowed us a day in Charleston to shop w/out any regret of giving up a beach day. :) We could not have asked for better weather. We rode our bikes, visited the beach and pool each day. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
