My daughters and I spent a week at the Maderia Beach cono. The condo was clean and very spacious and the pictures provided were exactly how the condo looked. The location was great with John's Pass right up the street. One area of weakness was the kitchen which was lnot equiped with many utensils and cooking pans. We didn't have a can opener, but the office staff got us one within the day it was reported. We also didn't have any potholders which were never supplied. It would be nice if there were some beach chairs, the one there was ripped and not able to be used. The owners supplied a list of restaurants, shopping centers and activities in the area and this was very helpful. We had a great time and will definitely consider returning.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We originally tried to book this unit but it quickly became unavailable. Kathy was kind enough to help us book another unit at this resort. The distances from all the landmarks were just as described. Check-in and check-out was quick and hassle-free. The property was clean. The pool was smaller than I expected and visible from the main road. However, the main focus of our trip was not pool time so this did not really matter to us. Madeira Beach was a short walk directly across the road. John's Pass was also a short walk away where we ate lunch and dinner, shopped and saw dolphins as well as many pelicans. Clearwater Marine Aquarium where Winter the dolphin lives was a 30 minute drive. We went to Legoland which was about 1&1/2hrs away and Busch Gardens which was about an hour drive. St. Pete's Beach was a short 10 minute drive. Several Publix locations are nearby, about 10 minutes away. If you're looking for a nice mall, International Plaza near the airport was about 30 minutes away. Should our travels take us back to the Tampa area, we would definitely return.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, people with disabilities, families with young children.
Owner response: Thank you for taking the time to write a review. It is most appreciated. We hope that someday your travels bring you back to the Tampa/ St. Pete beaches!

Our family of 4 stayed in this unit for a week in March during peak period. We were more than pleasantly surprised with the condo unit and facilities. The unit itself was very clean, well updated and cozy. It is not over-sized, but for most vacationer's needs, it is perfect. Seating was ample and comfortable, and the kitchen and bathrooms were fully stocked with basic supplies for our needs. The view of the marina from the sliding patio door and balcony was lovely and serene. Morning sunrises were always a pleasure. The balcony has 2 patio chairs and a small table, and can be comfortable enough, but the neighboring balcony is very close with no privacy available. The resort itself was also kept very clean and its appearance was updated enough. Staff were always available on the 2nd floor, and were courteous and helpful. The pool area was was well cared for, and did appear a little larger than the photos suggest. Still cozy, but never crowded at the times we ventured there. The 6th floor 'Sunset Room' did offer a terrific view of the Gulf and housed a modest, but very clean workout room. Internet in the complex is offered free, but isn't terribly quick, and was somewhat spotty at times. A petty quibble, and possibly our only bellyaching we could offer about the facility. Beach access was directly across the street, on a beautiful stretch of gulf sand. It is a less crowded stretch of beach than some in the area, which may suit crowd-phobic types. Peak times still saw many people enjoying the sand, but nothing like the Clearwater or St. Pete's beach crowds. One of the reasons we chose to stay at this property was not only the resort or gulf beach (which both were wonderful), but also, the close proximity to the John's Pass area. Within a 5 minute walk, we were able to enjoy the fun tourist trap of knick-knack shopping, boat tours, surf-shops, ice-cream vendors and the many restaurants that are offered in John's Pass. You really don't have to use your car after your initial grocery supply shopping (also very close by), as the terrific selection of pubs and restaurants within the area are all walkable. Lastly, we'd like to thank Kathy (owner) for the caring and helpful personal phone calls and emails we received from her. We would not hesitate to recommend this condo and facility to others, as we experienced a wonderful family vacation all around.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.
Owner response: What a nice review and you covered every aspect so accurately. I am delighted that our accommodations met your expectations and that you enjoyed your time on the beach. Regarding the internet connection...I am guessing a call to the front desk may have solved the issue. Both my husband and I are often working while down there and have not had any issues. I do know that Brighthouse had some problems up and down Gulf Blvd. that perhaps that was at the time you were there. Thanks again for your input. It is much appreciated.

we really enjoyed the Madeira Bay Resort. The accomodations were very nice with all amenities. Overall very quiet facility especially on the harbor side. We especially loved fishing off the sea wall and docks. It is in a great location near everything you need to enjoy your getaway.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, people with disabilities, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.
Owner response: Fishing is our second favorite thing to do while visiting the Gulf... eating it is for sure the first. Nothing beats a fresh caught fish dinner and many restaurants do "hook and cook"! We are delighted that you enjoyed yourselves and that you felt at home.

This is a well-kept and modern property. Our condo was nicely furnished and very clean. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of dishes, appliances, and other useful items. Our view from the balcony was of a tranquil marina and the beautiful Maderia Beach was but a short walk across the street. There are plenty of things to see and do in the area. St. John's Pass is within walking distance. There you will find lots of stores, restaurants, a floating casino, and places where you can sign up for deep sea fishing, etc. A great Publix grocery store is a quick drive away in Treasure Island.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.
Owner response: I love the view as well. There is always something different to see both day and night. It amazes me how active the fish are at night. You can hear them so well while sitting out on the balcony. I hope your stay was restful and relaxing.

Very comfortable, clean, close to John's Pass (about a 3 minute walk ), Ocean across the street, staff super freindly and helpful. You are about a half hour from sooo many fun things to do, Dog track, horse track, boat rides, sponge village, food truck rally last Friday every month , drumming on the beach ( awesome fun), flea markets, shops! ! ! Owner very helpful with local informtion, condo decor pleasant, comfortable, everything you need available ! Have recommended to many ! ! Great place ! ! !Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway, people with disabilities, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

From the minute we checked in (well, actually pulled into the parking garage) we knew this was going to be a great vacation. Easy parking, extremely easy check-in (and check-out), and when we walked into our unit - all I can say is it definitely has the WOW factor! New furniture which is wonderful, great view of the marina and bay with some of the most perfect sunrises ever. If there is any down side at all, as another reviewer mentioned, there is little storage space for food, etc. in the kitchen - but definitely not that big of a deal. It's advertised "Location, Location, Location" - and it lives up to it's claim. We had been to this area a few times before, but never close enough to John's Pass to walk - and that was such a treat. Parking there is so horrible, and what a joy to not have to worry about that. If you've never been to this area, I highly recommend it. A particular favorite was the Florida Botanical Gardens not too far away - free and absolutely amazing!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Thank you so much for taking a few minutes to write the review. Guests find these very informative. I am in agreement with its location as my husband and I will very often walk to the pass in the evening and it is much more enjoyable not having to fight parking. As much as we like the sunsets over the gulf I don't think they can compare to the sunrises over the bay :). We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay and look forward to hearing from you in the future.

We spent a most enjoyable 3 weeks at Madiera beach. The condo was well furnished with comfortable furniture. The kitchen is a little short on storage space, but it was very well supplied. We absolutely loved the view of the boats and activity down on the bay ( I have lots of pictures of the crab fisherman directly below the condo and his daily trips out and back). The beach across the street is very nice and has great sunsets. The St. Pete area has lot to see and do, much of it free. The resort is staffed 24-7 and was very helpful.Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing.
Owner response: It was so nice to be able to meet you while we were down on the beach. I also enjoy watching the "crabman" as well as his dog. There is always something new to see either at the marina or in the water. Glad to hear that the new furniture is comfortable. I look forward to your return.

This was our 4th time in this unit at Maderia Bay Resort. We love it here because it is always very clean and the grounds are also kept very well. It is a very family friendly place to stay, with lots to do near by. There are lots of great places to eat, either within walking distance or just a short drive away. It has a beautiful pool area that is always clean and the pool is heated, which makes it quite enjoyable. If you are looking for a place to vacation with or without family, I would highly recommend this place.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, people with disabilities, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.
Owner response: It is such an honor to have you return for your 4th time. I am pleased that you can call our condo your home away from home. Before long I will be asking you for helpful hints along the beach :)

This accommodation is set up very nicely for enjoying your time in Madeira Beach. All you need to bring are your beach toys and you are ready to go. The fact that there is a site office is a plus, but the owners are very responsive to any needs as well. John's Pass has all the tourist attractions, but if you go a bit in the other direction, you also have the Conch and Salt Rock Grill as eating options. Thanks to the owners for sharing their bit of paradise!!Recommended for: Tourists without a car.
Owner response: It was our pleasure to have you stay with us and hope that our condo felt as close to home as possible. We hope your home renovation is complete and that you are happy with the results.
