A favourite local watering-hole is vintage tea room Betty Blythe, with owner Lulu Gwynne pouring an excellent cup of Darjeeling and serving bijoux cupcakes (a dressing-up box is available for those really wanting to get into the 1920s spirit).

The Cumberland Arms also pours a fine glass of pinot noir for the young professionals occupying the imposing turn-of-the-century mansion blocks that set the course for this forward-thinking polyglot neighbourhood which continues anon.
