Aloha, and welcome to our vacation home in Hawaii specifically designed for the eclectic adult. We are only a few steps away from the world renowned Waikiki beach, high-end shopping, fine and casual dining, and public transportation. This newly designed adult studio is located in the center of Waikiki on seaside avenue between the international Marketplace on Kuhio Avenue and the Ala Wai canal.

Why stay in a sparsely furnished hotel room where you are limited to sitting on a stiff upright chair or on the edge of a bed, when you can relax and enjoy your experience in Hawaii in this exceptionally clean, well designed and tastefully furnished tropical deluxe studio suite for less.

We have designed this studio with you, our (adult) guests in mind in order to make your Island experience as enjoyable as possible. We are able to provide you this comfort by using only top quality furniture, appliances and accessories for your personal enjoyment. Other units at this price range in this building and other buildings in Waikiki do not compare to the level of detail we have provided for you in this suite.

Because this is also our personal vacation home which we visit at least five times a year, we are committed to keeping this unit very clean and up to date, by regularly shampooing the carpets, servicing the air conditioner and replacing any items such as towels, bed linens, and cookware on a regular basis.

This studio boasts a large 100 square feet terracotta tiled lanai which is furnished with large comfortable wicker patio lounge chairs, coffee table and love seat. Here you can sit back, relax and simply enjoy the beautiful nightly sunsets to the south, gaze upon the grand views of Honolulu to the west, the serene and tranquil Koolau mountain range to the north or the stunning romantic evening reflections off the Ala Wai canal below.

We provide you with a deluxe Serta queen size bed, using quality bed linens with a thread count of 300 plus for your sleeping comfort after a long day of sight seeing. We also provide you with an inviting and ambient living and dining area to relax in where you can enjoy a simple meal, watch your favorite movies and TV programs, or just listen to music on the stereo.

This condo includes a customized kitchenette with all the conveniences should you desire to cook a simple meal or a late night snack after a night out in Waikiki. This kitchenette includes a standard fridge/freezer, a dual functioning microwave and convection oven, a dishwasher which are all accented in decorative stainless steel and a built in counter cook top.

Other amenities at no extra cost include wireless internet access, free local telephone calls, cable connected LCD flat screen TV, and a Stereo unit for CD/DVD playback. This unit is truly designed to be your tropical home away from home.

For your added peace of mind and safety, there is a 24 hour manned security desk located at the lobby entrance.

For all your sunbathing needs, the building has a large wrap around deck on the 6th floor which includes a large swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and many sun tanning areas. For your convenience, a massage clinic and spa, a small convenience store and a large coin Laundry facility are also located on this level. Public parking is available in the building at a daily rate of approximately $18 US and must be paid at the parking facility's booth located at the parking entrance. Enterprise car rental services is located on the south side of this building for your convenience.

Unlike other condos or apartments advertised on VRBO for the Waikiki area, all of our photos on this website were recently taken (Jan 2009) and is indicative of our apartment's current condition. I have heard of many disappointed clients complain to us that many of the properties they have rented in the past were not indicative of the property's pictures being advertised (this has also happened to my family so I know what it is like to be disappointed). So please be be aware of those sites providing no pictures of their units or ones where photos look dated (you know...that 70's - 80's look you cringe at every time you see it in other people's homes or worse...your parent's home). We also invite you to compare rates that are offered at the Island Colony Hotel, where room conditions are not guaranteed (most rooms have not been renovated in the hotel pool).

  • We arrived Island Colony Condo on 7 August 2009 for a two week stay. We found the accommodation to be clean and tidy and comfortable - like home, which is a great start to any holiday. We had everything we needed and more. The outdoor cane padded furniture was so comfortable to sit in, as we spent many hours per day enjoying the beautiful views. It would not have been the same sitting on upright plastic furniture which are visible in most other apartments, a real PLUS.

  • We just returned from our Hawaii trip and wanted to let you know how pleased we were with your condo at the Island Colony. The unit was very clean and equipped. We loved the way you have furnished the unit (very good quality furniture and fixtures), in particular we loved the queen size bed and linens (very similar to our bed in Winnipeg) and the Lanai where we spent many hours watching the scenery and working on crossword and sudoku puzzles. We did very little cooking in the unit but found everything we needed in the way of appliances and dishes. The Island Colony met our every need in facilities, laundry, small grocery store and swimming area. It is very well located to the major streets of Kuhio and Kalakaua and was in easy walking distance to the beach, restaurants and shopping facilities. Your condo greatly impacted the wonderul vacation we had in Hawaii. All I can say is "Mahalo nui loa". If (when) we return to Hawaii we would certainly look forward to using your condo unit again.   • We spent a month, this January, in this condo. at Waikiki. The condo. is immaculatley clean and extremely well appointed. We particularly enjoyed the stereo system and the flat screen TV. It was an enjoyable experience to use my laptop on the beautiful lanai thanks to the wifi. We enjoyed eating our meals each day as well as having happy hour with friends on occasion while sitting outside. What a treat! At the end of the day, we were able to sleep in a most comfortable bed. The condo. is located only a block from the major bus route and also, gives easy access to the beach, restaurants and shopping. Without hesitation, we would recommend renting this condo.and would like to thank the owners for sharing their unit with us. John & Judy Abbotsford, BC. Canada

  • We had a sensational time in your beautiful condo earlier this month! You have thought of every detail to make your guests feel at home, and it seemed that anything we needed was right at our fingertips. The lanai is especially inviting. I had planned to carry my laptop down to the nearest Internet cafe every morning, but the lanai was so perfect, I just made an extra pot of coffee and settled there to do my work and surf the Web. Of course, the bird's-eye view is so spectacular and the Hawaiian air so sweet and soporific, that concentrating on anything less than total relaxation is difficult. We would stay at your place again in a heartbeat. 5-star luxury and amenities, privacy and security, a fantastic and very QUIET location, and that lanai!!! -- this perfect little aerie is surely one of the best deals around. Any couple looking for a great place to stay in the heart of Waikiki would be wise to jump at the chance to stay in your condo. Thank you again for sharing your special vacation home with us.

    Yes, we did enjoy staying at your condo. It is so nice and in a great location. We took two tours while we were there and they both left from Seaside, which was very convenient for us! Sorry to hear you had a chair vandalized, we didn't notice it. We loved sitting out on the lanai it is a nice size and the furniture was great. Terry loved watching the golfers putting on the course across the canal! His binoculars were always handy. We found everything we needed in your condo, the only thing I could have used was an umbrella on the lanai for little relief from hot sun in late afternoon.   • During our month long stay in Oahu, this condo was perfect. It was beautifully decorated, extremely clean, newly remodeled, and we found all of these things very important while on vacation. You really want a nice place to relax at the end of the day. We also found the amenities very convenient with a store on the 6th floor, laundry, pool, hottub, massage. Not to mention how close it was to the beach and all the shops & stores we loved to visit each day. Thanks for having us, we will surely be back to enjoy your beautiful condo again!
