This property was very clean and well maintained. The before and after pictures were amazing. I enjoyed the upstairs and balcony where I could go for privacy and relaxation. This property was also close to the areas I wanted to visit.

My husband and I stayed in this lovely home for 8 days in November. The house is very clean and cute. A great home base for day trips to Zion, Bryce, and many other beautiful Utah locations. The location is convenient to restaurants and supermarkets. The owner was extremely responsive to a minor maintenance problem. The internet connection is inconsistent (sometimes fine and other times super slow), other than that minor issue we couldn't have asked for a more comfortable and clean vacation rental. We would definitely return!

The Red Door Cottage was a charming oasis for our family vacation. The home was as promised with many additional touches that made us feel "at home". For example, there are spices and other items used in cooking so renters don't have to buy items they will not fully use. The information they have on the area attractions was also very helpful as we planned out National Park visits. We also loved the town of Kanab and took many walks through the town from the cottage. The Community Pool is also wonderful as are the many restaurants available. All in all, a GREAT place to stay when visiting southern Utah.

This vacation rental really exceeded our expectations. From the moment we walked in, we felt like we were home. The quaint town of Kanab is highlighted by the Red Door Cottage. It's like stepping back in time, but with all the modern day luxuries needed for a family on the move. Our boys (ages 6 & 3) loved the hammock in the yard and were happy to have their ''own'' room. I really enjoyed the grill on the back deck as we cooked on it every night. The beds were extremely comfortable and the linens were fresh and clean. We look forward to returning again and again. Thanks again Dan & Patty.

The cottage was very comfortable, The extras (coolers, area guides, books on hiking trails, games, etc...) were a geat addition. The owners were helpful. It was clean and the beds were comfortable, the kitchen well equipped. The location was central to Zion, Bryce and the North Rim. During our stay we even saw snow on the meadows and roads on the way to the Grand Canyon. Internet is available but not the speediest when trying to check in with work, Cable is limited - but you are there to enjoy the sights...Would stay again. We enjoyed Spurs Grill ate there several times - great ribs!

We spent spring break week at Red Door Cottage and were very pleased with the comfort and convenience of the home. There were 8 adults (4 couples) in our party and the house held us all! There was ample parking, internet access for our laptops, 4 bedrooms with comfortable beds, a nice washer and dryer, and a lovely kitchen with everything we needed to actually cook--even cookbooks! This place feels like a cozy home rather than a rental unit and the attention to detail is outstanding. A great place to stay in an area with many gorgeous sights to see!

We stayed in the red door cottage this summer, as part of a larger road trip. This house was by far our favorite place to stay! It has been restorated with great attention for details. The house is really decorated following the style when it was built, but with all modern details that we use today (wifi!). Everything you will need is available: full kitchen with many appliances, two baths, 4 great bedrooms, upstairs smaller tv area for kids, wonderful large garden with hammock. The kitchen is actually quite a bit larger than you would expect from the photo, the living room is not that big, but was perfect for us. Location is on the main road, but not too busy. Perfect location for visiting some of the national parks around (Zion, Bryce, Grand Canyon North Rim). Would definitely recommend to everyone.

Thank you Patty and Dan for having such a lovely home we loved coming home after exploring at Best Friends, Zion and Bryce National Parks. The kitchen I felt was the one of the best parts of the home, we had wonderful dinners and even better conversations around that table we can not wait to go back next year!! If you are traveling with and older parent, they will love this house. There are two very nice size bedrooms and a full bathroom downstairs. Only 3 or 4 small steps up into the home. Enjoy, we know you will we did.

We loved our stay at Red Door Cottage. Plenty of room for 8 of us - grandparents and children's families. The house had everything we needed and was the perfect place from which to explore Zion, Bryce and the Grand Canyon. The kids loved the Kanab community pool next to Hamblin Park and we enjoyed the Kanab restaurants. The upstairs loft was great for our two kids - lots of books and games to occupy them. Thanks - we hope to come back again!

We stayed here as an extended familiy - three generations - in June, and it fit our needs perfectly. It was clean and welcoming, with lots of little extras, including great resources on the area and the nearby parks. I highly recommend it.

Our family stayed here in June, 2009. We hadn't rented a home before but have rented timeshares so we were not sure what we were in for....but to our surprise, this place was excellent! We felt like it was our home away from home while our family of four was on vacation. The house and everything in it were perfect and I would definitely recommend it to everyone. This was also a perfect location for us as we used it as a base camp for visting Zion one day, Bryce the next, the North Rim the next, and Lake Powell...all under 2 hours. Thank you Dan and Patty for a wonderful place, we loved it!

This house was perfect for our visit to Utah. It is centrally located to so many places we visited such as Zion, North rim of the Grand Canyon, Powell Lake, Glen Canyon Dam, Antelope Canyon. The place was clean and had all the amenities you would need. The kitchen was perfect with all newer applicances. We enjoyed coming back after a full day of hiking and sightseeing to relax at the cottage; we played horseshoes one evening! Patty and Dan were delightful to work with.

We all loved our stay. Something for everyone: 17 yr. old wanted ATV's, 11 yr. old wanted to visit the animal sanctuary, I liked the gourmet restaurant and sight seeing, Jim loved the hiking. The spring weather was a delightful contrast to the dreary Midwest. Travel to all the parks was convenient. The home was clean, very well equiped, and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was very functional, beds were comfortable, hammock and grill provided a vacation feel. We walked "to town" for ice cream and sat on the porch in the evening. Would recommend to anyone. Unfinished upstairs did not detract from our stay. So glad to have found this home!

My Wife & I stayed here 5/5/08 - 5/9/08 while visiting Bryce, Zion & The Grand Canyon. The home was all it was made out to be & more. Every detail has been taken care of for their customers. You really will need NOTHING as everything is there for you. The Rocking V Cafe is excellent to eat at and also Nedras. We tried KC's BBQ and did not really care for it. Had a very strange menu to be called a BBQ place. Only BBQ they had were ribs and they were only so-so. We will be back in the future for sure as the Red Door really makes you feel like it is your own from the moment you walk in. Congratulations to Dan & Patty for putting their heart into the restoration and sharing it with us.
Owner response:We hope all of our guests are as kind and will be as pleased as these were!!

My husband, two year old and I stayed at the cottage for 5 days. It was wonderful! It was immaculately clean, very comfortable and well furnished. It is the perfect place if you have kids that need naps or go to bed earlier because they can have their own room. The kitchen had everything you could possibly use. We ate every meal there except for two when we were at one of the parks. Soooo much nicer than a hotel in every possible way.

We very much enjoyed the home. The location on Rt 89 was perfect and it was central to the national parks. The accomodations were very nice. The house was clean and there were many extra touches such as movies to watch, games to play and the kitchen was well furnished for our cooking needs. We recommend this property for you to rent! As the first guest to the newly renovated Red Door Cottage I have to say that the Memories were ELEVATED because of our great accomendations. The light was on when we arrived, Cookies in the Cookie Jar, and Towels and Toilet Paper ready. The house was so comfortable and extremely beautiful. So many personal touches in place for the entire week. Patty was so welcoming and pleasant and said help your self to all. Location was great on a main road but not noisy at night. The scenery was beautiful every window you looked out and plenty of parking. Would never hesitate to rent again if we were in the area. We traveled from Kanab to East Ridge of the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, Bryce Canyon and Zion Canyon. The house was so nice to be at and we need some time to unwind We would travel one day and spend the next day reading, napping and having a cookout at the house. Plenty of room for all. Kanab had some great restaurants in it and shopping. Al and Madeleine April 2007
