Can't wait to return.

We've now stayed at Ravenwood twice, once in the winter and once in the summer. The property gives you a real sense of being away from it all and yet still offers the ammenities of Panorama. The cabin itself is absolutely breathtaking and comfortable and the kitchen is a joy to cook in. Great cross country skiing, hikes, mountain vistas, and swimming are all within easy reach. We hope to return again once our youngest is old enough for daycare at the resort.

Owner response:Seana, I agree, it is breathtaking. You are welcome to make this your home away from home anytime......

Good morning, ..... we're back from Paradise and want to thank you again for the stay in Panorama. It really was great - super weather (much warmer than Calgary!!), incredible ski conditions, and blue sky and sun. And then the comforts of Ravenwood to top it all off. What more could we ask???

My Family and I spent part of my childresn spring break and Ravenwood and Panorama. We skied for 3 days and enjoyed every minute of it! Ravenwood, it was outstanding-far beyond our expectations! Everything was just perfect.

Perfect for the whole Family

The Cabin was marvelous, truley a unique and wonderful place to relax. The fireplace is fantastic-we sat there for hours enjoying the warmth-played games in front of it, dines in it's glow! There is plenty of space to spread out-the kids took over the upstairs loft area-guest it was the computer and others spilled out into the lower floor where the Movies were playing. Some of us just hung out in the kitchen. Took the snowshoes out for a try-we found the perfect little loop up to the left of the cabin, then back up the hill and around to the lower cross country trails-it was a blast. We hope to make this an annual trip.

NIGHTMARE CONDITIONS

Guest: Miss Martie (Canada)
Date of Stay: 12/06/09 Review Submitted: 04/27/10

My husband and I rented this home for a couple of months this past winter, and if you are thinking of renting this property....DON"T!!!! It is poorly managed, to say the least. First of all, there was NO water. So, in December, we had to drive back to the village, to shower, and use a washroom. The management was notified of the issue, and did nothing to compensate for our troubles. It was freezing outside, and we had NO WASHROOM!!!!!! We were stuck using the public facilities on the resort!!!!!! Also, the home was NEVER cleaned. When we arrived the beds were unmade and towels were wet and on the floor, (we arrived late in the evening and I was washing bed sheets til 2 a.m.) We had discussed this as well, and she guaranteed the cleaner would come to clean the next day. Well she arrived, and did next to nothing, but did leave a note however for ME to finish up.....The list is SO long with problems with this property, but the worst of it is.....NO ONE CARES. I understand that things happen, but it is not up to me to try to sort them out, with little or no resolve. At one point the manager was going to send out the police because she thought someone had broken in as I advised her the place was AGAIN unclean.......(Imagine thinking someone has broken into and living in the home you are renting.....)Then she realized, that her cleaner just didn't bother to show up. The list is endless. Unfortunately we had committed to renting this property over a period of time and had made no other arrangements, so we were stuck there.......IT WAS AWFUL!!!!!!! Rotting food in the freezer, which didn't work, so you had to leave your food outside. Grease and grime EVERYWHERE!!!! Icy driveway and walkway which several people had fallen on....Really the list is endless.......Don't bother....there are plenty of other homes to rent at Panorama.....from people who actually CARE about them.....

Owner response:This was a very unfortunate situation. The city of Panorama had made some changes in the water pressure causing Ravenwood to be without water. This information was not discovered until the guest had arrived-which happened to be a late Friday. It took several calls to the guest and to various City works personnel, (not even the emergency number had worked). It was very horific for all concerned-to say the least. Rest assured that the Cabin is being well looked after now, and yes, this couple was compensated for their stay, however, nothing could have made up for the situatiion. Still after many conversations and phone calls they would not accept my apologies!
