My husband, dog and I stayed at this cottage for 6 nights starting on May 31, 2012. In spite of the 36-hour rain marathon, we thoroughly enjoyed our vacation. The cottage was impeccably clean, well-designed (used space very well) and in a great location. Unfortunately the water was too cold for us to enjoy but our dog loved it and I can only imagine how nice the private beach is on an 85-degree day. We were also pleased with how technologically advanced the house was (cable and perfect cell reception as well as easily accessed wi-fi). All in all, no complaints and we would definitely stay here again (in warmer weather, to enjoy the beach).

Recommended for: Families with young children, pet owners, sightseeing.

Owner response: Late May/Early June weather can be a little unpredictable but fortunately there are a number of great activities in the area for any weather. The beach is probably one of the nicest in the area so if you are looking for an ideal vacation spot, this is it.

Enjoyed the scenary and the beaches, shopping and eating out. Recommended restaurants: 45th Parallel, Bluebird (whitefish), North Peak Brewery (TC), Barb's Bakery (Northport) North Country In (Suttons Bay) Favorite Moments: Talking to friends, celebrating a friend's 15th anniversary of her gallery in Suttons Bay, Having a beautiful and cozy cottage to stay in.

Purpose of Trip: Annual Summer Vacation! First time for summer to Suttons Bay How we traveled: Car Weather/Temperature: Great - 80's All Week!! Sun - Sun - Sun !! What we did: Has our sailbosts - Kayaks, Shopped, Walked, Wineries! Mostly Relaxing @ the Beautiful Beach! People we met: Villagers Places we would recommend: 45th Winery, Leland for some shopping, Gusto's for Italian!, State Park - Leelanau - Lighthouse - Northport Favorite Moments: Had a Really Nice Time! Purpose for Trip: Pleasure How we traveled: Car Weather/Temperature: 80's gorgeous! What we did: beach time, shopping, eating, pontoon, walking, sleeping bear dunes, enjoyed playing and swimiing with our dogs - their first trip to the lake! Thanks! People we met: Jen your mom was so nice to us! Places I would recommend: Riverside, parents loved the white fish at the Cove in Leland. Favorite Moments: our first trip to Leelanau Peninsula - we love it and hope to return next year. The cottage was perfect - I will be in touch!

Purpose: No place better than Suttons Bay in August! Weather: Perfect until rain last 3 days. What we did: Beaches and more beaches, sand dunes, Hands on Art, Fishtown, Downtown T.C., Walking to S.B. for Moomers People we met: Have to visit Grandma, Grandpa and Aunt Rachel Recommendations: Boone's for burgers and perch sandwiches Favorite Moments: Jumping off cliff at sand dunes, biking trail into Traverse City Love this cottage! Beautiful, relaxing cottage

We just returned form a very relaxing week in a beautiful, CLEAN and well equipped cottage. This cottage was comfortable, clean, and in a great location to the town of Sutton's Bay. It is an easy walk to th marina, to the beach, to dinner and town. We've rented homes/cottages in many vacation towns across the US, and this was by far my favorite! Enjoy your stay,..

My husband, myself and kids 12 and 10 years rented the last week of Aug. 2008. The cottage and beach were excellent. The cottage was clean and very well stocked with all the essentials. The beach was a walk across the street and we all loved the kayaks. I would love to go back again. Heather

What a lovely cottage you have - a warm, inviting, comfortable place we have called "home" for two months. You also were a great neighbor and a helpful one at that! A great family vacation week in Suttons Bay. Great weather. Really liked this house, lots of room for this family.... and our dog Tucker. Swimming, Kayaking, walks to town, biking, windsurfing. It was nice to meet your Mom, Jen, a great hostess.

We loved our early September at Bay Dreams and Suttons Bay. This bright cheerful, beautifully decorated house was the perfect place for us. We couldn’t have enjoyed it more. Do you always provide a Red Moon over the bay? Wow! What a sight!

Bay Dreams is a fantastic place. It is beautifully decorated and has every need! While in the area visit Cherry Republic, the beach at Empire, and Folgarelli’s. Our stay here was relaxing and very enjoyable.

I came here with 6 friends (school friends) to the fact that we all turn 50 this year. Bay Dreams afforded us every luxury, the area afforded us great wine tasting, dining and shopping trip for each of us!
