Kamabesu's expansive property houses 4 master suites with full bathrooms (2 of which are in a detached unit called The Club House), a living room, outdoor dining porch and kitchen. The house is designed for the comfort of both body and soul with King-size tempurpedic beds, a large screen TV, custom mosaics and stained glass windows.
NEW 15 x 28 foot Pool, one of the largest in the area, surrounded by expansive Trex deck topped with Gazebo and Pergola for added shade. Second outdoor deck above pool and below main unit offers a relaxing place to dine alfresco.
Catering & Provisioning services available through the caretakers on property. Fish Bay is a sea life breeding ground and Ditliff point is in walking distance and has great snorkeling. The white sand beaches of St. John, located on the North Shore are only a 10-15 min drive away just past our quaint downtown.

Why the Owner Chose Fish Bay
Our family always loved St. John and the Virgin Islands both US and British. We bought on St. John because it was the least developed of the VI and had the most character. The island is roughly the size of Manhattan, an island we spent many years traveling to & from, but the population is only about 5,000. There is so much to see and enjoy here that you are always entertained by the beauty and never overwhelmed by the people. Come hike our trails, swim in our ocean and share our vistas.
The Unique Benefits at this Villa
We designed the house with families in mind. When my family is here there are about 15 of us plus 3 dogs and a cat. Ages range from 93 to infancy and people's interests vary from wanting nothing to do but lounge by the pool, to watching old movies on the TV with AC on to going snorkeling at a remote beach. We needed a place where everyone could feel comfortable and not crowded. The multi-tiered levels allows us to be together without being on top of each other, while the expansive deck by the pool gives us plenty of room to all be together for some activity and meals. This property is about family, friends and finding some freedom during your visit.
Beach is about 15 min walking distance from the house and is a great location for snorkeling and hiking. It is usually pretty empty here and you feel like you've got your own private beach.
Another great hidden location for guests is Klein Bay, a 20 min hike from the house or 4 min drive the beach is ideal for skipping stones and taking a late afternoon dip as the sun sets behind the hil
A 25-35 min hike from the house or a 8 min drive brings you to the unofficial trail head down to Reef Bay. This beach is almost always empty sans a few surfers on the reef. An awesome place to swim, s

Paula & Joe are not only the pair with the plan and vision for this villa but also head the extensive Tarta Family including their four daughter's whom the house was named after. It is a family endeavour with Katie, their oldest, and her husband Bryan as caretakers/architect of the property along with their 2 year old son Gabriel who adds his general happiness to the mix. Maggie and her husband Chris live in Mass with their son R.J. and offer the legal and IT services while Betsy, the interior designer of the crew, makes yearly improvements in the details to the insides. Susan, the dramatic actress, makes frequent visits adding flare to every aspect of the property.
