Garden House by the Beach was designed by one of Costa Rica's leading architects, who took full advantage of the spectacular pacific ocean views and dramatic sunsets of Costa Rica when designing the house. Designed for a retreat getaway in a paradise,with screens, air-conditioning, and all the luxuries to keep you comfortable.
This is a private luxury residence but comes with the amenities of a hotel, with a full service restaurant and bar within the private gates of Tulemar, with food service available at the beach. The house concierge can arrange,private chef, airport pick-up, charter a plane, etc., and will only book book the best and most credited tour companies in the area for you. SIX IMPORTANT FEATURES that makes this house more desireable than any other vacation home in the area; 1) You can walk to the nicest exclusive beach in the area without packing up your car with beach towels, toys,etc., all are available free for guests use at this beach. 2)The house is screened a necessity if you are prone to insect bites. 3)It has a large dark bottom pool that stays warm all day and night and many people can swim in at once without feeling crowded. 4)No one feels stranded while others may be doing a different activities.
Take a 4m min. walk to the exclusive beach, or walk the main road to Manuel Antonio to Cafe Malagro. You do not need a car. Taxis are relatively cheap and distance to most places within Manuel Antonio or Quepos are short. A major car rental agency is a five minute walk from the house. 5)All major restaurants and hotels both in Manuel Antonio and Quepos are within a 10 min. drive of house,and roads are nicely paved all the way to the house. No bumpy dirt road. 6)When you rent this house you rent the entire house it is yours,no other guests share the property or the pool. It is not a condo. It is a large spectacular luxury home, on a private lot. True luxury in the rain forest with ocean views and the best beach within a 4 or 5 min. walk within a gated community. No major road to cross. You are on the ocean side of the road.
There are beautiful hotels in the area, and condos often called villas, but if you do not want to take an elevator, walk down a hallway or walk through a lobby, to get to your pool, or the beach, this is the house for you to reserve. Swim in the pool day or night, it is always warm, the hours are yours, and you just step out your bedroom or living room doors and the pool that overlooks the Pacific is all yours. Not all pools are warm in the area, it depends how much exposure they get to the sun. Children love this pool as they never get cold going in or coming out of it. It is so nice that most guests find themselves using the pool two or three times a day, so be sure to bring plenty of bathing suits.

- Oceanfront : Spectacular views that you will long remember. Imagine being in the middle of a rain forest, sitting at the private large infinity pool at sunset, listing to the howler monkeys, with a full view of the sun going down over the Pacific Ocean.
- Ocean View : Garden House By The Beach, is set on a hill, but has level a level grassy area in the back of it. Why the Owner Chose Manuel Antonio
I purchased the property in Tulemar on Christmas Eve two years prior to construction. I found a piece of paradise, in a luxury setting, with an exclusive beach that made you feel like you had just landed on Gilligan's Island. The views were amazing, the homes that already existed were all beautiful luxury homes and all kept in beautiful condition. It was truly a rare find.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Whenever you enter the house you relize you have forgotten the unbelieveable view it has of the ocean and the sunsets which are so spectaular. The pool has ended up being most amazing, as it was enlarged three times on the plans, as most private pools are not very big in the area. It is also a dark bottom pool. The result is all the guests can swim in the pool at the same time and not feel crowded and it stays warm always. Any time of day or night you can go into it and not feel chilled. Children love it, and two persons, one little, one grown, learned to swim in the pool, just because they love the water temperture, and it is not extremely deep,(about 5 feet in the deepest part and about 4 feet in the shallowest part). It has been a wonderful experience to have been able to build such a wonderful home, that so many guests, and families have enjoyed, and who have left with good memories that will last for a lifetime.

Nov. 30, 2010 We just returned from the Garden House. My wife and I, and 2 sons with their families. The layout of the house is excellent. Very easy to move around in the open, kitchen, dining room, living room areas. Just steps from the pool and the most magnificent view you could ever imagine. The sunsets were amazing. We enjoyed the morning visits from the monkeys on the pool area. Thomas the house manager was always available to fulfill our requests. The first night we hired a chef and had dinner prepared. It was perfect after spending the day on the road coming in from Monteverde. What a joy to just relax and have dinner served.Can't wait to return., Jack & Sandie. Long Beach CA

What a great gated community! All of the landscaping, roads, paths and private beach in this community are immaculate and constantly maintained. Everything about this home shows the owner’s attention to details and efforts to make guest comfortable, and relaxed. Huge closets, crisp white sheets, spacious bathrooms. The kitchen and lovely dinning room make entertaining a breeze, and the guest chief was fabulous. He literally cooked up the catch of the day from the boy’s deep sea fishing trip. The views from almost all of the rooms, the pool, and multiple patios are spectacular. The pictures don’t do it justice. There are panoramic ocean views, with jungle on all sides of this spacious lovely home. The private beach is not to be missed, we went almost every day. The attendants have towels, chase lounges, kayaks, boogie boards and nice selections of cocktails. Warm water, ocean breeze and a private beach, so very relaxing The highlight of our trip was the Canapy Safari, extremely fun, informative, exciting and great lunch. We will book this home again and again. The only thing I would change is the amount of cloths I brought. Way too much for the warm tropical climate. Shorts, thongs and swim suits is about all you need!

We had a FABULOUS time at Tulemar! Your home is beautiful and the view spectacular. The pool was a life saver, with a 3 year old along to entertain. We spent many hours there. :-) Thomas was very helpful with all our plans, including the last minute ones. I have to admit, though, one of our very favorite things was the cooking by Francini and her husband. They were WONDERFUL! We thought we'd use them just the first night of our arrival, but everything was so tasty we had them cook for us three times! All in all our stay was most enjoyable. I will definitely recommend your home to any friends we find that are going to Costa Rica. Thank you so very much!

Hi Beverley! We had a wonderful vacation and the house is beautiful! The kids stayed in the pool most of the time when we were at the house. Every morning around 6am, a group of white faced monkeys came through the trees right next to the house. The kids called it "the monkey parade". I have never seen my sixteen year old son get up that early but he did every morning! Canopy tour was wonderful and three of us went white water rafting on the Chorro river! We enjoyed the National Park tour as well! It was a much needed and relaxing vacation. Thanks for sharing your home!

We had a wonderful week at the Garden House in Tulemar. This was our fourth and best trip to Costa Rica. Garden House is perfectly located, with great views, nice furnishings, very good maid service, and an excellent house manager, Thomas, who did a great job recommending restaurants and arranging for activities, tours, massages, etc. A beautiful private beach is a a short distance (but VERY steep walk back - take the shuttle!) away, but we could barely pull ourselves away from the great infinity pool with spectacular views and almost daily visits from white-faced monkeys and beautiful birds. We can't wait to return!

WOW. I still can't get over this truly beautiful home. We just returned from our too short stay in costa rica. Thank goodness we chose to stay at this home. All of us enjoyed the comfort and feel of having a home away from home. We spent many a day debating whether to walk to the beach or relax in our pool. It was truly a joy to wake up and hear all the monkeys and birds every morning while enjoying a strong cup of coffee. The home comes with such great services, a daily maid, Mayra who is great. We were able to have our fridge stocked with all sorts of food and goodies upon arrival and we even had a chef cook us dinner our first night there. I wish I could of stayed longer. The house is perfect and has everything you could possibly ever need. The community of Tulemar was incredibly well maintained and safe. I cant wait to go back!

My family recently returned from an absolutely wonderful week at the Garden House. We all enjoyed every part of every day. From early morning sitting outside with our coffee, enjouying the incredible view,and waiting for the monkeys to migrate through, to wandering down to our private beach to spend our afternoons enjoying the ocean. Our favorite time of day was gathering in the pool early evening to watch the spectacular sunsets. The house was amazing, Beverley, the owner, and Thomas the property manager, made every aspect of planning for our week a pleasure. I would highly recommend the Garden House. We're already planning our next trip!

My family and I had a wonderful time at the house. Every aspect of the house from the pool to the view was wonderful. We rose with the monkeys that visted the property regulary and closed out our afternoons playing in the infinity pool and enjoying the beautiful sunsets. We were so grateful to have the opportunity to spend a vacation together as a family in such a brilliant location. You should also know that your house staff are the epitome of what someone should look for in caring for a rental home. Thomas was an outstanding house manager; Irwin was brilliant with caring for the pool, and Mayra, especially, made our stay outstanding. I cannot say enough about Mayra she is both a sweet and gregarious woman with a high level of energy and an outstanding level of detail in caring for your home. When we return to Manuel Antonio, we will definitely rent this house again.
