Phyllis Rauch writer and innkeeper, resident in Mexico for 30 years, invites you to share her little piece of paradise! On a hillside acre, with gorgeous views, lush tropical gardens, and a 30 foot pool, we offer four different accommodations, each with separate entrance. Peaceful, private, and secure.
You may walk to the village in 15 minutes. Taxis are also available and buses run to other nearby villages. A great home base as well for many lovely and interesting daytrips.
The village of Jocotepec is authentic and charming, a slice of the real Mexico, offering lively street scenes, yummy food stands, markets filled with the freshest produce, a selection of modestly priced restaurants, and above all the friendly, welcoming Mexican people.
You will enjoy an artistic ambiance, with sculptures in the garden and painted bicycle wheels hanging in the old mesquite trees and visits to artist Georg Rauch's studio.
The Balcony Suite, with sweeping vistas from windows and balcony, features two single beds in a stand-up loft, plus an additional bed in the living/dining area below. There is also a cozy kitchen and a bath with tub and shower. AVAILABLE FOR LONG TERM RENTAL.
The Garden Suite, nestled among the citrus trees and all on one level, may be rented with one or two bedrooms. The main room is sunny and spacious and has a single bed, with a queen-size bed in a private alcove to the back. Two cooks can work comfortably in the kitchen. The second bedroom is very private from the first and has twin beds. There is also a private outdoor patio and you will be just a few steps from the solar-heated pool. AVAILABLE FOR LONG TERM RENTAL
The Deluxe Casita, totally private, with the best views on the property, boasts a "sunset" balcony from your bedroom, as well as a patio for daytime dining and your own herb garden. It is multi-level with a generous kitchen, dining area on the first floor, a separate WC and shower on the mid-level and a delightful bedroom at the top. The beds are twins, but may be converted to a king-size bed if you wish. This, our newest cottage, is charmingly decorated with Mexican tiles and ironwork, and of course, samples of the artist's work. AVAILABLE FOR LONG TERM RENTAL.
The newest Marble Suite, has marble floors, a queen sized bed under a cupola, very spacious living/dining area, double sinks in the bathroom, and all decorated with special Mexican charm.
AS OF APRIL THE MAIN HOUSE WILL ALSO BE AVAILABLE FOR LONG TERM RENTAL.
