Why the Owner Chose Ixtapa

We bought at the BVG because we found ourselves wanting to come to come to Ixtapa every time we vacationed!! Finally after 3 or 4 times we bought by far in the nicest condo complex in Ixtapa! Over the years,our condo has become a"base" that seves to house "The Mission of Healing Eyes" twice per year.This is our non profit that does cataract surgery on the blinded poor there! Headed by wife( who organizes the volunteer team including our kids) and myself as the eye surgeon.We have done over 200 cataaract surgeries and given eyecare and glasses to over 750 incredibly poor people. It`s so awesome how God works! We are able usually to use the Naval Hospital across the street and other condo owners have donated ther condos to house the volunteers !

The Unique Benefits at this Condominium

The third floor location is high enough to provide spectacular views while being low enough to use the steps which makes it handy when needing to "grab " something from the condo .(great for kids).The keyless lock makes for "no hassle" in remembering or losing keys .(Most of the condo still use keys which I find to be a hassle especilly with kids.

Hi I am an Eye Doctor In Denver Colorado. I have been all around the world and this is my favorite place to go. Our condo is fabulously furnished(It was the model),has amazing views,with a balconey that is protected from direct sun so you can use it all day. All the bedrooms have an ocean view which is only found with this layout.(Most of the other condos have the bedrooms tucked in the back of the condo with no view!) You will not be disappointed !

    • My husband and I stayed in unit 301C with our dear friends and it was spectacular! We felt like we were at a 5 Star Resort with ALL the amenities:concierege building, spa, health club,and pool restaurant.Unit 301C was spacious,very clean, beautifully decorated and fully equipped with everything we needed. We particularly liked the 2nd floor location of unit 301c which enabled us to use the stairs or the elevator.Unit 301C faces north with beautiful views of the ocean and sunsets from the terrace.We highly recommend this unit, we will be returning with our extended family.

    • Me and my family stayed at this beautiful and comfortable condo for a week. We wished we could have stayed longer. The view, pool and beach were great. Very clean and not crowded at all. Everything within walking distance. The condo has everything you need. Zihuatanejo not far at all. The only thing we did not like was the towel rule. You must only take the brown/embroidered towels to pool area, which means you have to wash them everyday in order to use the next.

    • We stayed at the BVG Unit 301-C for 10 days including Easter weekend 2008. It was a very comfortable and brightly lit unit with plenty of space for everyone. This is a very safe, well guarded building with two terrific pools and a great view of the spring sunset from the north facing terrace. The daytime concierge was helpful in setting up dinner reservations at area restaurants and hailing taxis. The wireless internet access worked very well for 8 of our 10 days in case you need to do some work while you are here. The A/C worked very well in the unit and helped abate the security guards' slightly annoying walkie-talkie radio communication calls that could be heard chirping every few minutes when we tried to sleep with the doors open. The three main bathrooms are very nice and sizeable - keep in mind that "hot" in Spanish is "Caliente" so the shower dials are almost all backwards with the C on the right actually being the hot water. The kitchen is fairly well stocked with appliances etc but you won't want to be cooking there too much as it inside the unit with no direct sunlight and it's too nice outside to be cooped in there anyway! The snack bars by the pool are quite reasonably priced. The north side snack bar seemed to have slightly better food and service although the menus are the same. You’ll be very comfortable at this lovely condo and will find it hard to ever go back to staying in cramped, expensive hotels after staying here!

    • This is our 4th year in Ixtapa. Our 2nd year staying at the Bay View Grand. It is the most beautiful place to stay. Unit 301C is our favorite unit. The unit is very spacious and fairly well equipped. Even though there are many fabulous restaurants in Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo, we still enjoy cooking at home. Watching the beautiful sunsets and the sounds of the waves on the large sundeck is wonderful. The unit made us feel right at home. We enjoyed the unit so much that we have booked it with another couple for next year. Thanks for making our vacation a great experience.

    • If you have not been to Ixtapa, you are missing the pearl of the Mexican Riviera. The Bay View Grand is the finest property on the beach. And the best located. We stayed in condo C301 and found it to be charming, casual elegance. We enjoyed coffee and cocktails on the spacious terrace overlooking the pool and Pacific. We slept well to the gentle sound of the surf below. The accomodations and amenities are superb. I would highly recommend this rental for your Ixtapa vacation.
