Our family spent 35 wonderful days at Whale Watch while house-hunting on St Thomas. The villa was so comfortable, peaceful, quite and decorated beautifully. Though our stay was in the heart of summer, the fresh breeze kept the villa nice and cool. Even during the day, we rarely needed the A/C. We have two young girls that, like us, absolutely loved the villa. Our three year old actually learned to swim in the pool. We hated to have to leave.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+.

We really enjoyed our stay at the whalewatch villa. Unfortunately our stay was really too short to fully enjoy it. I would recommend at least a week stay. It truly is a beautiful place. The owner Kristen was great to work with as I've never done a vacation rental before. And scott was very helpful giving us some ideas of what to do and where to go. He even made dinner reservations for us our first night at a cute place called "Craig and Sally's".Owner response: Tracy - Please come back to see us again soon and plan a longer stay! Whale Watch is a beautifully decorated villa that is very comfortable and well equipped. The views are spectacular!! The owners and property manger are very professional and friendly with excellent recommendations. This is a great place to stay in St Thomas. Very well equipped! Is exactly what they advertise it to be and then some!! We would recommend this villa to anyone. Owners are very professional to deal with! If we had to think of any suggestions for improvement, it would be to upgrade the beds as they were not very comfortable and we had back aches in the morning. But when you are in a great place like this who really cares....Scott White the onsite manager was a big help in showing us everything and making recommendations!Did you find this review helpful? Thank you so much for opening your home up to us. The beauty of the island can be seen and heard just sitting on the deck. About the owner: We are a semi-retired couple with three grown children and one grandson, age 13. We love the beach, the ability to visit other islands when we wish, and we simply adore the island people. Harley is an avid fly fisherman and was thrilled to discover bonefishing. We've also been blessed to meet many new treasured friends in St. Thomas.
Why the Owner Chose Caret Bay:
We started visiting friends who own a St. Thomas home about 10 years ago and we simply fell in love with the islands. After our yearly trips, we finally decided once a year just wasn't enough and we were ever so fortunate to find our beautiful small villa when we decided to buy our own piece of paradise. It's one of our favorite places on earth!

We love staying in the villa. It is very conveniently located for getting around the island and it's also very private. We think it is lovely just to stay in if we don't feel like going out for the day or eating out - and of course, it is much more economical than staying in a hotel.
We never tire of taking in the gorgeous vistas both day and night; swimming in the private pool, and relaxing together alone or with friends in the beautiful sunshine with the soft trade winds blowing.
