Ocean Crest is a unique Southern Oregon Coast home, located on a 1.5 acre knoll with unobstructed 180 degree ocean and beach views, this 2100 square foot Historic home was built in 1909, lovingly restored a few years ago, this home speaks of old world charm, vaulted ceilings with open beams thru-out, plank floors, original doors with vintage knobs, and claw foot tub in master ensuite.
3 bedrooms, the master has a king pillow top bed, one guest room has 2 beds (1 queen & 1 double), the other guest room has a queen bed. All beds have quality linens, and down duvets. 3 full bathrooms. Bright and airy, big windows throughout provide views from all rooms to either ocean, beach or mountains.
For you foodies, a fully equipped kitchen provides all utensils with gas stove for cooking, while looking through the wall of picture windows with the waves crashing on one of the most spectacular beaches on the Southern Oregon Coast.
In the living area, the 2 sided fireplace can be enjoyed from the kitchen/eating nook and the living room. A separate dining room with a full table and seating for 6+. Expanded cable with large flat screen television in living room, and TV in master suite. DVD & VCR with video library. Hi-speed internet. Beautiful furnishings throughout, including antiques as well as fine linens. Inside laundry room with washer and dryer.
A new 500 sq. ft. deck wraps the entire ocean side of the home with a private hot tub with uninterrupted Ocean & beach views. Fruit trees, and migrating Roosevelt Elk enhance the property. Cedar Bend golf course is only 4 minutes away, Salmon Run is only 40 minutes south, with Bandon Dunes world class golf only 45 min. to the north. A 7 mile long beach within 1/4 mile of home, ideal for flying kites, beachcombing or endless romantic walks. The Largest wildlife park in US is nearby. Numerous hiking trails and state parks all within the vicinity. Exciting Jet Boat rides or fishing on the famous Rogue River. 3 casinos within 1.5 hours. My husband, two daughters and their husband/fiance spent two nights at this awesome historic home. The views are amazing. It sits on a hill and there is no other homes near you...so tranquil. You can see across the way to Hwy 101 and beyond that the ocean. We got the master bedroom which was fantastic. At night when you turn off all the lights you can lay and bed and gaze at the stars through the big windows. There is a big claw foot tub in the master and the other rooms are nicely decorated too. Love the shabby chic decor! There are a lot of steps leading up to the house--only a concern if you have someone that might consider this an issue. Otherwise, great house! Would definitely come back again! Oh and the weather was absolutely perfect this time of year.

We had an awesome time at this beautiful historic house.It was everything we expected and more! You weren't far from the beach, you could watch the waves roll in and even listen to the sound of the ocean! I would defenitely recommend this beauty. I'm waiting to plan another trip. the Kitchen was fully equiped, they even had dvds that you could watch if you wanted to watch tv. personally i was outside most of the time or in the Hot Tub. The hot tube was clean and we had no problems with it.The master bedroom was quiet grand, and the openiness of the room with a wall of windows. Just beautiful!

My girls and spent our 18th annual ladies night out at this home. We were all very pleased. Although, we all agreed that the description should have mentioned that in order to get to the house one must climb many stairs. One of the girls just had knee surgery and we had no idea of the stairs. Although we loved the house and the surroundings, we probably would have chosen a different place had we had known about the stairs. We would definately rent this vacation home again.....as long as Sue's knee is in top shape. I would recomend this place to anyone...it's beautiful.

We just spent a spectacular week enjoying the Oregon coast including biking much of that coast, including uphill! After all those miles and lovely scenery, we spent 2 glorious days night at Ocean Crest, a really lovely way to end that week of biking and sightseeing. The restoration of that farmhouse which is now Ocean Crest obviously represents creative and passionate attention to details...it reminded us of a beautiful, French farmhouse. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and have sung it;s praises this past week to long term Portlanders, who are always looking for a new Oregon Coast adventure. My husband and I wanted to find a place away from the stress of the city where we could both unwind and just thoroughly relax, and we found it in Ocean Crest! Your home with its charm and history is just what we needed. Sitting in the hot tub, listening to the waves crashing against the shore....and that great bed in the master suite with the most amazing views... THANK YOU, so much.

We had a wonderful time in Gold Beach, the house was very well kept and matched the description provided. From this locaiton all the venues we wished to visit were within an hours drive including; Redwood Forset, Trees of Mystery attraction, Rouge River Jet boats, Harris Beach State Park, West Coast Safari, and old town Bandon.
