Wake up, walk into your kitchen and grab a cup of coffee, walk out the back door and soak your feet in the heated in ground pool that is completely screened in. Our home sleeps 10 people with two master suites and two rooms with two twin beds for the kids. The living room and each bedroom have their own TV, with cable and DVD. Another feature is all long distance calls are free. There is also a game room set up with a pool table, foosball table, and basketball game.
You will feel safe as Emerald Island is a gated resort with round the clock security. My wife of 25 years and I and are 2 kids (ages 11 and 14) have owned this home for 6 years and it has been wonderful. We are not a large company as this is our own second home that we are renting out to you, so you will get personal service and you know it is well maintained. Come enjoy.
Why the Owner Chose Emerald Island Resort
We chose Emerald Island after extensive research. Resort amenities, gated security 24 hours a day and Location, Location, Location. In less than 10 minutes you are at Animal Kingdom or MGM and in another few minutes you are at Magic Kingdom or Epcot. Great restaurants (Outback, Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Buffalo WIld WIng, Houlihans, etc. are only a couple minutes (1.5 miles) away and shopping is the same with a Marketplace, Super Target, and Publix within 2 miles away.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 1/2 week stay here in August 2011. Our party of 9 (4 adults, 5 kids) had lots of space and everything we needed. The property was well maintained, as was the resort as a whole. We were also very pleased with the service from the management company, as the couple of minor concerns we had were addressed right away. The owner, Mark, responded very quickly to all e-mails, right from our initial inquiry, and answered all our many questions! We also brought a few extra pool towels, which was not at all necessary, and the kitchen was very well stocked if you choose to cook some meals on vacation.
Recommended for:Families with young children, families with teenagers.

This was our first trip to Florida. We stayed here for 2 wks in April 2011...We loved it. We have a family of 4 and another family of 4 also stayed in home. The house is clean and spacious, rooms are huge , 2 really nice childrens rooms, (4 single beds)The resort is gated and you feel safe there...and there is also alot to do on resort. We plan on going there each time we go to Florida now that we have the Disney bug..as most people call it. We are all from Nova Scotia, Canada. Thank you Mark for all your help and your house. Location of pool got good sunshine in the afternoon and later in the day as it faced the West. We did notice the pools behind us had shade in the afternoon. The two bedrooms with the twin beds are a bit smaller so definately better for children, not adults. Location of Emerald Island was very convenient to all amenities. Owner responded quickly to any inquiries. Thank you Mark.

Hey again. I tried putting official comments on VRBO, but it kept autofilling my name so that it would show. If you’d like to put the comments in for me, I’d appreciate it. I titled it “We’ll be back!” Our family stayed a week in September 2010 and this home was exactly what we needed! Every room was nicely decorated and well maintained! The owners thought of everything--even beach towels and a cooler were available if necessary. The wireless access was a definite plus as well. Check in was very quick and efficient. I was also impressed that the owner emailed after our arrival to make sure we had everything we needed. Thanks for that personal touch! This location is VERY convenient for Disney--only about 10 minutes from driveway to parking lot. And there are plenty of restaurants/grocery stores nearby as well. We plan to return and this is where we'll stay! Thanks! Jenni

The listing and pictures are as accurate as you can get! The property was beautiful and spacious for us all! There were 6 of us here, 2 adults, and one 19, 18, 14 and 13 year old. We loved the pool! Everything is so close by whether it was amusement parks, air boat rides or shopping and dining.It was all here from 5 minute drive to a 20 minute drive. We came back every evening and cooked a meal! The area was very quiet and we had wonderful neighbors during our stay. The staff at the resort are wonderful people, very helpful and pleasant to deal with! There is even a lot to do here at the resort. The owner Mark was wonderful with any questions we had and was always accessible!

From February 2010 stay - family from Michigan. Comment on starter supplies is being addressed. Their email is as follows: I was very happy with the place overall. The positives- you were great about making sure I enjoyed my stay. You were very reasonable and responsive. The house was large enough to accommodate the 8 in my party. The floor plan was good. The pool was nice. There were plenty of towels. The house was clean and no deferred maintenance. The negatives- the mgmt company seems to run things cheaply (I don't think this is your fault). There was only 1 roll of toilet paper, only 1 garbage bag, no dish soap, no dishwasher detergent. With that said, I would rent again. The value was great and you were a consummate professional in your dealings.
