Located on a quiet cul-de-sac, this 2,600 square foot, tri-level home in the midst of quaking Aspens in the Elkhorn area of Sun Valley is just five minutes from town of Ketchum and the resort at Sun Valley. A walk out the door delivers you to hiking and biking trails, a free shuttle to town, and the nearby ski lifts and other abundant year-round outdoor activities.
The main floor features a bright and airy great-room, large stone fireplace, and expansive decks. The newly remodeled kitchen, with granite counters and maple cabinetry, is fully equipped with top-end cookware, service for 12, and a stocked pantry with many staples. The dining room comfortably seats 8-10 people. Ample outdoor seating and a gas grill make for wonderful summertime entertaining or quiet enjoyment of the surrounding mountains and quaking aspens. A small flat screen TV, cable and satellite service with a home theatre system provide music and entertainment. A nice selection of CDs and DVDs are provided for your enjoyment.
The upstairs master suite with a view of Mt. Baldy features a luxurious pillow top king size bed, armoire with TV and DVD-VCR, large walk-in closet, sauna, jetted tub, and separate shower. Keep toasty warm with the electronically controlled heated slate flooring in the bathroom and heated ceilings throughout.
The downstairs has four more rooms and two more baths. Two bedrooms have queen size beds. A third room (den) has a beautiful queen size leather sofa bed, a home theater system and a closet full of games. The main bathroom has heated tile flooring, full tub, and shower. The second bathroom has a full shower and is also the laundry room. A sunny studio/office with gas log stove (heater) has a computer and printer with free high speed internet and WIFI access and has a twin fold-out sofa bed.
The heated large garage is directly accessible from the entryway for your winter comfort. There are six bicycles, back packs, and ice chests for your use.
Things to Do -
The Sun Valley area is spectacular and beautiful in summer and winter. Outdoor activities are abundant year round and the area boasts superb restaurants, shopping, and galleries.
WINTER -
-Ski the 3,400 vertical feet terrain of world-class Bald Mountain, with a variety of skiing and snowboarding for all levels. Heli-and cat skiing, back-country skiing, sledding and snowmobiling are available nearby.
-Miles of trails offers classic or skate cross country skiing as well as snow snowshoeing.
-Excellent ski schools, beginner slopes, day-care and rental facilities are available.
-Enjoy the Christmas holidays with Charles Dickens Carolers and hot cocoa and a Christmas Eve Sun Valley Ice Show at the outdoor rink followed by fireworks.
-Relax in the home sauna or the Elkhorn Village hot tub and steamroom.
-The free bus to River Run Lodge is just a short block from the door.
SUMMER -
-Bike the 48 miles of paved trails plus dirt trails with the six comfort style and mountain bicycles provided.
-Hike, backpack, picnic, or drive to enjoy unbelievable views of the mountains. Travel just an hour to the Sawtooth Recreation Area with beautiful Redfish Lake.
-Take the ski lift chair up the mountain for an exhilarating mountain bike ride down or lunch at the top.
-Free access to tennis courts and pools, or golf at the renowned Elkhorn Golf Course (fee).
-Fishing on the Big Wood is one mile away and the world famous, beautiful but sometimes humbling Silver Creek is just 40 minutes away. Local shops can provide all that will you need.
-World and Olympic medalists perform at the outdoor ice rink from mid June through Labor Day followed by fireworks from the top of Dollar Mountain.
-Special music events include the Summer Symphony (August) and the Jazz Festival (October). The local theater companies provide outstanding live theater performances.

Let me begin bay thanking you for the wonderful accommodations. Myself and all of my guests had a wonderful time. If I had to guess the enjoyment was beyond everyone’s expectations. Your home is truly fantastic, the accommodations were fabulous, and the location is perfect. I am sorry that I did not have an opportunity to leave comments the other day when I left. But, we were running short on time and with my hand writing you probably would not have been able to read them anyway. So I figured I would just drop you a line.

This updated home is lovely, well-maintained and has every comfort needed for a wonderful vacation. It had no problem accommodating our group of 6 in style!
