Casa Alegre is the perfect place for nature lovers and honeymooners alike, whose main priority is privacy and interaction with the abundance of wildlife.
Casa Alegre will sleep six comfortably. Two bedrooms are equipped with king size beds, each with a private bath. In the main living area the furniture converts into two twin beds. Two additional futons can be rolled out in a pinch. Both bedrooms are air conditioned if needed. We recommend that at least one night of your stay you drift off to the soothing night sounds of the jungle and the soft sound of waves rolling toward the shore. You will wake refreshed, smiling and ready for a taste of some of the best coffee in the world, produced right here in Costa Rica.
The main living area is cool and comfortable with a large open kitchen that is well stocked with pots and pans, glasses, and cutlery, everything you'll need to create a gourmet meal or a simple late-night snack. Beautiful hand carved doors, crafted by a local artisan, complete the interior ambiance. The covered porch wraps around three sides of the house. Here is where you will dine, entertain or just relax in the hammock as limitless varieties of birds and butterflies crisscross around you.

Why the Owner Chose Nosara
I am originally from California but spent many years living in Europe and the Middle East. The first time I vacationed in Costa Rica I felt like I had finally found a place to call home. The Ticos (Costa Ricans) a warm welcoming people - you won't find any better in the world. The wildlife, natural environment and beautiful beaches are amazing. I never tire of watching the Howler Monkeys hanging around the property.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Campo Alegre is a unique property it's tucked away in a serene area away from it all! Yet, it's just a 5 minute walk to Guiones Beach - one of the best surfing beaches in Costa Rica. We are a 3 minute walk to the world renowned Nosara Yoga Institute. There are lots of great restraurants and shops with in walking distance.

We love animals and nature. Our property, Campo Alegre, is a perfect spot for our horses, dogs and cats. We both ride and train horses. Diego's specialty is training Tope (dancing) horses. I love birdwatching and Costa Rica has plenty to choose from!

Campo Alegre - Linda's place - is really wonderful and Linda is super friendly and makes you feel very welcome whilst giving you the space to get on with your own thing. We stayed in Casita de Amor which was really comfortable and had eveything we could want. The accommodation overlooked the pristine lap pool, which we had to ourselves a lot of the time, and the new tennis courts. We spent many a happy early evening sat on the verandah listening to the (very sweet) howler monkeys in the trees right above us. Linda's place is ideally situated, just a short walk from the beach and great surf and near to several good restaurants and bars and the yoga institute. It is really pretty and extremely well kept and has a very secluded feel. We had a wonderful time in Nosara and can't wait to go back! I would strongly recommend Campo Alegre as a fantastic holiday venue.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, pet owners, age 55+, families with young children.

We had a fantastic time at Campo Alegre. The house is comfortable and clean. We took full advantage of the pool and tennis court. But we cherished most being able to walk to the beautiful Pacific Ocean, hearing the howler monkeys, breathing the clean air of this remote place, and being surrounded by the lush variety of tropical plants that grace the property.

Wow! What a hidden treasure. Campo Allegre has it all: five minute walk to the beach and great surfing, ten minutes to Garza for fishing, horseback riding tours through the jungle and on the beach, tennis, and don't forget lounging by the pool or watching the monkeys eat mangos above you. The two bedroom house has ample space and the hand carved doors, cabinets and furniture are absolutely beautiful. July is a great time of year for a visit.

Wow! What a hidden treasure. Five minute walk to the beach for great surfing, ten minute drive to awesome fishing, horseback tours through the jungle and on the beach, tennis, or just lounging by the pool watching the monkeys eat mangos. Camp Alegre is beautifully constructed with hand carved teak doors and furniture. July is an awesome time of the year for a visit.

Linda, the owner, makes you feel so at home in her beautiful property. Our home above the stables was immaculate and we loved it. Staying there you enjoy the monkeys daily and there was even a baby right outside our window many mornings. And the pool was fabulous on hot afternoons. While there we walked to the beach to see the sunset, but drove to the restaurants; many offer a beautiful view of the sunset. I went zip lining at Miss Skye. That was fantastic!. The best restaurant was Marlin Bills. He know the local fishermen and offers great fish, hamburgers, and a different menu daily. The men went deep sea fishing and came home with lots of great fish. It's a trip of a lifetime and Linda's great relationship with the locals and the Ticos made it especially nice. Everyone knows her and makes you feel welcome all over town. The roads are dirt and it is hot so you'll want to arrange transportation of some kind. There are rental car companies in town. I'd recommend this property to anyone who is interested in a jungle vacation. I absolutely loved staying there.
