Why the Owner Chose Woodward

My husband Marlin and I fell in love with Woodward, in Central, PA because of the patchworked countryside, astounding views, and majestic mountains. Woodward, PA is a Natural and wild treasure because of it's close proximity to thousands of acres of PA State Forests. Close to nature but not far from culture! Tucked in the middle between Lewisburg and State College, we have the best of both worlds!

Our history is in the agricultural community. We sell and service Farm and Forestry Equipment. We also make what we call "Gourmet Hay" on the grounds of Woodward Crossings. Horses and Horse farmers love our alfalfa, mixed grass and timothy hay for the flavor and nutritional value.

The Unique Benefits at this Cabin

Central PA's blessings of nature will surround you at Woodward Crossings. With scenic acres, a stocked pond, Pine Creek and and the pure and simple ambiance of our Vacation Rentals, you'll find rest, relaxation and rejuvenation. Flyfishing, Road Trips, Cycling, Hiking, Cave Tours, PSU Events, Amish Stops and Shops, Farm Markets, Antiquing, are all closeby. On grounds you'll find rest areas, picnicking, campfire rings, flyfishing, yard games, and a gazebo with 360 degree views!

Very Relaxed

Date of Stay: 07/10/11 Review Submitted: 08/01/11

Woodward Crossing was wonderful!! Marlin and Karen were very gracious hosts. The accommodations were great. The front porch with a swing was especially nice to sit and hear nothing at night but the frogs in the pond and the far away muffled clop of the horse and buggies as they went their way. Knoebels Amusement Park and State College PA are just 1 hour away. Penns cave Is just 45 minutes away. Would recommend Woodward to any one who wants to get away from the noise and traffic of city life to the quiet and solitude of central PA.

From an email: “I just want to thank you for a wonderful weekend. It was exactly the type of getaway that we hoped for. My little girls had such a nice time and you have a beautiful place. We are hoping to return in the fall for another short getaway. The hill across the creek was perfect. All I need is a snowmobile to take me to the top each time. Take care and hope to visit again soon. Best Wishes.”

We come up here as a sort of marriage retreat, and the cottage and the location, and the view! Were all so conducive to that. If we get the opportunity, we will most definitely come back. Thanks again. God bless.”
