MAHALO!
Everyone on Oahu knows the Ilikai Marina; ask any kama'aina (local). Unit #584 is right at the center of action for the Ala Wai (Ala Moana) boat harbor and beach park, and a hundred other magical points of interest, yet is remarkably pleasant, convenient, and luxurious. At 679 sq. ft., this condo is considered large by Waikiki oceanfront standards.
Picture yourself watching the outrigger canoe practices, cheering on world-class surfers, or toasting the blazing sunset with your Mai Tai from our completely refurbished and updated luxury condominium. Or maybe marveling at the Friday night fireworks at the Hilton from one of the best vistas in town. Serene, quiet, ocean front and marina front living with a 180 degree ocean and marina view. A true one-bedroom unit, a "sliding wall" closes to ensure complete privacy for the master bedroom and your guests.
Our unit is at the more tranquil Ewa end of Waikiki, yet mere minutes from Ala Moana Mall, Hilton Hawaiian Village, Ft. Derussy, Magic Island, Duke's, and 100 other tropical destinations, especially the sparkling white sands of Waikiki-the "funnest" beach in the world!
Don't feel like cooking? Three "best in Honolulu" restaurants are within a one-minute walk: the Chart House, Tanaka of Tokyo, and Sarento's Top of the "I." The Red Lobster, and the Harbor Pub are also a one-minute walk away. On your way to the beach, stop off at Canoe's world famous restaurant and bar for excellent food, drinks, and "local kine" hula and music. All this within a one-minute walk.
Locals love the look and feel of the Ilikai Marina, and you will too. The warm feeling of aloha will gently soothe your cares as you relax into the local kine lifestyle. Many of our guests don't even bother to rent a car; "The Bus" is consistently rated the best public transportation system in the USA.
Public parking is an option right in front surrounding the Marina, or purchase a parking pass in the building for $140 per month ($115 the second month), and you will be able to walk directly from your car to our unit; no elevator ride or stairs to climb with your packages.
We also feature an inside-the-unit washer and dryer, big screen TV, AND whisper-quiet central air conditioning! All new furniture, appliances, fixtures, and decorating. Yes, we love it! You will too! No bait and switch on these photos. EVERY PHOTO TAKEN BY US OF THIS EXACT CONDO!

Ocean Front Marina Front Waikiki-Ilikai Marina "Pink Plumeria"
Year Purchased: 2006
Why the Owner Chose Ilikai Marina
Both my wife and I love the Hawaiian people, the culture, and the Hawaiian oceansports. We have both been avid outrigger paddlers and racers for many years. I have been surfing since I was 4 years old. We get into the water whenever we can...which is never enough of course! Part of our commitment to Hawaii is to cherish and respect our opportunity to own a condo in the Land of Aloha.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
We fell in love with our condo as soon as we saw it. It is in one of the most laid back areas of Waikiki, and is right next to where my wife's father worked at the old Kaiser Hospital for many years. He loved this neighborhood and lived in it for years.
Our condo is very nicely appointed, upscale, refurbished throughout, and is wonderful ohana for those of you looking for a little less intensity with a little more of the local-kine feel of the neighborhood. Our proximity to the HIlton gives us the same beach and play opportunities, at
much less cost.

My wife, formerly from Sacramento, CA and Santa Cruz, lived on Oahu in Lanikai and Kailua for many years, and was a successful chiropractor in Kailua. She is now a chiropractor practicing in the Santa Cruz, CA area. Although she still considers herself a novice, she loves dancing and performing hula shows with her halau (hula school) Te Hau Nui in Santa Cruz.

This is the second year in a row we have rented this great 1 bedroom condo for a month. We love this location on the quiet side of Waikiki beach and we love this unit with the most amazing harbour view and breathtaking sunsets. You can be as busy or as laid back as suits you. Oahu offers a wide variety of restaurants, fresh seafood and tropical fruit. Lots of historial sights/museums, beautiful beaches, places to get away from the crowds, sunshine and the ideal climate!!! Oahu is so graced with a healthy, peaceful and safe lifestyle. The owners have literally thought of everything and anything that you could possibly need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The pictures are a true indication of what the condo is like and equally as important, the owners are pleasant to deal with and their courtesy and professionalism is second to none. We found the bus system great and used it all the time and believe it or not you can see the majority of the island by public transit. We love the Aloha Spirit and in a lifetime of travel we have never discovered a more beautiful community of people than on Ohau. We highly recommend this condo for your vacation and we hope to be fortunate enough to return again next year. Mahalo Rex and Erica for the privilege of sharing your home away from home. Just spent 10 wonderful days at the Pink Plumeria. The condo was exactly what you see in the pictures, it was very clean and well equipped including beach chairs and towels! Erica and Rex were great to work with and Lila was there when I locked myself out of my unit, still with a smile on her face. The condo is within walking distance to everywhere and that is exactly what we did...walked everywhere! I would recommend this property and would love to stay there again.
Owner response:Aloha Karen, We are so glad you had a great stay at the Pink Plumeria. Thank you for your nice comments about the Pink Plumeria and our service, as we really appreciate you taking the time to offer such positive feedback in a public forum. We never get tired of hearing things like that. We hope that you can come back and stay with us again. With aloha, Rex and Erica

Great location overlooking the harbour. Central to Waikiki and the night life but quiet enough to get a good nights rest. Nice apartment with everything you need to live independently. Cool and quiet air conditioning. Cute lanai with great views of the harbour. Good spot for people watching. Can't really go wrong staying here. Excellent experience. We will be back!

We've spent 10 days in Pink Plumeria and satisfied with our choice of accommodation in Hawaii. The unit is well maintained and has all amenities to make your holidays comfortable. The location of Marina building is very convenient: 7 minutes walk from the beach, next to ABC grocery store and few restaurants, 10 minutes walk from Ala Moana mall. On Friday night you can enjoy the fireworks from the lanai - the view is perfect. There are many other units in Waikiki which might sound similar, but what makes this unit special is the owners (Erica & Rex) and onsite property manager (Lila). Rex was very accommodating & flexible with our pre-arrival requests and late departure arrangements. Great & professional people to deal with with! We definitely recommend Pink Plumeria for staying in Honolulu.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Pink Plumeria for 9 days. I cannot say enough about the location of the condo. It was perfect in every way ... spacious, comfortable, convenient and provided some of the most amazing views I had ever seen! We were within a 15 minute, very comfortable walk to the bustling Waikiki beachfront and still enjoyed some very quiet and peaceful nites. Its also walking distance to the Ala Moana shopping center if you are in the mood for some shopping. We rented a car and parking was not as expensive as I had expected. There is a public beach parking lot right across the street from the condo. We ended up paying $8 for a 12-hour period. We drove to the eastward beaches every day so $8 really did not seem like much. I would STRONGLY recommend staying at the Pink Plumeria to anyone looking for their perfect location. You will LOVE this place!!! I GUARANTEE IT. We certainly did!!
Owner response:Mahalo nui Delmi, and thanks for being so easy to deal with and communicate with. Ho'omaika'i! Rex and Erica

Just arrived home back to Florida from a weeks stay at the Pink Plumeria in Waikiki. This was my first experience with VRBO, and can attest that this location and property is every bit and more than was expected. My (2) teens and myself set-out on a Family adventure and were very pleased with the acccomodations. If your looking for more than a hotel, then this is the place. Shopping, Restraurants, and convenient stores within walking distance. We loved so much, I wish I could ship my personal belongings and move in for good! All the comforts of home and more. We plan on returning as offen as possible.
Owner response:Mahalo nui for the kind words Dwayne. Your comments regarding the improvements being made at the nearby Ilikai Hotel were very helpful as well. Good to know. We hope to see you back soon. E Komo Mai! Rex and Erica

We had a great stay in Rex and Erica's condo. It was in a great location with fantastic views of the harbor as well as the beach. We could park the car and walk to most places. The condo is done so tastefully and kept very clean. Lila was available to answer any questions we had. We will definitely return to Oahu and wouldn't think of anywhere else to stay. It felt like home away from home! Thank you for being such great hosts.
Owner response:Mahalo for the super nice comments Joyce. I know Waikiki was a part of your visit to several islands, and we are stoked that you had such a fun time at our condo. A hui hou! Rex and Erica

"Aloha, we stayed in this lovely condo from December 17th, 2009 to January 31st, 2010 and did not want to leave and come back to the winter in Ontario. The whole experience from the start when we made the reservation was wonderful, Rex and Erica are a delight to deal with, very professional but friendly, and Lila, the property manager, is the best. Everything you need is taken care of and from the minute we walked into the apartment it felt like home. We did not need a car, we bought bus passes and went all over the island, very easy indeed. Among other things, we went on a dinner cruise on the Star of Honolulu, which we thoroughly enjoyed, and we also did a Hummer tour to the Kualoa Ranch and the LOST and many movies locations, which was a real highlight - well worth it. We loved watching the Friday night fireworks at the Hilton from our Lanai with a glass of wine, and it was great being in Waikiki over the Christmas and New Year's holiday season. There is a well stocked library and DVD collection in the condo and our favourite was the HAWAII 5-0 tapes. There are so many great restaurants in the area, and we tried some of them when not using the well appointed, well stocked kitchen. Our favourite had to be Sarento's Top of the "I", we went there for our 50th wedding anniversary dinner, and then our daughter and son-in-law spent their first wedding anniversary in Waikiki and we went back to the Top of the "I" for that celebration. The view out from the lanai over the Yacht harbour and the Pacific Ocean beyond is spectacular and the sunsets every night were unsurpassed. There are so many things to say, I cannot fit them all in here, and we cannot wait until our next visit. Mahalo to Rex and Erica and best wishes for 2010. Jean and Barrie Ward, Ontario Canada." Thanks again Rex and Erica for sharing, and we'll be in touch later in the year. Jean and Barrie
Owner response:Jean and Barrie were extremely friendly and easy to deal with. We are so glad your 50th Anniversary worked out so well for you! Ah yes...those sunsets every night...... :-) Thank you both so much for your kind comments. Rex and Erica

Perfect home away from home, base for Oahu exploring. Great view-there's something about the gently rocking boats docked at the marina below and aqua sea beyond. Easy to ocean swims, sunset strolls, even to view graceful hula under the banyan tree at the Halekulani. Love the kitchen to slice papaya and pineapple, prepare fresh fish from the Farmers Market, not have to eat out all the time. Hosts are dedicated to a memorable stay, have many hints. We will return. Aloha!

Phil had trouble getting his comment up on the site, so I am including it below for him. -Rex- ******************************* Top notch all the way! If you read all of the reviews you'll notice several common threads...a beautifully located and maintained condo and what a pleasure it was to deal with Rex and Erica, the owners, and Lila, their lovely and knowledgeable property manager. This was our first time renting a privately owned condo and we couldn't concur more whole heartedly...a fantastic place to stay in an amazing vacation destination!
