  This condo is a great home-base for a Stowe vacation in any season. It is clean and bright, with high quality modern amenities and mountain charm all in one package. The location is extremely convenient to the best Stowe has to offer and the grounds and view are second to none. This truly was a perfect rental for our recent weekend get away. The best aspects of this condo include the extremely useful organization of supplies provided by the owners and that it is extremely clean and well maintained. Supplies such as bedding or kitchen utensils are easy to find and clearly labeled, as are light switches and closets. Finding what you need is a snap in this well stocked rental. There is no fumbling with thermostats or hunting for the right light switch. Bathrooms, kitchen appliances, and fabrics are fresh and inviting. This condo is in tip top shape. The location is within walking distance of hiking, restaurants, and recreation options. The condo complex itself includes beautiful grounds, views, and a club house. I would recommend this condo to anyone looking for a high quality location at a fair and reasonable price. I can't wait to visit again!

  Arriving to a mist-shrouded mountain did not diminish the comforts of this home, but quickly inspired use of the real fireplace (with plenty of kindling and wood to awaken the scout in us). Stocking feet were the norm as the home was Mary Poppins clean. Fresh towels aplenty, a huge bed that you stay amazingly warm and snug burrowed in the soft pillow top, and enough sink space for all that you brought and all that you forgot to bring. Easily used the ancient technology known as the VHS, and enjoyed the large television ( we ran out of time for the DVD). From a command post perspective, this home is perfectly situated. One can merely walk around Stonybrook and spot deer and hawks, or walk on the Stowe bike path that is adjacent. Outstanding restaurants are a very short drive away, and major hiking is not far - you can look out the many windows and see a mountain just waiting for hikers. Beer enthusiasts can find an amazing store in Stowe, or venture to The Alchemist brewery for samples of highly rated beer. Relax by the fire and enjoy some beautiful views. One can peer over the upstairs railing and keep an eye on those in the living room. Cross country trails that may be used for walking are within Stonybrook - lack of time prevented checking out the trails. Any kitchen items we needed were there, great glassware and every question I had was quickly answered by the owner. We were truly welcomed into their home - Vermont style! The photos of the home are exactly as we encountered (except for the snow - that will be someone else's adventure...). We were there for less than a week, and that was not enough time for all we wanted to see around Stowe. We will return (owners willing) to continue what we started, but with more down time to relax in the home (especially if one does climb every mountain). Note to cookie lovers - the Von Trapp bakery had cookies the size of a dogs head. I was full of Stowe Dutch pancakes and did not try one, but if one is daring... The Stonybrook staff were helpful with directions and bakery questions (Edelweiss Mountain Deli makes a VERY fine apple pie).

  we enjoyed our month stay during color season at this comfortable condo. the condo is spotless, well-maintained, and nicely appointed. the owner has thought of everything you would need to make your stay memorable. he was also helpful with any questions we had and we felt we could contact him any time .the view of mt mansfield from from the condo is the best -ever changing with the leaves turning,the fog and the clouds-it was always beautiful .walking distance to link-up with the stowe rec path was nice. the stowe area qffers a multitude of walking and biking trails, many good restaurants, and farm markets. p.s. -the shower is fantastic also. we enjoyed having the fireplace on cool evenings-well seasoned wood.-appreciated. we would highly recommend this condo (stonybrook #6) to our friends and anyone looking for a great vacation spot. we are already looking forward to returning.

  We spent a great week there in August with our 2 small children (1 & 3.5). The condo is very comfortable and fully equipped. It boasts fabulous views of Mount Mansfield, and is right near the Stowe Recreation Path. There is also a swimming pool on the property. To make things better, the owner is extremely friendly and knowledgeable; he was always available to give us useful recommednations about restaurants and intersting things to do in Stowe and around. Highly recommended.

  This condo was well equipped and well appointed. The furniture was comfortable, especially the bed in the master which was a very comfortable upscale hotel quality bed. The view also made our stay very enjoyable. The location is great for reaching everything we wanted to see within a short amount of time. The bike trail is close by and you can ride into town within a few minutes. The yard area was great for playing lawn games as well. We also enjoyed the swimming pool and most days had it completely to ourselves! I don't believe the hot tub was working during our stay though. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay. The property was clean and well maintained. We would recommend this unit to our friends and family. We enjoyed driving to the top of Mount Mansfield as well as visiting the Von Trapp Lodge after viewing The Sound of Music which was provided at the condo. As far as restaurants, Harrison's Restaurant was recommended as a local favorite but we found it disappointing and overpriced. We enjoyed The Whip and found their food to be the best in Stowe and we went there on two occasions. The Mexican restaurant was also disappointing. I don't believe the photos accurately portrayed the furniture in the unit but that was not a major issue. We also frequented Scoops for ice cream a few times. If you visit, you have to try a Maple Creamee!

  We spent 6 days in Stowe during the 2012 march break. This location is excellent. It is clean, very well furnished and the beds are very comfortable. EVERYTHING is in perfect order and there is plenty of fire wood. Over the years, we have rented numerous times if many locations. In Quebec, in Italy and in the US. This property ranks in the top 2! Brooks, you delivered everything promised! Even the snow... Until next time...

  Our family had a wonderful stay at this condo in Stowe. It was very clean, well organized and accessible to the mountain for skiing and to the many excellent restaurants and shops in Stowe Village. The view of Mount Mansfield from the condo was beautiful, too. The owner was a pleasure to deal with and went out of his way to help with restaurant recommendations, etc.

  Our family of four (2 kids ages 8 and 12) had a wonderful first time experience in Stowe and staying at their home. Everything was exactly as described and it was a beautiful home. There were so many extra things that made it such a special home along with lots of instructions on how to work appliances, lights etc. We were right along the rec path which was such a convenient location to bike to shops, restaurants, and activities (like putt putt golf). It was in a private and quiet location. The view from their home was breathtaking and we loved eating outside or just sitting out there and soaking in the view. We really got to experience the many moods of Mansfield! Having never been to Stowe before, we were so appreciative of the time taken by the owners to share anything and everything with us to help us get acquainted with Stowe. They had such great suggestions on restaurants, hiking trails, a bike store and on and on. Getting oriented to Stowe ahead of time really made our stay so much more enjoyable. It is so nice to get to work with someone who truly loves the place to which you will be visiting. We will highly recommend their home to anyone we know who will be visiting Stowe. We were very sad to see our stay come to an end and really hope to make it back very soon ourselves.

  The owner keeps this unit immaculate and well-stocked so all you need is some time and some food. The location is excellent with access to trail systems including the famous Stowe town bike path. Comfortable for up to 4 - 6 with excellent views down the valley of Mt. Mansfield and surrounding mountains. We all agreed we will rent again.

  As a family of 4 ,we spent 5 wonderful days in this condo enjoying the view, the outdoors activities(hiking,crosscountry ski ,down hill ski) all nearby,and the warmth of the well equiped and cozy condo to come back at night(either in the jacuzzi or around the fire place).Most of all we appreciated the attentiveness of the owner, all his recommendations and descriptions were accurate.
