We LOVED this VRBO. Close enough to the attractions yet far enough to get away! From the couch to the bed to the hot tub - everything is comfortable and RELAXING! Big open space for the dogs to run. The only thing that kept this from being a 5+ was the reservation process. I sent 3 emails over a 3-4 week period before getting a response. Then when I did get a response. It took nearly another week to get an answer to any of my questions. The whole reservation process via email took nearly 6 weeks - and it wasn't for lack of trying on my part. I suggest picking up the phone unless you have incredible patience! But, I must say it was worth the wait and frustration of the reservation process!

This was the perfect choice for my and my wife's 10 year anniversary! The custom wood everything was amazing. I was pleasantly surprised that WiFi was available along with an exceptional sound system ready to plug an ipod into. It was close enough to civilization so everything was within reach while still maintaining it's seclusion. The hot tub was amazing! We never caught a single drift of the chicken farm mentioned by other patrons. Thank you for the perfect get away!

This was easy to find great directions and close to the sights the area has to offer. I couldn't ask for a better time to get to know my husband again. Just wanted to thank you for having everything set up so nice for Honeymoon we never got to have. After 23 yrs. of working and raising kids it was about time we did this! I hope to get to do this again soon!

This cabin was way more than we expected!! My husband and I plus our "fur child" Champ stayed here two nights, with my mom and dad joining us for the 2nd night. We had the best time, it was just what we needed. The chicken smell was there at night but wasn't enough to ruin our trip! The hot tub was amazing...wish I was sitting in it now : ) The fireplace had a mind of its own, we did get it to work but then had to open the windows to cool it off haha! I LOVED the decor, everywhere you look you see something new! We ate at Randy's in Trenton Friday night and it was sooo good and everyone was so nice!! It's so close to Chattanooga, we were able to do so much..Rock City, Ruby Falls...so much fun!! We will for sure be back very soon and often~~

Chef & Mixologist Hit the Woods

We had an amazing time here. Most of the time we kicked it in the hot tub. We came in contact with no neighbors at all, except when we decided to leave the cabin by car. It's cozy and the bed was so comfortable. We BBQ-ed and made some lovely cocktails. We didn't bring any of our own entertainment, so we played a lot of Junior Trivial Pursuit. We will most definitely be back, and next time with more games and movies. The place smells great inside, and everything was very clean. As far as the chicken smell that other people reviewed about... we only smelled that once when we first got there for a length of 5 minutes. The cabin is tucked in the great outdoors, which we loved.

Great Cabin

We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin. The pictures do not do it justice, and it's just as it's described. Quaint, charming, lovely and secluded are just a few words I would use. The hot tub was great, clean and just the right temp. The bed was wonderfully comfortable and everything was neat and clean. We would love to stay there again.

My husband and I stayed in the cabin the week of Aug 28 thru Sept 4.I was born and raised in the Chattanooga area but had no idea the cabin was located in such a great place.We had a wonderful week and really appreciate the fact our dog was welcomed as well... He loved running in the yard and sleeping under the big bed...lol... Thank you so much for opening your cabin to us.. Perfect weekend!

I want to thank the owners of this property for allowing us to rent for a beautiful spring weekend 2011. We had a romantic getaway as a couple and made memories which will last us a lifetime. The cabin was perfect for two of us and we thoroughly enjoyed our weekend on Lookout Creek. It was perfectly stocked with items we forgot to bring, such as aluminum foil, spices, etc. The location was perfect for easy access to Chattanooga. We definitely recommend breakfast at Aretha Frankenteins in Chattanooga and be sure to try the pancakes. The bacon, fried eggs, and fried potatoes are also excellent. The country road where this property is located, is sparsely traveled and you feel like you have the world to yourself when you stay here. We enjoyed the hot tub overlooking the creek as well as sitting by the creek itself. We will definitely come back again in the future and the pictures on this site do not do this property justice. The only constructive feedback we have is for more frequent filter changes/chemical maintenance of the hot tub. The only reason I say this is because we are hot tub owners and are very meticulous about performing maintenance ourselves. If we didn't know anything about hot tubs we probably would not have known it was time for a filter change. We simply washed the filter out ourselves and enjoyed the hot tub which was set at a perfect temperature.

Spring Break

My two children and I stayed at the cabin for three nights while on spring break. The cabin was cozy and it is good for a party of four or less. The bed was comfortable but the pull out sleeper sofa not so comfortable for an adult...but for kids who can sleep anywhere it works. The area is quiet and access to downtown Chattanooga was good. Unfortunately, we did experience the 'fowl' smell of the chicken farm nearby. Also, the biggest turnoff was going out to the back deck and finding a huge ashtray filled with cigarette butts, and a table with ashes on it. We could also tell there had been pets in the cabin due to the animal hairs in the cabin. We did have a good experience dealing with the owner. Thank you.

Owner response:I'm proud to say that the cabin is going to going through a very needed update this April. We will be replacing the mattresses, all linens, new dining chair seat covers, etc. As much business we have, we need and will keep everything new, fresh, and as comfortable as possible from now on. Please do not hesitate to leave suggestions at the cabin for us.

Our 5th anniversary stay

My husband and I stay in this cabin for a little get away on our 5th anniversary. The cabin its self was lovely and cozy just as described. I really enjoyed the fact it was peacefull and we was able to relax after explorering Chattanooga. The only problem we had was the smell from the chicken house's that are near the cabin. The first night the smell was so stronge that we was unable to be outside to enjoy the porch, grill out or use the hot tube. The second evening the smell was not as stronge but still nasty we did go outside for a small amount of time but not as long as we had planned. I am sorry to say but we will not be returning to this cabin because of the chicken house smell.

Owner response:We do have a chicken house fairly close to the cabin (within a half mile - not in view from the cabin) and living in the country, we really have no choice. Only occassionally, will the wind pick up in a different direction and blow the smell of the house in the cabin's direction. This does not happen as often as it may seem. This is the first time we have had this many people say something about it this frequently. I'm working with the owners of the chicken house to minimize the problem as much as possible.

We fell in love with the cabin and the drive there was excellent. The place is perfect being within minutes of all the attraction and yet it was very peacefull. I can't wait to do it again. Rock City was just wonderfull, I'm definetly planning another trip. By the way the funiture in the cabin is amazing, some real craftmanship. Thanks Brittney for everything!

New Year's 2011

As the others said, the photos do not do this wonderful peaceful and private hand built cabin justice. We spent New Year's weekend here and it was one of the most enjoyable vacations we have ever had. It rained Friday night and it was such a neat sound on the metal roof. The gas fireplace had the cabin cozy and warm in just minutes. You can have coffee on the porch and watch the creek rush by, and the fog lift off Lookout Mt. as you sit in the cozy hot tub. The bed and all the wonderful handmade furniture are so very comfortable and the cabin has all that you need. It really felt like coming home at the end of the day after sightseeing in Chattanooga, just minutes away. Not only do we recommend the Pickle Barrel in downtown Chattanooga for a great Corned Beef or Pastrami Sandwhich (and of course fried dill pickle spears!) but be sure to grill a steak on the back porch too! Brittany, thanks so much for making this available to us all! It is truly a little bit of heaven!

The pictures on the web doesn't do the cabin justice.The hand work is beautiful you can tell alot of time went into this cabin and furniture This cabin is breath taking.This is one of the cleans cabins we have ever stayed in.The owners were very helpful in answering our questions.We will be tell our family and friends about this cabin.You can sit on the back porch and listen to the birds so peaceful. We will be coming back.

My husband and I spent an extended weekend at your cabin. It was absolutely wonderful. The pictures do not do this place justice. Cozy is the perfect name for it. The hand made rustic furnishings are beautiful. We loved the fact that the cabin was scenic, yet only 20 minutes from the attractions that we wanted to see. The cabin, being pet friendly, allowed us to share this vacation with our 2 boston terriers who loved Rock City and Cloudland Canyon Park. Thank you for a great getaway!

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful relaxing visit while staying in your cabin February of 2007. It was very cozy and the rustic furniture was absolutely beautiful. My husband and I would like you to know how beautiful your cabin was and the best time we had staying there. The furniture you have put inside of this cabin is very beautiful and all the decorations are so wonderful. All the work done to decorate and build this cabin I can tell was done from the heart. I was told your family builds all the furniture in it and I am looking forward to buying some furniture from your company for my homes as well now. We enjoyed the serenity surroundings and all the beauty outside of the cabin as well. We felt so relaxed and we are looking forward to spending more time there again. This is our 3rd time staying and it gets better to us everytime. Thank you for everything you done to make us feel at home and comfortable.
