Nestled in the small resort town of San Carlos Mexico, our water-front home is luxurious and spacious yet cozy and inviting. Dramatic panoramas of sea, mountains and sky, secluded,lush courtyards, winding wrought-iron staircases, and grass-topped palapas overlooking the ocean are just a few of the characteristics of our charming vacation home.
5 of the 6 air-conditioned suites open out onto the large veranda or private balconies overlooking the terraced gardens, mountains and sea. Depending on the time of year you visit, you awaken to fresh oranges, limes, and grapefruit for breakfast off of the trees in the courtyard. My husband and I spent a wonderful Thanksgiving here, one of the most peaceful and relaxing holidays I can remember. It's like a completely different world. I remember getting up in the morning, having a glass of freshly-squeezed orange juice from the courtyard fruit trees, and going down through the gardens to the little palapa overlooking the bay. Here I watched long lines of pelicans floating past, first one direction and then the other, while my husband did a bit of fishing. The view is breath-taking, and the quality of the light is indescribable. Everything seems luminous all the time. For lunch sometimes we would eat just tortillas and guacamole, though the property has a very nice kitchen. But it's hard to imagine tastier food than the lardy little local tortillas--I could eat them plain. Although it's wonderful to feel like you're in your own solitary paradise, it's also fun to go exploring in town. And a sunset cruise in the bay is an absolutely unforgettable experience. The villa itself is spacious, comfortable, and very interesting to explore.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

The villa is the closest to heaven we've ever been. As we explored the house when we arrived, we could not believe how beautiful it was. Although we had studied the photos on the website, each room was more comfortable and beautiful than the next. The staff could not have been more helpful. The house is unique in how many places there are to sit and relax. We were a large family gathering and it was always easy to find a quiet place by yourself. We loved that you could walk to town. Don't miss taking a sunset cruise! I really can't say anything negative about the house or our expereince. If you are looking for a place for a group to be together, be it a girls' retreat, a family reunion or just a couple of friends you couldn't pick a greater place.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
