Owner's Profile

Owner Description

Year Purchased: 2005

We vacationed at this property for 8 years and always dreamed of owning it. When it went up for sale, we were very excited to take the next step and become the owners of this lakefront property in Maine. Our 5 children all have fond memories of spending family time on Echo Lake and have made some lifelong friends with vacationing families from around the country.

Why the Owner Chose Fayette

The location of this property is an hours drive from our hometown of Wiscasset, allowing us to spend lots of time at the lake. Because we spent 8 years vacationing at the property before we purchased it, we knew we would be happy spending more time there. We really enjoy the peacefulness of the lake, sitting at the beach, watching the sun rise, sitting on the dock at night looking at the stars, watching the wildlife around us.

The Unique Benefits of this Lodge

The property has over 800 ft. of lakefront, part of it is a sandy beach area. It is located in a rural town, yet is just a 20 minute ride to the city of Augusta with lots of shops, a movie theater, and restaurants. Echo lake is home to many loons and hearing their nightly calls is something we look forward to every spring and summer.
