Enjoy, relax and get-a-way from it all in this cozy completely refurbished 1890’s two bedroom apartment whether you’re on vacation, traveling, working or visiting the area. A stay at the Rock Saloon Apartment is a little taste of the old West, furnished in period antiques with the pleasures of today’s modern conveniences. The building was built in 1890 of local quarried stone and hand made red bricks. The upstairs (the apartment) was used for gaming and activities organized by the “ladies of the night.” Originally the building was the Rock Saloon, then the US Post Office from 1928 to 1985, then in 1991 Antiques Etc., which it still is today. The building is a registered historical site in New Castle as the Rock Saloon. Please see our website.
We are located in historical downtown New Castle, Colorado jump off I-70 at Exit 105 just 12 miles west of Glenwood Springs or 14 miles east of Rifle. The apartment is about an hour’s drive to world renowned ski resorts Vail and Aspen. In ten minutes you can be fishing, or within a hour Jeeping in the mountains, enjoying the Flat Top and Cline Tops in the White River National Forest. New Castle is known as the Gateway to the Western Colorado Rocky Mountains along the Colorado River. |
