Casita de Amor

Casita de Amor, the name, Little House of Love, says it all! Set above the pool and tennis court on a hilltop knoll, it is our most secluded house. Completely renovated during the summer of 2006 with new woodworking, appliances, and updated fixtures the house is in pristine condition. A private hilltop world of mango trees and howler monkeys, hibiscus and butterflies beckons.

Casita de Amor is an open studio with a queen-size bed and adjoining bath. Enjoy the air-conditioning if needed though nothing compares with the sounds of the jungle lulling you to restful sleep. Create gourmet meals in the fully-equipped kitchen. Feast on fresh fish you’ve caught yourself after a morning on the ocean with one of the many boats offering half day or full day fishing tours.

Casita de Amor is enchanting and cozy and perfect for two. Should you have a child or friend traveling with you the sofa converts into an additional, single bed. The house is a mere 5 minute walk to Playa Guiones, a gorgeous stretch of sea and sand, famous for surfing.

Year Purchased: 2000

We love animals and nature. Our property, Campo Alegre, is a perfect spot for our horses, dogs and cats. We both ride and train horses. Diego's specialty is training Tope (dancing) horses. I love birdwatching and Costa Rica has plenty to choose from!

Why the Owner Chose Nosara

I am originally from California but spent many years living in Europe and the Middle East. The first time I vacationed in Costa Rica I felt like I had finally found a place to call home. The Ticos (Costa Ricans) a warm welcoming people - you won't find any better in the world. The wildlife, natural environment and beautiful beaches are amazing. I never tire of watching the Howler Monkeys hanging around the property.

The Unique Benefits of this House

Campo Alegre is a unique property it's tucked away in a serene area away from it all! Yet, it's just a 5 minute walk to Guiones Beach - one of the best surfing beaches in Costa Rica. We are a 3 minute walk to the world renowned Nosara Yoga Institute. There are lots of great restraurants and shops with in walking distance.

    • Amazing! My wife and I had the pleasure of staying here. The property is beautiful and represents the character of Nosara. It's a short walk to town which makes it more private and creates a better experience overall. The owner has many animals on the property which all enjoy the company of anyone staying here. The staff who work on the property are extremely friendly as well and keep everything beautifully maintained. It's also a quick walk to the beach so you get the best of both worlds. Happy travels!

    • Linda and her partner Diego have an absolutley beatiful property. We recently spent 9 days in Casita de Amor and found the house to be perfect, very well appointed, with gorgeous views on all 4 sides. If you happen to stay with Linda, say Hi to Wilma the cat, she is very friendly! While you are the place, please check out these restaurants, the food is very good, service fat and good quantities of food: The Gilded Iguana - About 2k away Rachita behide DonaSuper - great food! about 2k away Great job Linda...if anyone would care to contact me directly about the place, feel free at stylerite at mindspring dot com

    • The most amazing property. Very succluded with the best resturants just down the road. Bike anywhere or rent a car are quad. Great veiws,and a better host, the grounds are amazing! After visiting some of the properties we concidered, this was by far the best. Pictures do not do it justice.

    • My wife and I just returned from Nosara after staying in the Casita De Amor. It was a superb experience. The siting of the house and the overall property has been beautifully done. The owner did everything she possibly could to insure that our stay was comfortable. She succeeded! The property is perfect: it's close to the beach and surf, close to the Yoga Institute, has a great lap pool, maintains a secluded feeling, is very well kept up, and is just close enough to "town" to walk. We will definitely go back to stay again.

    • My boyfriend and I spent 3 amazing months at Campo Alegre. The location is perfect for people who really want to experience the true essence of Nosara. Privacy, wildlife, the best cats and dogs ever!, a beautiful pool, easy walk to the beach, friendly owner and staff, perfect weather, rocking chairs on the porch with a great view, and the over all cozy feeling of the cabina made our trip one of the best experiences in our life. We are in our late 20's and spent a lot of time surfing, reading, laying on the beach, swimming in the pool, doing music, biking, cooking, playing with animals, going to bars........so if that is what you enjoy, you will love Campo Alegre!! We did and hope to be back soon!
