El Establo Marea
El Establo is a unique, self-contained apartment perched in the green, jungle canopy. Below, our horses and a few chickens wander about the stables on the lookout for edible tidbits. Always curious they may wander over to say hello or search for that handful of oats or corn. From the porch you will be eye-to-eye with the howler monkeys as they travel through the property in search of ripe mangoes. Situated above the horse stables, El Establo is perfect for animal lovers and for those with an adventurous flair who desire accommodations that are exotic, and slightly different from all the rest.
El Establo is a large open studio with a hand carved king size bed and private bath. The furniture, as in all our houses, converts into single beds. El Establo, cozy and comfortable for two, easily accommodates two more. The soothing, wood-paneled interior features Costa Rican hardwoods finished to perfection creating a warm and inviting ambience. In your fully-equipped kitchen create a meal and enjoy it at the open air bar overlooking the adjoining jungle. Slip down the stairs and walk a few steps to the full size lap pool and regulation lighted tennis court. Fall soundly asleep to the soft shuffling of the horses below as they edge in for the choicest mouthfuls of freshly cut hay. For restful sleep if the temperature rises, El Establo is completely enclosed and air-conditioned. Maid service is provided once per week.
The house is a mere 5-minute walk down a tree-shaded lane to a white sand beach, Playa Guiones, a surfers paradise.

We love animals and nature. Our property, Campo Alegre, is a perfect spot for our horses, dogs and cats. We both ride and train horses. Diego's specialty is training Tope (dancing) horses. I love birdwatching and Costa Rica has plenty to choose from!
Why the Owner Chose Nosara
I am originally from California but spent many years living in Europe and the Middle East. The first time I vacationed in Costa Rica I felt like I had finally found a place to call home. The Ticos (Costa Ricans) a warm welcoming people - you won't find any better in the world. The wildlife, natural environment and beautiful beaches are amazing. I never tire of watching the Howler Monkeys hanging around the property.

Campo Alegre is a unique property it's tucked away in a serene area away from it all! Yet, it's just a 5 minute walk to Guiones Beach - one of the best surfing beaches in Costa Rica. We are a 3 minute walk to the world renowned Nosara Yoga Institute. There are lots of great restraurants and shops with in walking distance.

A vacation of a lifetime. I absolutely loved our stay in El Esablo Marea. The monkeys were right outside and there was even a baby! The horses are beautiful and love it when you feed them mangos. Linda is fantastic and her relationship with the locals and Ticos makes your stay even more enjoyable because everyone knows her and makes you feel welcome to the community. The posted information is accurate and we would recommend this to everyone who want to go on a Costa Rica adventure. The sunsets are breathtaking, the deep sea fishing was fantastic, Zip-lining is awesome, and the resaurants are great. Make sure you eat at Marlin Bills. He know the local fishermen.
