Here you can golf at reasonable rates and visit historical sites, the Goldfield Ghostown, Tortilla Flat, and museums. You’re just minutes from Gold Canyon Resort and the Renaissance Festival (Feb-Mar). Apache Junction is quiet and great for nighttime star gazing, but still close enough to Phoenix.
