Arena Blanca is located within walking distance of everything you need & we think it's the most beautiful condo complex in Playa. The locals call it "the beautiful building". The classic Spanish architecture, brick-lined rotunda ceilings, tile floors, marble counters & shower speak "quality".

Forget the rental car while you're in Playa!! We're located on Calle 38 Norte between 5th & 10th at the newer - quieter end of Playa. It's just a few minutes walk to great beaches, shopping & dining on 5th Ave., 2 modern grocery stores & several smaller markets. Ask us about the local Mexican and Italian restaurants right around the corner. We’ll give you recommendations, if you like!

We have two units for rent - across the hall from each other. We chose second-floor condos for the view & a little privacy! Built in 2006 it's an 11-unit gated, secure complex. Best part is not having a lot of people around! It's a great place!

The private pool has an island palapas for shade. There's access to a roof-top terrace to sunbathe or watch the sun rise & set over Playa del Carmen & the Caribbean.

It's a well-maintained complex with full-time maintenance and gardening.

Our prices INCLUDE all fees (no booking/service fees!), bottled water, wireless internet, and courtesy cellular phone.


The manager speaks fluent English & Spanish and is available to meet any of your needs (tours, rental cars, spa treatments, catering medical issues, airport transfers) or questions.

Exercise options - besides running on the beach & walking 5th Ave! It's a 5-minute walk to the outdoor city sports center that features a track for running, stairs for climbing and basketball hoops for a quick game of B-ball. You can even take in a soccer game at night. A fitness center is just across the street too.

You'll be able to tell the difference in quality from the handmade cabinets to the lighted brick-lined rotunda ceilings. We do not walk out to the pool, but rather overlook it so you can choose to be a part of the happenings at the pool or you can choose a little privacy. Our location on Calle Treinta y Ocho (38th Street) and Avenida Diez (10th Avenue) is perfectly located on the quieter end of Playa. Just a few minutes walk to great restaurants and bars along Fifth Avenue. We are just around the corner from charming, local authentic Mexican, Italian, Argentinian restaurants.

  • The condo is great!! The location was perfect. Close enough to 5th but far enough away that it was very peaceful and quiet. The grounds and pool were lovely. We enjoyed having breakfast and dinner out on the patio. Loved having the washer and dryer as we could just bring a carry on. If you stay here you must try Concina38 just down the street . It was the best place we ate the whole time.

    My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks at Arena Blanca. The complex is lovely and extremely well maintained. Our unit, # 7, was spacious, clean and very comfortable, with all the conveniences of home. The location was very convenient, with the beach only 3 blocks away, a major grocery store four blocks away, and lots of terrific restaurants close by. On future visits to Playa del Carmen, we will definitely stay here!

  • We enjoyed our visit to Playa del Carmen very much. Our condo at Arena Blanca (#7) was very enjoyable. The condo was well equipped, extremely clean and well kept. We have two young children (7 & 10) and the condo was plently big enough. The location is perfect - very close to all the excitement of 5th Ave., yet far enough away that we could sleep at night with the windows open without being kept up by the noise. The pool was a bit cool for the grown-ups, but the kids were happy as can be! I loved how everything was so close to our condo - the supermarkets (Mega & Walmart) as well as beautifully quaint, memorable restaurants and shops. Playa del Carmen is a very unique town - safe, filled with extremely friendly people, and restaurants, shops, and walkways that we will not soon forget. Thank you Lisa and family, for helping provide our family with such a wonderful Christmas!

  • we just came back from Arena Blanca and had a great time. The Condo is very conveniently located close to everything in Playa but not in the middle of everything. It can get very noisy in the night time in 5th avenue! The Beach is just a short stroll away and there are a bunch of great place sto go eat. We enjoyed specially La Cueva del Chango and Sur in 5th ave. The ceviche we had at BlueCacao beachclub was one of the best I had in my life. We went to Cozumel for an entire day and rented a Jeep. It was awesome and the island is beaytiful and charming. Snorkeling at Yal-ku lagoon was great, we saw plenty of fishes and my kids had a great time there.

    I wanted to write to let you know that Arena Blanca/Playa was absolutely wonderful! We hope to be back next year and bring the boys. The accommodations and location could not have been any better. Thank you for all of the restaurant recommendations as well. We agree that the beach at the end of the street is the best beach! Not crowded. And the water and sand are amazing. Our stay at Arena Blanca was perfect. Thanks for letting us stay in your condo. It was great!
