  We are two couples in our 60's (Minnesota and California) who came for birding in late April, but wanted the luxury of a golf course home. This is the place. First, like the realtors say, location. Second, immaculate. Third, spacious. The development is a beautiful, floweringl hillside, golf course community, but this home is a half block from the course, so you have a wilderness feeling because it is near the end of the cul-de-sac, but still quite close to everything. We saw many quail and other birds out the backyard which stretches to an arroyo and desert. It is 10 minutes from a large Safeway. 20 minutes from the world-famous Madera Canyon. 20 minutes from the Tucson airport. 30 minutes to the Tubac artist community with the Shelby's world-class restaurant. Also, within the development, I think the houses on this street might have been among the first built in the development, because you can walk (or use the bike in the garage) to go the 2 minutes around the block to the clubhouse for workout in a first-rate work-out center and three pools. Also, the excellent club-house restaurant with 2-3 specials every night, allowed us to save the time having to drive into town for dinner when we didn't want to do that. The staff at all the facilities were super friendly and the owner of the house was very attentive. Great satellite TV also with unnumerable stations. Brand new washer and dryer. Both bedrooms are spacious with excellent supportive beds (for those with back care needs), and the master suite has a huge walk-in closet. Shower stall was super clean. Kitchen was also super clean and well equipped with beautiful high-end earthenware, though we only ate breakfast and made our hiking lunches there. We have several friends who have rented elsewhere in Green Valley who tried to get us to stay elsewhere, but we were glad we paid the little bit extra to get this first-rate place in Quail Creek. I have stayed at many VRBO rentals all over the world: If want or need to be in the beautiful Arizona desert, this is the place!!!

  Very nicely furnished home with great location near the clubhouse and pools in Quail Creek, an over-55 community near Green Valley, AZ. The house was clean and included all the items needed to maintain it (garbage bags, laundry detergent, etc). The backyard overlooks a wash with lots of wildlife...we saw bobcat, coyote, bunnies, and many quail and birds. We would rent again.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

  We are so glad we chose this house. It was perfect. All of Quail Creek Resort is very pleasant but this home has one of the best locations within the community. It is on a quiet street, backs up to an open area of natural desert, yet it took us only a couple of minutes to walk over to the pools and other recreational facilities, club house and restuarant. The back patio is so enjoyable with its beautiful desert setting. Many mornings we watched a pair of coyotes trot by along the wash. At night I have never seen so many stars. The community is very quiet with little traffic. The beautiful Santa Rita Mts. are just to the east. Neighbors are friendly. We like the open floor plan of kitchen, living room, and office in the center and each bedroom/bath located off on separate wings. The furnishings are attractive but not over-bearing. There were lots of comfortable places to sit. We brought our dog, Winston, who is very clean and well-trained, uses his own bed, and we are overly fussy with him. So it worked well for us. This wouldn't be true for every dog since the carpet is white, the patio is not fenced and there are cacti, etc. We definitely hope to stay in this home again.

  This home is located on a very convenient street in Quail Creek. You can walk to the Grill Restaurant, the Clubhouse and the driving range. The house was clean and has the basic amenities but could use a few more of the basics such as coffee mugs, etc. Some of the bedding and towels could use updating. The view of the preserve is wonderful and we saw lots of wildlife. We also enjoyed the fire pit on the cooler evenings. There are lots of tourist attractions closeby , as well as a variety of golf courses.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+.

  Owner response: Kitchen ware and bedding for the master bedroom are scheduled to be updated in April 2012. The two twin beds in the 2nd bedroom were replaced in December 2011 with a new queen bed and bedding. We strive to continuously update the house so everything is fresh and updated.

  We were having a family reunion in Vail AZ. My wife and I rented for a week. Great house and great location inside Quail Creek. The home was very well furnished. It was in a very nice area of Quail Creek, with good views of the mountains and valley from the back patio.

  Recommended for: Age 55+.
