The house is just a few years old, so the amenities and furnishing are in great shape and work fine.
Banner Elk is short drive out of Boone, which is home to Appalachian State University, so there is a college spirit in the area. Whether it is some antique shopping or dining in quaint little restaurants in Banner Elk, shopping in the renown Mast General Store at the bottom of the mountain in Valle Crucis, an evening at the 'Horn in the West' play in Boone or heading in to the outlet mall in Blowing Rock, this home is close to all.

Close to Asheville and Charlotte, this property is just a couple of hours away, in fact, a leisurely drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway may be just the way to get in to the High Country Mood. There is a Parkway entrance just a couple miles south of Banner Elk in Linville.
