This is our 5th stay at this incredible property and each time it is better than the time before. The location is perfect with your own private beach and just minutes from the quaint town of San Pancho to enjoy fabulous meals, music and shopping. We spent lots of time basking by the pool, cervesa and kindle in hand. We had takeout from Cafe Del Mar (5 star) and watched the sun set on the beach. This year we enjoyed a delicious meal and polo match at the Patron Polo Club. We went fishing with Elme,-Y-Knot Charters, in Punta Mita and after catching Dorado and sail fish, then dining at Margarita's where they prepared our Dorado 10 yummy different ways. Lots of leftovers to enjoy the rest of the week. We also spent a day hiking and eating pies in Yelapa (a must do). Jeff, as always, is wonderful to work with and Pilar does an outstanding job keeping the casitas tidy and clean. December the weather is absolutely perfect, not too hot during the day and comfortable in the evening. This is Paradise and we will be back!!!! Thank you Jeff for your sharing your place again with Montanans and for your exceptional generosity.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Four of us shared Casa Tranquila, while 5 other friends stayed in the casitas below. This is just an ideal location, quiet, about 12 minutes walk to the little town of San Pancho, just above the beach. The houses are all beautiful, with comfortable lounging spaces, comfy & spacious bedrooms, and well-equipped kitchens. The gardens, too, are glorious. All the staff were lovely and helpful. We would highly recommend this spot and hope to return soon!Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

We have recently returned from our visit at Casa Tranquila and still can't get it out of our minds! Jeff has definitely created a paradise. We are in love with San Pancho and have already made reservations to come back next year. The staff is great and the dinners cooked for us were, well what can I say, truly wonderful! What a great place to vacation!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/3

We had no idea we were in for such an adventure. The villa was wonderful! We were in the villa on the beach, Casa Amorita. It was great. We had the upstairs room (w/o air, but a big fan) without windows, but ocean breezes. Saw a great thunder and lightening storm and woke up with a big orange tabby cat between us. I guess the thunder scared him. The pool surrounding the kitchen was much loved and used by our grandson. Gotta see the bathrooms!! We are definitely coming back. The little store on the way out town on the main road has some of the most beautiful pottery and best prices you'll see. We had to go to Wal-Mart and buy another couple suitcases to get everything home. We had dinner cooked for us one evening and it was excellent. Very clean and well kept and beautiful grounds. Just a note: If you see cars going up and down the beach every couple hours, stopping, digging and continuing on don't be alarmed, they dig up turtle eggs to incubate until they hatch, then have a "Send the little turtles loose" ceremony on the beach. Thank you Jeff, we had a great stay!!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/2

Hi Jeff, Just wanted to let you know that we had an incredible time at your place in Mexico. It was spectacular!! Everything was perfect and we would love to go back again next year. Our talks of returning at the same time next year were the only way we could motivate ourselves to walk out the door and catch our flights. Otherwise I think we would still be there, fighting with your next guests over squatter's rights....We loved it that much!. I just close my eyes now and think about the wonderful beach and sunsets. And watching the surf was just mesmerizing for me. The last couple of nights we spent the evenings on the beach, letting the kids play and watching the sun set. It was the best... And in the mornings we would take long walks up and down the beach and watch the day begin...That's the life... It's hard for me to believe that just a week ago we were enjoying your beautiful San Pancho home and now I am sitting in my cubicle at Wells Fargo writing marketing material for mutual funds...I want to go back! I'm so glad that Mia and I did so much research to find the perfect place. It paid off! Thanks again for everything,Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/3

Our trip was wonderful! We loved Casa Tranquilla - it was such a lovely place. The town was so charming, the food was great, and best of all was our beautiful accommodations at Casa Tranquilla. We would highly recommend any of the 3 units (Casa Tranquilla, Casa Lolita or the one directly on the beach). We already miss it! Best regards, GenovevaDid you find this review helpful? Hi Jeff; We are back in the frozen north, which has thankfully thawed out to a considerable extent. Of course, we are still basking in the afterglow of our two week stay at Casa Tranquila, which we enjoyed immensely, thanks to your obvious talents as a host and builder. We have been vacationing in Mexico, in various locations, for over 20 years and Casa Tranquila has earned a spot at the top of the list.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

Dear Jeff, Thank you so much for accommodating our family and friends. Your compound is more beautiful than anything we could have imagined. The two separate houses worked great for our two families and teenage girls and the location is the best in San Pancho with Costa Azul right next door for our little "resort fix". Your staff is wonderful, friendly, and great cooks too. We had a fabulous dinner with both families on our deck under a full moon, candle light, and swaying palm trees. WOW! We are definitely coming again in 2006. You've given me some excellent examples on hosting guests in our condo on Big Mountain. Thanks, The Riebe's from MontanaDid you find this review helpful? Looking for a vacation "away from it all?", this is the place. Beautiful beach, beautiful house. This is what Acapulco must have been like years ago. We (me with two teenagers) spent two weeks and loved every minute. The kids found a ton of things to do without fast food, MTV, and malls. The jungle is right up the road with panoramic ocean views. The town has all you'll need, good food places, markets, etc. Great pizza at Don Pedro's in sayulita. Dont miss dinner at Mark's in bucerias. After i send off this message I'm going to book my next vacation right here.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Dear Jeff, What a glorious piece of the world! Beyond paradise in a way - maybe closer. We were so busy with work and family that we decided to spend a week with close friends away from all the everday worries. It was beyond our every dream the most relaxing wonderful vacation any of us have ever had. Thank you for your beautiful Casa and for sharing it with us. It is truly a piece of paradise!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Jeff, I can't remember when I had such a relaxing and peaceful vacation. Your beach house is everything you said and more. Yeyo and Isabel are there to answer all your questions and help you find whatever you need. The house is beautifully decorated, spacious and comfortable with more than enough room for two couples. The town of San Pancho is close and friendly. The beach and view are beautiful. Every night that plunge pool was the place to be with our margheritas to watch that colorful sunset while the horses ran on the beach. I can't wait to have the time off to visit Casa Tranquila again.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Feb 2, 2004 Hi Jeff, We just wanted to thank you for making Casa Tranquila such a wonderful place to stay during our past trip to Mexico. The casa was everything you advertised, and more. We have been coming to Mexico for the past 12 years, and your beach house has to be one of the best places we have stayed. You have certainly gone over and above with your furnishings, and being on the beach was a treat. We were also very impressed with San Pancho. The cleanliness of the village, quality of the restaurants and friendliness of the people. We will certainly be returning. Thanks again, Jerry, Pam, Dave and PattiDid you find this review helpful? Hi, Jeff, First let us say that for once a rental property far exceeded our expectations; Casa Tranquila was a delight, both inside and out. We would be proud to have any of your designs in our own home. Were it not for the horizontal rainstorms (totally atypical, Isabel assured us), our stay would have been perfect. We particularly enjoyed knowing Yeyo, Isabel, and Chui. We used the heated pool more than we anticipated, not only for its comforts, but for the way it allowed us to enjoy the breathtaking views of the beach and ocean...the house offered every comfort, and its beauties cannot be conveyed by the pictures. The sense of security was amazing, too, as we became aware of the pride of the locals in their region, and the way the expats have blended in and become part of the community. (This impression was reinforced by a very nice Canadian woman, a friend of Denny's, who drove us to the airport.) Chui is a real booster, as are his baby daughter, Abeya, and his dog, Wendy. We are especially glad that we didn't rent in Sayulita. Thanks again for all your kind help. We'll certainly add our comments to your site, and we hope to be in touch again soon. Best, Leni and CharlesDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We were married on December 28th, 2003, and spent our honeymoon (including the New Years holiday) at Casa Tranquila. The house was absolutely perfect for us, we spent many hours out on the porch just enjoying the view. The beach out front was wonderful, plenty of white sand and nearly empty even over the holidays. We can hardly imagine a better location for a honeymoon or vacation - Jeff, Yeyo, and Isabel were fantastic, as were the house, beach, weather, and location! We look forward to a return to San Pancho and Casa Tranquila in the future!!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Casa Tranquila is a great house, in a perfect location (immediately north of the mellow Costa Azul adventure resort), and Jeff (the owner) is a pleasure to work with. The house is very cozy, has a great view, and is beautifully decorated and furnished. The living room gets a bit warm in the afternoon and evening, but both the bedrooms have powerful AC! Also, the caretakers, Yeyo and Isabel, are very nice and do a great job at putting together a great meal on short notice. Casa Tranquila is a wonderful place.Did you find this review helpful? Dear Jeff, We've just returned from our stay at Casa Tranquila and it was really amazing. Thank You so much for a great holiday. Your staff were so sweet to us, we felt at home from the moment we arrived.Yeyo even made us sushi with fresh local catch! I'm so impressed. The house is lovely, and the layout really works. Now I know why most of your bookings are repeats. We want to return next year too!I found it really hard to leave San Pancho, it's an amazing little town,& the people were so nice to us. My spanish isn't that great but it didn't matter. We made out fine. In fact the night before we left some new friends came by and we all did Yoga on the beach ( in the back yard ) as the sun was setting. It was pure magic!I can't thank you enough, it was everything you said it would be and I can't wait to go back. I already miss falling asleep to the sound of the sea outside my bedroom window and waking up with a dip in the ocean is as good as it gets. You've done an amazing job with Casa Tranquila; She definetly lives up to her name.Best of luck with her and thanks again for a top drawer siesta! We'll be back!(& hopefully for 2 weeks next time!) All the best, KaliDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Welcome to Casa Tranquila, We recently finished a renovation and just started our rental program. We therefore thought that this would be an appropriate time to put in a few of our own thoughts. Casa Tranquila, and San Pancho, is truly an amazing place. I came to this area last winter to invest in a condo in Sayulita. A few days later I discovered San Pancho, a few days after that we were in contract for Casa Tranquila. I just knew it was were we wanted to be. Hopefully, you'll feel the same way. We've done a lot to make this a special vacation home and plan on doing much more in the future. Our staff, Yeyo and Isabel, are extremely kind, curteous and wonderful cooks. The view is breathtaking any time of the day and the sound of the surf is intoxicating at night (so are Yeyo's margaritas). The beach is idealic and expansive without annoying vendors and watercraft. The house is beautifully furnished with Mexican folk art and antiquities from around the world. Finally, the town is a taste of old Mexico that is hard to find so close to a major resort. It's impossible to describe San Pancho and Casa Tranquila in a few paragraphs. Your best bet would be to come and experience it yourselves.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0
