Villa Sant'Andrea is a 17th Century Villa, committed by a very rich and well-known family from Lucca Town Centre. During the centuries, it has been enriched with furniture, antiques, and treasures bought by the family that is now still shown in the Fresco rooms of the Villa.
Villa Sant'Andrea is located on the famous hills of Compitese, south side in the province of Lucca, in a gorgeous private estate, surrounded by centuries-old trees and plants, including the Camellias. This is a Japanese plant exported in this area more than 2 hundreds years ago. This village is well-known all over the world for the Great Camellias Exhibition that takes place every March.
The villa is located at the top of a hill, overlooking the estate and the hills. Crossing the path in front of the house, there is a 19th century private Veranda, a large living room with french windows and a large terrace, where having a dining alfresco is a definite must.
In the large garden, there is an 8 metres long swimming pool, surrounded by trees, with a unique, 18th century, neogothic, outside living room. It has a large terrace overlooking a breathtaking landscape of rolling, unspoilt hills, pointed by churches, farmhouses and stonehouses. |
