My girlfriend and I just returned from a 4 day trip to Puerto Vallarta and had an amazing time. This condo is fantastic. The view is excellent, the decor is very stylish and the pool is an added treat. It's just a short walk down the hill to the beach and the rest of town. Both the owner and manager were very helpful and the process couldn't have been smoother. We would definitely stay here again and have already recommended it to friends.
Owner response:It is hard not to enjoy beautiful PV and the condo too!

We were so pleasantly pleased with this property. It is more beautiiful than the photos. It is furnished with tasteful Mexican decor. I would definately rent a car as the walk to the beach is uphill and downhill. The view is astounding and the balcony pool was terrific as well as the pool on the second floor. Forget about staying in a hotel in PVR. This is a much better option. I would recommend this place to anyone that wants a classy and quiet vacation.

I am finally back at work and wanted you to know we had a great time in your condo. This was our 3rd time back to PV and it was the best! We had a chilled, relaxing time and the place was awesome. Your location was perfect, just outside of the city, close to everything and far enough away to still feel nature around us, especially at night. The beach down the hill was beautiful. We frequented the restaurant Lido on the beach. The owner and staff were lovely. Also, it is very safe. I would highly recommend your place to everyone I know. If we were to come back, I would definitely stay there again. Cheke and Riccardo, the property managers, were extremely helpful as well. Thank you again for everything. I wish more people would do business like you. You made renting your place very simple and easy with no security deposit and such.

We were fortunate enough to rent the Penthouse unit for our stay in Feb. 2011, and we are so happy that we booked it! The property was fantastic, the views unbelievable, and the location quiet yet convenient. We spent more time in the unit than I ever have on a vacation, enjoying the rooftop sunning deck, palapa, and dipping pool. The location up the hillside got us away from all of the hubbub of downtown. the walk down to the beach was less than 10 minutes, and while we took a cab back up most of the time (less than $5), even the walk up was not too bad. The property was well appointed, and while very modern it was decorated in a style that made you feel liek you were in Mexico, and not just another condo anywhere in the world. I will definately be in touch fo rmy next vacation in PV!

What a gorgeous and well maintained property this is! We spent a week here in the penthouse and loved every minute and amenity. The warm pool overlooking the ocean was breathtaking and the short cobblestoned street stroll to the beach and town made the location unbeatable. We'll definitely be back to stay here next year. Every bedroom and bathroom was exquisite offering ocean views, marble and luxury. This is THE place to stay in Puerto Vallarta!! Thank you Ron for an fantasic vacation!!!
Owner response:Gracias Linda! I knew you and your friend would enjoy the penthouse and revisiting Puerto Vallarta. We would love to have you create more wonderful vacation memories next year! Ron Please note this is our premier penthouse property not to be confused with our second 3/3 unit with dipping pool shwon on the VRBO site. Both are in the same area of town.

Very pleased with the condo, the pictures don't describe the beauty of the place without actually going there for yourself. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who travels to Puerto Vallarta. Although maybe not the best place for people with small children due to the altitude of the condo. Other than that, amazing place and great location, we will be going back for sure!!!

HI Ron, My mother and I had an excellent vacation in Puerto Vallarta from 9/04/10-9/11/10. It was extra special because we stayed at your incredible Montevista penthouse. The property was extremely well maintained and well appointed from the Bose surround sound system to the sparkling pools, the super comfortable beds to every necessary kitchen appliance, utensil and dish. The staff that cares for the home was courteous, friendly and professional. Your property manager, Cheke, greeted us upon arrival at the condo, gave us the keys, showed us how everything worked and was never more than a ring or two away via the cell phone provided for our use. The location was quiet with incredible views of the bay and surrounding jungle yet a short 15 minute walk or 5 minute taxi ride to downtown or Los Muertos beach. We found the local people to be very friendly and the variety and quality of the restaurants to be excellent. I would highly recommend your penthouse rental home to all of my family and friends who might wish to vacation in Puerto Vallarta. Thank you, Dan

We have just returned from another wonderful vacation in Puerto Vallarta. We all agreed that this was one of our best maily due to the condo that we stayed at. It was comfortable, very nicly decorated with a mix of ethic Mexican and modern necessities! Our memories all seem to flow back to the few nights we stayed at the condo, had the cook come in while we were relaxing in the heated infinity dipping pool on the terrace..the view is AMAZING. We have found our little corner of paradise and have booked our vacation at this condo for next year already!!

Five of us spent time in this wonderful condominium this past week and loved it. It's up in the hills and as the pictures show, the views are stunning. I had the master bedroom so I woke up every morning to these views. 2 of us love to cook and we found the full kitchen very functional...however, you will need to ask Cheke (prop mgr) to advise you on how to turn the oven on...we couldn't figure it out. Fortunately I we did not go there to bake so the oven was not really necessary. You will also need to ask Cheke on how to use the terrace grill. Lighting it can be a surprising experience. The condo is very comfortable and easily accomodated 5 of us without feeling cramp. Though the is construction going on right now, the windows and sliding doors are very well insulated that you did not hear much of the contruction going on. Mr. Craddock, the owner is very responsive to your emails while there too. Would I stay at Villas de la Colina again? Yes...definitely.

We are two couples in our fifties who spent 12 days in this fantastic Puerto Vallarta condo. This unit met all of our expectations, and then some! No disappointments or surprises, everything about the property and location are exactly as described and pictured. We would highly recommend this condo to anyone looking for a tranquil setting just up the hillside from the action of the romantic zone & Malecon. Excellent communication- from initial contact with owner, Ron, to questions and concerns that he addressed immediately for us while we were there. Perfect location- perched high on the hillside with amazing views. Very quiet area surrounded by well maintained condos and villas. Cleanliness- spotless! Great floor plan- numerous pocket sliding glass doors provided "open air" living spaces in master BR, dining and living areas. 3 nice sized bedrooms all with ensuite baths. Amenities galore- filtered water system, heated infinity pool, fully equipped kitchen, plenty of towels, etc Luxurious bedding - master BR had the most comfortable mattress- looking to purchase same one for home!!! Linens also very soft - surely a high thread count. Checke the manager, Luis the pool guy and Annette the maid were all very friendly and conscientious of their duties. Best beachfront restaurant - "La Palapa". We went there 3 times and sat in their chairs/lounges right at the water's edge for the enitre day while enjoying tasty lunches and beverages. Ask for Francisco (aka Poncho) to be your waiter. He speaks fluent English and will give you teriffic service. Tell him Ede from NJ sent you! Best fishing excursion- This was our third visit to PV and both this trip and in the past we chartered the "Vanessa". Captain Francisco is fluent in English and has reasonable rates. While fishing we came across a pod of humpback whales that we followed- awesome! We rented a car for the entire stay so that we could easily come and go, as well as take day trips to explore the surrounding areas. Note: Mexican law requires purchase of mandatory liability insurance which is not available for purchase in US.(extra $10. per day). Parking on street in front of condo. We were here in Feb. and the unit was shaded all day, so we were unable to sunbathe at condo. My husband was glad there was no sun shining in, as he thought it would heat the apartment . PS Air conditioning worked well, although not needed." We look forward to returning in the future to this condo

My husband and I visit Puerto Vallarta fairly often. However the stay that we had here was truly the best so far. It is a place that anyone of any age can be enjoyed. The furnishings are warm and comfortable. The view is spectacular and we just enjoyed ourselves so much after a day at the beach to sit and have a margarita in the dipping pool while we watched the sunset over the bay. There is a manager to call if needed and he is very quick to respond and the housekeeper is lovely and very accomodating. The restaurants are a short walk to town as is the malecon or the beach. Everything is so convenient you do not need a car. Taxis are plentiful and very inexpensive. This is truly a place that we hope to come back to the next time we visit Puerto Vallarta which hopefully will be this winter.

My wife and I stayed here last December 2009 and it was one of the most memorable vacations we have had. The furnishings are exquisite and so comfortable. The view is spectacular and the dipping pool was a lot of fun and very relaxing after a day at the beach. The kitchen was extremely well equipped. We would definitely want to visit here again.

This condo is wonderful! The views are spectacular, and the amenities are great. Very nice decor and the floorplan is designed for privacy. the rooftop deck is great to catch a breeze and look at the stars, or have a conversaton under the thatched roof. We did not rent a car - the taxis are there moments after you call, and it's cheap to get anywhere you'd like to go. We did the "Art Walk" and were very pleased to meet and greet local artists.

Wow! What a view! We stayed at this lovely property for 8 nights in November 2008. The pictures on this website are good - but seeing it in person is so much better! We spent many hours sitting on the balcony or in the dip pool just listening to music (they have a nice sound system - bring CDs) and gazing out at the beauty of Banderas Bay. There is a nightly fireworks show which is a real treat. The kitchen is great - we love to cook so it was nice to be able to prepare some of our meals. There is a gas grill on the balcony as well. This condo is decorated with Mexican Art and Crafts - it is all very pleasing to the eye and quite comfortable. Arriving from the airport - you will think "where the hell are we going???" as you wind up the really steep, cobblestone road. It is well worth the drive up as the views are spectacular! Although you can walk the road back down to the main road and eventually end up at Playa Los Muertos, we chose to take a taxi. Taxi service is great - taxis arrived within 5 minutes of our calling. Trip down to Playa Los Muertos is a mere 4 minutes and 40-50 pesos. The property management staff was very accommodating and helpful. We enjoyed a great week here and highly recommend it. We would definitely return. Patti

As experienced overseas travellers (not adventurers), we enjoy luxury and comfort, which this condo provided even beyond our expectations. The spaces, inclusions and furnishings are outstanding, and the view spectacular. Following the initial email contact, the owner was more than helpful with information and advice and the helpers on site courteous, unobtrusive and efficient. Being seniors we chose to hire a car as the condo is on the hillside, and the cobblestone road was a little intimidating initially, but we soon became used to it. Although public transport is cheap and taxis readily available, we enjoy exploring an area in our own time and speed, and we found the coastline and various beaches stunning., as well as enjoying the condo's private splash pool on the balcony. (We would be a little concerned to have small children in the condo as part of its charm depends on its open aspects., and although a mishap is unlikely one would have to be watchful with little people.) There are heaps of great restaurants ( and we are told, bars though these we didnt frequent) in the area, catering for all tastes and price ranges. We particularly enjoyed "Le Cliff", - a few kms south of PV which would have to have one of the most remarkable locations you could ever imagine. If ever we should have the opportunity of returning to PV we would definitely wish to stay here again.
