Venice is divided into the island and the Mainland. Our house is located in one of the most desirable neighborhoods on the island. It is only 0.8 miles to Venice Beach (Picture 12). Venice Beach has free parking, restrooms, showers, and a small restaurant with covered pavilion and patio style seating. The house is 1 ½ blocks to the historic downtown (Venice Ave). Venice Ave. is the main street on the island, it is only 1 mile long, it is lined with tall palm trees, outdoor cafes, specialty shops, boutiques and a community live theater. Our house is minutes to the Venetian Waterway Park (Picture 14), Jetty (Picture 13), pier fishing and gulf side dining (Picture 15)
EXTERIOR GROUNDS; This 2000 ft2 single story house is on a 1/3 acre lot, has a circular driveway, fruit trees including grapefruit and banana, landscaping is professionally maintained (Picture 1).
ENCLOSED POOL AND LANAI; Lanai includes pool furniture, several gardens, a Weber gas BBQ grill and a waterfall (Pictures 2&3). Pool is professionally maintained.
BEDROOMS: Master Bedroom opens to the pool courtyard through sliding glass doors with plantation blinds, has a queen bed, master bathroom, Built-in TV, reading chair and ottoman and solid wood furniture (Picture 4); Second master bedroom suit is privately located on the North side of the house, has a queen size bed, a desk, high speed wireless internet service, TV, and a full bathroom outside (Picture 5); Third bedroom has a twin bed, solid wood furniture, and hard wood floors (Picture 6).
KITCHEN: Was recently remodeled, has maple cabinets, new appliances including microwave, glass top range, disposal and dishwasher, ceramic tile floor, a pass-through window to the pool deck, cookware, glassware and acrylic dishware for use around the pool (Picture 7).
DINNING ROOM: Is furnished with solid wood mission style furniture, has ceramic tile floor and a sliding glass door to the pool deck (Picture 8).
OTHER ROOMS: Family room with ceramic tile flooring and a 32” flat screen TV with built-in DVD (Picture 9); Living room with hard wood floors (Picture 10); and laundry room; Stdio has a queen sofa bed and hard wood floors (Picture 11).
GYM MEMBERSHIP: Membership to the brand new YMCA with heated and cooled pool, Jacuzzi, Steam Room, Sauna, and exercise equipment is available at a nominal fee of $50/month per person or $100/month per family. The owners will absorb the balance of the membership fee.
OTHER AMENITIES: Comcast high speed wireless internet service, Comcast premium digital cable service, Phone Service with unlimited local calls, Iron and ironing board, beach chairs, beach towels, linens, central air conditioning, Books and board games.

BEACHES: Venice beaches are good for shell collecting and are among the best in North America for finding fossilized shark's teeth that are millions of years old and can easily be found. The beaches range from more crowded Venice Municipal Beach to the remote, quiet, and natural Caspersen Beach. If you like quiet, natural beaches without homes and buildings on the shore, consider a visit to Caspersen Beach. You can walk south for miles and see few people, especially on weekdays. Collect shells, sift through the beach sand, look for sharks teeth, relax, or have a quiet day of fishing on nearby Venice 750-foot long fishing pier. Caspersen beach has free parking, showers and restrooms. The closest beach to the house is the Venice beach (Picture 12). Venice beach is only 0.8 miles away from the house and has free parking, restrooms, showers, a covered pavilion with a small restaurant and patio style seating. For dog lovers, The Brohard Paw Park offers dog drinking fountains, showers on decks for dogs only, fire hydrants and leash posts.
GOLF COURSES AND TENNIS COURTS: There are more than a dozen golf courses and eight municipal tennis courts lighted for night play.
BIKING: You can bring your own bike or rent. There are bike paths around the entire island where you can bike to the beach, parks or public tennis courts.
WALKING: Venetian Waterway Park (Picture 14), within walking distance from the house, offers an almost 10 mile of sidewalk trails along the Intra-Coastal Waterways for your enjoyment.
PARKS: Preserved natural environments include over a dozen public parks with exotic palms, flowering trees, and Gulf views. Enjoy bird watching at Oscar Scherer State Park or go canoeing down Myakka River.
ARTS: Local arts include a nationally award-winning community theater, art center, symphony orchestra and two libraries.
RESTAURANTS: Historic Venice downtown, known for its Northern Italian Renaissance architectural style, is within a short walk with shopping and dining places. There are several nearby restaurants with oceanfront or waterfront view. These include Sharkey's on the Pier and Crows Nest Marina Restaurant and Tavern.
AUCTIONS: Venice Auction Company is located on 601 Spruce Street and it is within a few miles from the house. They usually have weekly auctions on Thursdays at 5:15 pm.
METROPOLITAN AREAS: Sarasota is about 25 miles north with many Museums including Ringling Estate Museum and a Marine Aquarium. In Sarasota, you will also find the famous St. Armands Circle, where you will find a large selection of shops, dining and entertainment. Fort Myers is 1 hour south; Tampa and Busch Gardens is 1.5 hours north; Orlando/Disney is 2.5 hours northeast
