The Red Door Tahoe, makes mountain lake memories with two comfortable new cottages situated in majestic pines above Lake Tahoe California's North Shore. Imagine finding fresh Tahoe powder outside your cabin windows each morning. Then skiing that fresh powder every day! We are close (15 minutes) to the Sierra Nevada's best major ski resorts including Squaw Valley USA, Alpine Meadows, Homewood, Northstar at Tahoe, Mount Rose and Diamond Peak. The Red Door Tahoe pleases our guests with simple comfortable queen suites in our newly finished two bedroom, two bath, Master Cottage. We also include the the adjacent lovingly renovated one bedroom 1930's Tahoe Ski Cabin queen suite with spa style steam bath for one rental fee. In addition, you may now soak your cares away apre ski in our newly added deluxe Marquis outdoor hot tub for six. High Speed Wi Fi is now available on site!

The new two bedroom Master Cottage Annex offers two travertine spa style bathrooms:one with glass wall steam shower and the other a deep, jetted, Jacuzzi tub. The gourmet kitchen is completely outfitted for any meal served across the black granite bar. A free-standing gas fireplace compliments the red checked wool trapper blankets on the beds, creating Old Tahoe styling with all new amenities. The high ceilings and woodwork are finished white washed knotty pine. The floors are an inviting warm Red Oak. An intimate deck for socializing over wine at sunset overlooks Dollar Creek and views of the Firestone Conservancy property.
We renovated the original 1930's Old Tahoe Ski Cabin with the latest conveniences, but carefully maintained its Old Tahoe charm. Located just ten steps from the Master Cottage Annex via a stone path, its a cozy & romantic private queen suite. It has a travertine spa style bathroom with a luxurious steam shower for two and an original Sierra Stone hearth with gas fireplace insert.
Perfect for romance, it sleeps two in the upstairs master bedroom on a queen bed. It also has a twin size sleeper sofa in the lower living room. An additional twin size bed is located in the cozy reading nook upstairs under the eave for overflow accommodation if needed.
A full wet bar, refrigerator/freezer with ice maker, coffee maker, 27" LCD TV/DVD, and fully stocked game table allow for maximum entertainment on stormy days. You also may wish to barbecue on the deck overlooking Dollar Creek or you might wish to sit in front of the large gas fireplace, enjoying the warmth of the original Sierra Stone hearth while surfing the net on our newly installed high speed Wi-Fi. The distressed fir floors and white washed knotty pine of this renovated 1930's Lake Tahoe mountain cabin will ensure your transition to "Old Tahoe Times".
