Three full baths are located on the main level near the 4 bedrooms and a 1/2 bath is located in the loft. The bedrooms offer ceiling fans. Two offer queen beds, the third offers a double bed and the fourth offers two sets of bunks. The opened loft offers two double beds and two twin beds. The spacious great room area with beautiful views of the water from all areas includes a stone fireplace, two sofas and one recliner. Ceiling fans have been recently added to this area for added comfort. This area opens into the kitchen and dining area. The kitchen offers a large food preparation island and bar stools perfect for enjoying a snack. A dining area with a farm table comfortably seats eight - an additional table for four nearby providing extra space for dining or playing board games. The combined dining areas can easily seat 16 and are great for holidays. The beautiful porch offers seating for outdoor dining or enjoying that early morning cup of coffee on the comfortable outdoor wicker furniture or at the teak dining table. All floors and walls throughout the house are pine.
Outdoors, you have 265 feet of private waterfront that wraps around into a cove, a water-side patio, and private boat ramp. The water-side patio is great for fall evenings. The swimming area is located between the water-side patio and the pier/floating dock area. For parent's comfort, swimming children can be easily monitored from the front porch, water-side patio, and pier area. The lawn is gently sloping and is a perfect place for children (and adults) to run and play. Younger children may enjoy the shallow water and the 'beach area' located in the cove
During the fall and winter months, King's Cove is perfect for football weekends and family holidays. The beautiful stone fireplace makes a great setting for warming up after a day at the game or enjoying hot chocolate with family and friends for a holiday.

We rented Kings Cove for a long weekend Nov 2-5 and could not have been more delighted with this property AND the owners! Audra was so helpful with all of the details leading up to our stay and when I sent an email after we first arrived that I might have trouble resetting the alarm upon departure, her husband called to walk me through everything. Of course, the trouble shooting only took 2 minutes (frankly it was user error) but we talked for over 15 minutes. You felt like you were staying in a friends house. The cottage is deceptively large from the outside and perfect for simply relaxing with views of water from three sides. There are plenty of indoor and outdoor spces to hang out in and the kitchen was perfect for preparing meals while still being a part of the fun. We hope to be back soon. Thank you for an incredibly relaxing weekend.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

This is the perfect get-a-way… beautiful lake views just a short drive from Birmingham. Our family gathered for a wonderful weekend after celebrating the big Auburn victory at Toomer’s corner. It was a nice drive from Auburn (set your GPS!) down back country roads. We woke to a misty morning fog on the lake. The ‘cabin’ is very large and could sleep 16 easily, with bunk beds and a crazy climb to the loft. The rooms were all so unique and decorated with a collection of shabby chic and B&B comfort. The open kitchen is well equipped for any meal, with a gas range and updated appliances. We grilled steaks outside, as we enjoyed the fabulous sunset. We really appreciated the well stocked woodshed and kept a fire roaring all weekend. We played dominos at the game table while the guys kept up with the football scores on the cable TV. It was a great cozy family weekend… building memories for a lifetime Audra was so very helpful as we planned our surprise weekend. We were unable to arrange for the boat rental as it was Thanksgiving weekend and the marina was closed. I would recommend stocking up on groceries before leaving town, since there is not a major grocery store anywhere around. We did stop in at Nail's market, where they have an assortment of frozen casseroles and all the essentials for a first night's dinner or morning breakfast. We look forward to taking another holiday in the summer months to enjoy the beautiful lake. Thank you for sharing your vacation home with us!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

This was the perfect place for our family to gather after a bustling Thanksgiving weekend in Auburn. The pictures on line do not reflect just how great this place is...it is "quirky country", a warm collection of personal antiques, big, comfortable furnishings, and a huge open floor plan that just sets the scene for relaxation and family fun. We enjoyed big breakfasts, crackling fires, football on the TV, the chiminea on the patio watching the sunset on the lake - too many stars to count - and a few spirited rounds of dominoes. We traveled from London England, Boston and Birmingham and the owner could not have been more helpful with directions and information about the surrounding area. I would recommend King's Cove as a year-round vacation retreat....thanks for sharing it with us!Recommended for: Girls getaway, age 55+.

10 members of our family stayed at Kings Cove during Christmas 2009. We were extremely pleased with most every aspect of the house: the beds were comfortable, the bathrooms more than adequate, and the kitchen and living area were spacious and family-friendly. The entire house was very clean, well-stocked with linens and kitchenware, and the view of the lake from the living area was wonderful!! The owners are very nice and were very responsive to questions we had concerning the property prior to our visit. The only downside of our visit was that we spent most of our daylight hours at our relatives' house nearby and did not get a chance to enjoy a fire in the lovely stone fireplace. We will definitely try to book this house again in the future and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.
