This cabin will remind you of a simple way of life from times past! "It is comfortable and peaceful here", said a recent renter. The front porch across the full length of the house makes a great place to sip coffee, relax, and listen to nature. It's unique location allows for retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life! You will love the small but well stocked pond that is within 30 feet of the front porch and a second pond only 100 yards away! A 4lb bass was caught two weeks ago (October 2010). The path behind the cabin leads to a small creek where deer and turkey are often seen; this is also a great place for a nice picnic or even horse back riding! For those who enjoy fosil finding and arrow head collecting you will enjoy exploring around the creek banks.
Rent our Cozy Cabin and you will truly be refreshed and blessed!

This was a great place. The pictures don't do the place justice. It was relaxing and quiet. No neighbors in view at all. Its like your own little oasis. The place was immaculate both inside and out. The owners were great and very helpful and accomodating. Hope to visit again.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

WOW! This place was Awesome! It was everything I could have dreamed of,.looking towards Alabama for a place to take my mom, a different place we neither had been, I checked out alot of places, . My mom wanted a country cabin and a place where she could just sit out on the porch & relax, and she could fish, well thats what she got, we both had the best time. , and it was so nice to have everything you want right there. I mean just go out the front door take a few steps to the pond and put your pole in the water. The pond was wonderful to fish in, we caught several nice fish and eat them for dinner one night. Its was peaceful sitting out at the pond, . My mom nor I wanted to leave. We enjoyed watching movies that were there, we played Wii games, boxing, golf, bowling, etc. My mom just loved being able to sit around and just relax.. You sit on the sofa and you can watch the pond, and see the water turn and the fish jump. My mom has already said she wants to come back to the cabin in the future, I agree. Shopping and eating out was just a short distance also. Mr. Earl & Mrs Joyce was so kind and they seem like long time friends instead of new people we just met. Thank you for showing us a great game. Quiet & secluded, but close to everything, the accomodations are wonderfull, there is a grill on the back porch, you have all the dishes, pots & pans you will ever need, washer & dryer, nice big yard, it has everything you need. We stayed a whole week, wish it could have been longer. JUST WOW! I can't say enought about this place. THANK YOU SO MUCH MR. EARL AND MRS JOYCE, FOR SHARING YOUR WONDERFUL COUNTRY CABIN WITH US. WE COULD NOT HAVE ASKED FOR ANYTHING BETTER! WE THANK YOU! Brenda & PansyRecommended for: Girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

My husband and I have just returned from our 4th time to stay at the cabin. We love it there. It's the perfect place to go when we want to get away and relax. The cabin is always clean and has an appealing country charm. It's secluded and quiet, but is still within a short driving distance of shopping. We always enjoy going to the flea market every time we are there. We love to pass the time fishing in the pond and have caught several large ones. The owners are the best!!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+.

We were amazed at the accomodations! The pics on the VRBO site do not do this little place justice! My husband and I loved fishing in the pond and caught bass, brim, and catfish! A gas grill would be nice to have for the back yard.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 4/4

About the owner: My parents built this little cabin on the land my Dad grew up on! My Dad grew up dirt poor, but managed to put my sister and I through college without borrowing a dime! The cabin is built much the same way, no loans, no extras, just the basics with lots of hard work and dedication! The planks on the outside are from two large pine trees we cut off the land, and the pond is feed by a well that has not gone dry in over 70 years! This is just our little bit of heaven we hope others enjoy!
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
This property is centrally located if you want to enjoy areas from Chattanoga Tennessee to Talladega Alabama! One of the best things for summer and fall is Little River Canyon! It's the largest gorge east of the Mississippi!
