While still being very close (less than one mile) to lifts, restaurants, and shops Flying Dutchman is located in a quiet, private neighborhood within the Keystone ski area with extremely large yards and views of the mountains from every place. The property has a clubhouse that includes a hot tub, sauna, and showers/lockers/changing rooms. The clubhouse also has a large pool with very large deck area that is open year round. The yards of the complex also has charcoal grills to use, sand volleyball courts and other fun amenities. Another big plus of this complex is that wireless high-speed internet is provided throughout the complex - inside and outside!
The condominium itself is a large (600 square-foot) studio that comfortably sleeps four and has enough storage/closet space to keep everyone's gear and clothes stored and out of the way. Probably the most unique part of this condominium from other studios is that it has a FULL kitchen and not a kitchenette. The kitchen has a full fridge, range, oven, microwave, and even a dishwasher. The kitchen comes fully equipped with all the pots, pans, and dishware you would need to make some great full meals after a long day on the slopes!! The condominium also includes a ski/snowboard locker (my wife makes sure I include snowboards), gas fireplace and two zone heating. There is a nice patio that provides views of the mountains and sits next to one of the complexes larger open yards.
Ski lifts are about a mile away and there is shuttle that runs every 20 minutes from the complex to and from the lifts. This shuttle also runs in the evenings so you can easily get back to the restaurants, shops, bars later in the evening if you choose that rather then a home-cooked dinner in your kitchen.
