With the newly finished Post and Beam home, summer of 2006, you live in luxury. The home is completely unattached from the mainland, with satellite TV, Reverse Osmosis for fresh water and a generator and solar for power you are living on your own. The home is furnished with antiques to create a open cottage feeling.
With a wrap-around covered porch and ocean views for 360 degrees, you are placed in a location where you feel as if you are the only one for hundreds of miles. .
Of course, that is, if you actually want to leave and head into the mainland. With the crew available to cater to your requests and provision the home with foods and drinks that you like what could possibly get in the way of total relaxation.

For me vacation should have a "magical" quaility, so that when you return home it almost seems sureal recashing the trip. This will certainly fit that catagory. To see the family playing by the house, kayaking, downing lobsters etc. I offer our thanks for making this happen

Thank you so much for the opportunity to stay in this beautiful place of yours. In our years coming to maine i've have fantasized about what it must be like to live on a private island, but this really has exceeded our expectations. The island itself is spectacular, the ouse is gorgeous and you are such generous hosts. So much work goes into hosting here, but you make it seem effortless. We will remember this vacation always!

Than you for the best family vacation I've ever had! It was so nice to stay on Spectacle with amenities of a 5 star hotel, and enough water to keep me busy for the whole week. Between the Kayacking and the trips on the boat I was never bored.

Words just can not describe how beautiful & tranquil Spectacle Island is, we have had the most amazing time, so relaxing and just plain wonderful. Jaime and AJ you provided everything and more, every small touch was there! Thank you so much! We are already planning for next year, this has been the best family vacation and we definitely want a repeat! Thank you both for everthing and for letting us enjoy you home! Looking forward to 2008!

Spectacle Island is absolutely spectacular! I couldn't think of a better place to celebrate my sister and brother in law's 25th wedding anniversary. We will all be returning. There has only been one other place close to my heart to visit, and I now have two! An island is an island with its own natural beauty and tranquility. However, sprinkle the island with love from family and friends you create an island with a heart beat. Many thanks to AJ and Jaime for their great hospitality and making our trip here the most memorable. I will forever have this place etched in my mind to be shared with so many back home. Ben and i have shared so many first's with you both loved the "lobstah bake" this couldn't have been better for our 1st experience. Yummy! Spectacle Island is exactly what I wanted for our celebration, Picture perfact. We will be back! Thank you both very much!
