Definitely will return to Siesta Key

The property did not disappoint. We were one of the few beachfront condos that was one-story, so there was nobody above or below us to contend with. The condo is perfectly situated on the quiet end of the beach away from the more developed side of the island. We spent almost every night sipping wine on the patio with our own private beachfront view. My husband and I went with another couple and we were glad to have the two separate king-sized bedrooms. It was a 5-minute drive to pick up groceries at Publix in Sarasota (we saved lots of $$ that way), and a two or three-block walk to the cute shops, bars and restaurants in Siesta Key Village. Definitely recommend Siesta Key and this condo in particular! Also try The Cottage restaurant and Siesta Key Oyster Bar -- great local nightlife! There was no need to leave the island really. The only suggestion I have is to get a larger flat-screen TV, the one they have is kind of small. But we spent very little time watching television.

We (my husband, two teenagers, and I) stayed in the villa last year and had the most relaxing, lovely time that we've had on Siesta Key. We've stayed in other locations and nothing compares to how close this was to the water, how quiet it was, and how comfortable the accommodations were. The unit is exactly as described and you can't ask for more. Remember anything you can't live without and you'll love being so close to the Village and the beach. Sunsets are so lovely!

The location of this condo couldn't be better. It is right on the beach and a short walk to town. Also, if you rent a sea kayak, you can go out to the sand bar at low tide and find many many perfect sand dollars. I have never seen anything like it. And the weather was totally perfect. Clear sunny warm days every day for an entire week! The kids loved it and the adults got to relax. What more could you ask for?

Wonderful time on Siesta Key!

We were down for a week long stay with family in Mid-March 2011. Always a little nervous booking someplace new, never know what to expect. In the past, we had stayed at properties north of here, at Treasure Island, and had been very pleased. Always concerned that someplace new might not "measure up". Well, this property certainly did!! First off, in real estate they always say it is about Location, Location, Location! And, this property has a really wonderful location, towards the north end of Siesta Key Beach, right on the beach. The beach is wonderful, with fantastic sand (ask my kids, they are sand-castle experts), and the beach stretches to the south for miles. Siesta Key Village, with shopping, restaurants, and bars, is about 3 blocks away, an easy walk over mostly quiet back streets. The street the property sits on is very quiet, yet provides easy access to the main streets on Siesta Key. In short, the location is about as close to ideal as you could expect to find. Oh , and parking is easy and roomy, as well. The property itself is clean and nicely furnished. The beds and bedding are clean and comfortable. The furniture is quite nice and very functional. The deck furniture was nicer than most, and there was seating on the deck for all 8 of us if we needed it, with chairs, a table, and several loungers. Floors were nice quality tile, as were the bathroom walls. All appliances were much nicer than what is typically found in rentals. Another reviewer commented on the washer and dryer not working right. We washed several loads with no problems. They are made by Bosch, so the controls are a little different than your typical American designed washer/dryer, perhaps that was the problem. I am sure if you called the property owner, he would be happy to help with the instructions, if necessary. On that note, we had a couple of communications with the owner over a couple of small things, and everything was handled quickly and courteously. Any cons? Well... we had my teenage daughter and 2 teenage nieces traveling with us, and it would be nice to have more mirrors. Teenage girls like to preen, and there were only mirrors in the bathrooms and the master bedroom. It would be nice to have mirrors in all bedrooms, not so much for me and the boys, but for the girls. Not a big deal, but something that would be easy to fix. Would I recommend this property? Yes! As a matter of fact, if we come down next spring, I hope to rent it again!

The name on the review is not what was on the reservation. If someone needs towels or anything they ask. These people never asked. There is also extra bedding in the hallway has they asked.

We booked this condo online so we could bring our family together for a reunion. The view was spectacular so that was worth the trip. However, we were disappointed that the condo slept 8 but did not have sufficient bedding or towels. My daughter and her husband slept on the pull out couch which had no sheets and one pillowcase. Towels were a huge problem and the washer/dryer did not work well at all. We had to use the laundry mat across the street. Also there were wine glasses but no corkscrew. Just little things but enough to not want to stay there again especially since there are so many other rentals in this area. The view and patio were very nice.

Owner response:The washer and dryer are top of the line Bosch. Both have alot of options. The people never once asked or called about anything. During there 2 night stay. Had they did they would had known about the extra linens in the clothest. As for the corkscrew, Most wine drinkers bring a corkscrew. There is a corkscrew there most of the time. Out of thousands of customers if this is the worst review that we have had. When they booked they booked for 2 people. When I stay anywhere if I need something I ask. If you need anything within any amount of reason we will take care of you ! Even if its just a corkscrew !.
