Excellent overall experience. This is an older home, but with thoughtful renovations that made for an excellent experience. The back yard is superbly landscaped, and sitting on the back dock soaking up the rays is worth the price of admission alone. The heated pool was wonderful for us die hard swimmers from the northcountry, and sitting on the patio was bliss. The sunsets at the beach (an easy drive on a quiet road) were sensational. The beach was a bit rocky at the waters edge, but lots and lots of sand with restrooms and cozy pavillions. The neighbors are a bit close, but we rarely saw them and found it reasonably quiet and peaceful (except for New Years Eve!). We had some minor problems with the house, but they were handled expediently. If we go back to the area, we'd stay there again.

Jimmy was super easy to work with and did everything he said he would. The house is very well maintained and exceptionally well stocked for your vacation. My wife and I stayed here for several nights to visit some friends. The only problem is that we didn't want to leave the house. The pool is great and has a super cool Tiki bar to put you in the vacation mood. The house is very close to Publix, restaurants, liquor store, and any other shopping you need. We stay in vacation rentals several times a year and this house by far is one of the best cared for. Jimmy takes a lot of pride in this property and it shows. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this property.

We had a wonderful week long stay at the property. The house was beautiful and spotless. Everything you would need was available, down to sand buckets for the beach. The pool was awesome! We had a hard time getting the kids to go to the beach. The docks on the canal were also a big hit. A dolphin caught a fish and ate it right next to the dock!! It was amazing ! The house is in a nice quiet neighborhood, but just a short drive will get you to all the surrounding attractions. The security deposit was refunded within a week of our departure. We would definetly stay again.

Our goal was to find a quiet place to stay that was away from all of the noise of typical Spring Break locations. We wanted to spend a lot of time at the house, eating out only once per day. This house met all expectations. The pool was fantastic. Our four boys (ages 12-14) spent many hours (day and night) in the pool. The pool enclosure was terrific for nighttime (no bugs!). The boys loved having lunch at the tiki bar and fishing off the dock. We all enjoyed the evening atmosphere by the pool with the lights by the pool/tiki bar. Everything you want is in this home. It is spacious, very clean, and has everything you need in the kitchen to take care of any meal you wish to prepare. Close to shopping (grocery, etc.). While on this trip, our favorite excursion was to Tarpon Springs, which is a charming community within about 15 minutes of the house. You can find any type of natural sponge or shell that you are looking for here. Park and walk--there are many shops to explore. I would definitely recommend this rental home. Last but certainly not least, the customer service was terrific. Jimmy was always quick to respond with any questions, and we received the deposit within a week or so after vacating (which was greatly appreciated). Thanks for a great stay!

Met all expectations. The home is well maintained, clean and in a nice neighborhood. Restaurants, retail and grocery very nearby. We visited between Christmas and New Years 2010. Although the weather was COLD first part of the week, we had high 70s by end of week. Pool was nice and we enjoyed coffee on the dock every morning. On cold nights, we used the waterside firepit and enjoyed the stars. Easy trips to Tampa and Orlando. Visited Mickey Mouse mid-week and attended the Capital One Bowl on New Years Day. ROLL TIDE! Jim was a pleasure and reservations were easy and efficient. Highly recommend this property and if we are in the area again, we will certainly rent this property.

Great property. The house is clean and comfortable. You have your own private beach/sunsets within walking distance and are also very close to grocery and other needs. The enclosed pool is great and the dock is nice for sitting and reading. It was a wonderful find for us!

We had such a lovely and relaxing time at the villa. Inside the villa is spacious and very nicely decorated to complement its proximity to the ocean, straight away it felt a lovely place to be. We appreciated the tvs in each bedroom as when the kids had enough of the sun, they could retreat to their rooms to relax. We did spend most of our time outdoors, it was great having a covered pool and being able to swim without bugs! The pool is an excellent size and it was lovely having a covered eating area and also covered where the Tiki Bar was. Even during the thunderstorms we were able to sit outside. On our last day at the villa there was even a dolphin swimming by outside! Whilst we were there we took a trip to St Petersburg and also to St Pete's beach where we found lovely little restaurants. We also went to Dunedin and to Honeymoon Island, we never got to Caledesi beach unfortunately, hopefully we will do that next time. If you want a holiday away from loads of tourists, then this is the place for you. Everything we could have wanted from a villa is in Jimmy's place. It is light, airy, clean and a very special place to be.

“It was a perfect vacation! The house looked exactly like the pictures on the internet if not better, and we were perfectly at home in our Florida “Beach House.” We mostly lived on the lanai that extends to the private, screened in pool. The weather was perfect in July/August, and there was always a breeze off the canal. A few neighbors were around, but we felt very private and secluded. We sat on the Adirondack chairs in the evening sipping wine and watching the sunsets. We did not want to leave the house, its beautiful décor, lovely landscaping, and refreshing pool. The beds were very comfortable, and the owner provided for most of our needs, even needle and thread. All arrangements were easily handled electronically, and within the first week home, our deposit was returned to our credit card. We dream of returning to our home away from home soon. Thank you for a relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable two weeks in New Port Richey.”

We come to New Port Richey to visit my mother-in-law and this house is the perfect place to stay. It is everything the description says--nicely decorated, spacious, well maintained. We totally enjoyed the pool and the sunsets on the dock. Someone stopped by to welcome us and was available to answer any questions. It was the perfect size for us 6 adults. We weren't really looking for attractions, but there is a nice beach you can go to. I don't think there's too much in the immediate area but if relaxing is your focus, this is perfect.

Our family had a wonderful two week vacation at Mr. Mays' house in Gulf Harbor. The residence was immaculate upon our arrival, and was easy to maintain. We spent much of our time on the back deck, or at the pool and the beach. Most of our meals and social hours were spent outside by the "Tiki Bar". The community's private beach also added a relaxing opportunity for my elderly Mom to enjoy the scenery/water of the Florida Gulf. While we did rent a pontoon from WindSong Pontoon rentals, we did not have an opportunity to utilize the fishing poles that were left in the garage. The three bikes did get some use though! Two day-trips were made to Tarpon Springs and the Sponge Factory. It made for an interesting excusrion, with the shops, and the fresh fish markets. We enjoy breakfast out several times a week, and a variety of such restaurants were located nearby. Some other family members were able to join us periodically of the two weeks, and now the discussion centers around when we will rent it next year. SuperShuttle was an excellent means for their transportation to/from Tampa International Airport. Kudos to Jimmy and the work he has been doing on the house. The landscaping is fabulous!

Never have we felt as at home on vacation than in this house. Fully stocked with everything a family could need, this lovely waterfront house provided us with the chance to relax and make memories. The enclosed pool is a wonderful place to spend time, and the water views are spectacular. The neighborhood is very quiet, but its proximity to shopping, dining, and attractions makes it very convenient. We will definitely stay in this house again, as we have family nearby.

My family and I spent a lovely relaxing week in Port richey. The house was a home from home, Very clean, fantastic pool and wonderful views. We were able to enjoy a number of excursions from the house and spent a few enjoyable afternoons at the private beach. Would recommend this as a holiday home. Fantastic tiki bar with fairy lights a novel addition. Went down very well with the children! The owner was very flexible and allowed us to stay on in the property for a few hours as we were not flying til late in the afternoon. That was really appreciated.

My family and I have spent a week at this home the last 2 summers and will be returning again in 2009. It is a great place just to relax. We have 4 children and they all love the pool! Each room has a TV and DVD player which is also great with the kids. The house is just as pictured and in a nice quiet neighborhood. There are some great parks in the area and some more exciting venues within about an hour from this location. The grocery store and basic shopping needs are just 5 minutes away. We look forward to returning in the coming years.

This is a very nice home in a nice neighborhood. Shopping and grocery store within a 5 mile radius. I would highly recommend this area for anyone to stay and have a nice relaxing time. Owner is easy to get along with also. We stayed one week in April 2008 and will definitely do again next year.
