My family stayed at 201 Beach Club for four nights. We really enjoyed our stay in this very nice condominium. The condo was "as advertised" on the VRBO website--the place is clean, bright, well-maintained, and looks just like the pictures. The furniture was nice and comfortable and all of the appliances were in good condition. The master bedroom and bathroom were large and there was enough room in the second bedroom to set up a “pack and play” for our infant daughter without rearranging furniture. It's hard to beat the location: the community is on the beach, there's a pool, and it is a moderate walk to the village. The condo was also quiet--there were no disturbances for our daughter. The patio was a great place to relax and enjoy the breeze and beach air. We had one minor maintenance issue which we reported to the owner, who had somebody dispatched to the condo within thirty minutes of my call. It should be noted that the unit does not directly overlook the beach. However, the photo shown on the site is accurate--you can see the ocean at an angle from the patio. With the beach a three minute walk from the unit, the lack of a beach view wasn’t an issue. When it comes time to return to St. Simon's, we would definitely rent 201 Beach Club again!

Beach Club complex was in a great location for walking, biking, enjoying the beach and the pool and hot tubs. The grounds were very well maintained and the staff onsite were very friendly and helpful. The condo was very nice and as advertised. There is plenty to do and see on St. Simons Island and the island pace is very relaxing. I would definitely recommend this condo and complex and I would come back to St. Simons Island again.

We had a very nice time. This unit is very private - on the end. It was very clean when we arrived and the owner was very nice and welcoming. We did not have to contact her while we were there, because everything was working perfectly! Not much of an ocean view, but who spends much time on the deck when you can actually be on the beach! We spent our time fishing and biking - and we love the turtle hospital on Jeckyll Island!
Recommended for:Girls getaway, sightseeing.

This condo has been on the rental market managed by ourselves since 2008. Our guest book reflects over 50 positive guest comments and none that are negative. We hope that some of the comments we selected will help you make your vacation decision to come to beautiful St Simons Island and to stay with us at the Beach Club 201! We live on the island and one of us is usually "on island" during guest stays to assist should anything need our attention. We respond typically within minutes and never more than an hour or so for any and all maintenance issues. Our maintenance contractor is available on call when needed!!

My sife is a cancer nurse. She lovers her work but at times anyone needs a break to regroup and refresh. So we found this wondeful retreat, contacted the owners and knew right away that is was what we neeted. The home is just wonderful and the owners when above and beyond to help assure our stay would be perfect. It was! The beach was just beautiful and being only a very short walk made it very enjoyable. The home is very quite and the neighbors were very nice and helpful to us "out of towners". Loved it !!!

This is a very comfortable, roomy, quiet unit. The owners were very responsive to the few minor glitches and corrected them quickly. The main amenities such as beds, TV , heat, A/C, furniture, computer, phone, etc, were all tops. The only minor drawback was the lack of small cooking caseroles and serving tableware which would have been helpful for our 2 months stay., but was easy to work around. We have spent many a year on SSI, and this was by far the nicest accomodations. The building managers are a friendly lot and the social activities are weekly. The only reason we won't be back is due to the change in the pet-friendly policy by the Condo Association. Dogs are no longer welcome at Beach Club. There are a great many places to eat, shop and just kick back on the island. We rarely go off-island for our two month stays.
Owner response:Hey guys, Thanks for the nice comments and glad you enjoyed your stay. We are adding some additional "serving pieces" and a casserole dish just in case a long term guest needs those. Some of our things (like a complete set of knives, etc.) walk away on occasion but we do try to keep things stocked. Thanks for letting us know! Complex is nice, island is beautiful. This unit needs work!!@! Bathrooms should be gutted and updated. Floors are nasty, master shower horribly yuck!!! Carpet is just gross. Kitchen needs all new cookware, accesories, including dishes ( only 4 cereal bowls) and some decent silverware. Unit felt dirty. We were disappointed.

Our guest book contains almost 100 positive comments from very happy guests - with not a single negative comment in 4 years. We personally inspected the unit after seeing this comment and honestly didn't see what we could do to improve anything and we are very picky ourselves! Our online photos correctly reflect the unit which is updated and well furnished. We were stunned and shocked to not even get a phone call from this guest. The unit is very clean and smartly decorated for our own use and our guest book comments reflect that. Please give us and the Beach Club a try. Thanks!

Lovely condo! Much more spacious than I imagined. Great job decorating and tvs in every room really helped with varying tastes and ages in our family. Love the master bathroom :)

This is one of our favorite places on Earth. This is our 2nd vaca down here and I love it! Heaven on earth. Such a beautiful place, perfect for a family. Very safe feeling, delicious foods. I definitely would like to retire here!
