We chose this home because of its close proximity to my sister's house and it turned out to be the perfect home base for us for 10 days. We've used VRBO many times in the past and I was thrilled that this home was comfortably stocked with amenities that alleviated our need to run out to the store and purchase household items. We appreciated the shampoo, body soap, conditioner, q-tips and even makeup remover pads in the bathrooms! The house was very clean when we arrived and Linda provided very clear check-in and check-out directions. We will definitely book a stay here in the future, hopefully in the warm months, so that we can enjoy the beautifully landscaped backyard with plenty of seating, as well as the 3 season porch. The piano in the living room was a nice surprise too. Linda was so pleasant to work with- you can tell she loves her rental homes (she has 3) and she takes care to make sure her customers are taken care of. The neighborhood is cute- there is a coffee shop and a few restaurants within walking distance only 2 blocks away.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Being my first trip to Denver, this was a great place to stay. Totally stocked. All you had to do was go in and make yourself at home. It was a pleasure to meet Linda and know she was around to help you out if necessary. On future trips, we will definitely be staying in one of Linda's homes.

We were in Denver to attend a wedding and we were able to get to all the activities quite easily from our rental. The house worked well for our family. We enjoyed being able to walk to cafes and coffee places in the neighborhood. We were sorry that we weren't in Denver in summer. The back garden/patio would be very attractive then and a great place to hang out.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children.

Hello Linda, Just a note to let you know we received your message and the voided check. Thanks. We truly enjoyed our stay. We were close to all the "wedding events" and had access to the airport,etc. The house is wonderful. I would come again just to sit on the back porch and enjoy the garden. You left no stone unturned. Things I thought I would need to bring to a house were more that covered (body wash, shampoo, hairdryer, coffee), all very much appreciated. I tried to submit a review to the vrbo website, but it is not clear how one does this. I clicked all the various links and nothing pops up for a submission. I did submit a request on how to do this, so hopefully I can accomplish this shortly. Many thanks again, Barbara (Barbara's first contact with me was over the phone not through an email inquiry. Velma's Too was just perfect for a two-family meet-up in Denver - more than comfortable for 4 adults and 4 children (ages 2-8), great location (we walked to the zoo!) in a nice neighborhood; everything we could have needed in accommodations and very comfortable. The screened porch and patio'd yard were such a nice bonus for us. Linda is very thoughtful and wants her guests to enjoy their stay at her guest house and in her city. Loved it.

Our family stayed at this cute little house the week of Aug 1-10, 2009 for our son's wedding in Denver. There were 6 of us including our 2 young grandsons, 5 yrs and 5 months. Linda the owner couldn't have been more accommodating, from a pack & play, high chair, even special toys for the 5 yr old. We had everything we could possibly need. The house was so neat and clean, plenty of towels and linens. We enjoyed spending time in the back screened in porch and also the large front porch. The location was perfect for a family. Our other family members and friends also rented houses from Linda, which they also loved. We have rented many rentals by owners in NC where our chidren live, but none have been as accommodating. Linda was a great host, always making sure everything was fine. If our travels ever bring us back to Denver, we will defintely stay at one of her 3 houses. Thank you Linda for a great week we had in Denver. The Halpin Family.

Great location,comfortable for 9 of us, all the amenities we would need during our stay were provided, and a beautiful garden which one could view from the screened in porch. The owner was pleasant and easy to work with in arranging the stay. Very enjoyable.
