Located in the best and quietist location in Niguel Beach Terrace, this two bedroom, two full- bath ocean view condo is a one minute walk to the entry to Salt Creek (Dana) Strands Beach. The 'Lighthouse' has undergone complete renovation featuring maritime and nautical themes in soft colors of sand tones, blues and creams. All appliances, hardware, ceiling fans, baseboards, Zodiac stone countertops, kitchen cabinets, carpeting, and outside patio tile are new.

Enjoy the ocean view from the living room, guest bedroom, and one of the large patios. The living room features an electric fireplace, queen size sofa bed, and a 42" flat screen LCD HD TV as well as a library with books and games. Two large tiled private patios: one with an ocean view and the other with a picnic area and a George Foreman electric BBQ give the Lighthouse a distinctive open feel that is a bright and airy ground floor unit. Greenbelt areas are located next to both patios and the Lighthouse does not view the parking lot like many other units do.

The guest bedroom features extra long twin beds that can be converted into a king size bed with nightstands on both sides of the beds. A 37 inch LCD TV is located on top of a 6 -drawer chest of drawers in the closet to give maximum floor space to the room. An airbed can be added to comfortably sleep three people in the guest bedroom.

A combination of study and master suite is separated from the guest bedroom by both bathrooms. A king size sleigh bed is a dream to sleep on. A cherry wood desk, comfortable office chair, and computer with full high speed internet access is in the master suite. A 37 inch LCD is in the closet on top of a 6 -drawer chest of drawers.

The Lighthouse is fully stocked with soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and all other amenities to make your stay enjoyable. It is a "turn-key" operation and all you need are a few clothes for your holiday.

Location, location, location. The Lighthouse has the finest location in Niguel Beach Terrace, closest to the beach, away from the street, not located on the parking lot, and in a quiet area surrounded by greenbelts. The community pool and two spas are a two minute walk from the Lighthouse.

Niguel Beach Terrace at Strands Beach is located between Laguna Beach and Dana Point Harbor in the Monarch Beach area of the "California Riviera." It is on the ocean side of Pacific Coast Highway with a short walk to Starbucks, the Ritz Carlton, St. Regis Resort, the public library and a commercial center. Dana Point harbor and marina is nearby where the boat to Catalina Island is available.

There is no finer location in southern California to visit San Diego attractions, Hollywood, Disneyland and all other places of interest. A half of dozen golf courses are located nearby as well as many dining options. Two supermarkets are within one mile of the Lighthouse and any other store you might need is a short distance away.

    • Washer: Brand new Admiral machine that is large, efficient, and easy to operate.
    • Dryer: Brand new Admiral electric dryer that is large, efficient and easy to operate
    • Linens Provided: Plush towels and high quality linens of natural fibers. Choices of weights for the comforters and quilts depending on the season. A large selection
    • Covered Parking: Space #24 is reserved for the Lighthouse. There are also 9 guest parking spots available in the immediate area next to space #24.
    • Off Street Parking: Ample off-street parking is available along Selva Rd. close to the condo.
    • Gas Fireplace: A standup electric fireplace is in the living room. It is operated from the unit itself as well as a wall switch.
  • Beds
    • King Bed: The master suite features a king size bed. The extra long twin beds in the large guest bedroom can be easily converted into a king size bed.
    • Queen Bed: A sleeper sofa in the living room can be converted into a queen size bed.
    • Twin/Single Bed: The guest bedroom features extra long twin beds and twin night-stands that can be converted into a king size bed. The Lighthouse also has a high quality air bed that can be used in the guest bedroom for a three bed set-up to for three occupants (usually kids).
    • Convertible Bed: A Jennifer sofa in the living room converts to a queen size bed.
  • Entertainment
    • Cable/Satellite TV: All three flat screen LCD TV's are connected to extended cable which includes HBO, Starz, the upper channels, and over 40 music channels. The TV in the living has HD and DVD (Tivo) functions. The TV's in the two bedrooms are in the closet to allow for maximum space use in the room. The living room has a 42" flat screen LCD TV and the master suite and guest bedroom TV's are 37" flat screen LCD TV's. The TV's in both bedrooms are located in the closet to allow maximum use of the floor space in the bedrooms.

    • Video Library: The Lighthouse has a selection of both VCR and DVR recordings for both children and adults.

    • Shared Hot Tub: There are two hot tubs (spas or jacuzzis) at Niguel Beach Terrace with one located next to the swimming pool and the 2nd one at a separate location.
    • Shared Pool: A large pool with deck chairs and shaded area is available for your use and it is a quick two minute walk from the Lighthouse. We provide the pool key to enter this facility that includes a restroom, changing room, drinking fountain and shower.
  • Kitchen
    • Full Kitchen: All cabinets and drawers are new or refurbished in a birch finish and the new Zodiac countertops have backsplashes that extend to the cupboards. Modern recessed lighting has been installed all the appliances are new and extra quiet.
    • Cooking Utensils Provided: The LIghthouse has everything you could ask for to cook a holiday meal.
    • Refrigerator: The new 25 cubic foot Maytag features filtered water, an ice-maker and easy use of both from the outside of the regrigerator.
    • Dishwasher: A quiet new dishwasher is provided.
    • Microwave: New large Kenmore built in above the range.

    • Gas/Electric BBQ Grill: A new George Foreman electric BBQ grill is a handy and easy way to enjoy outside cooking on our large east patio with an outside picnic table and 4 chairs to enjoy al fresco dining.
    • Deck/Patio: Both patios and the front entry feature new porcelain tile. The east patio features the electric BBQ grill and a lollypop picnic table with 4 chairs. A comfortable lounge chair is also available for reading, sunning, and just relaxing. The west patio has a bistro table for enjoying the ocean view with your morning coffee or the evening sunset with your afternoon drink of choice as well as a comfortable lounge chair for reading, sunning, or relaxing.
    • Lanai: Our east patio is partially covered with an open area for grilling and sunning available. The west patio is completely covered but is open to the ocean breezes and the afternoon sun along with the ocean view of the evening sunsets.
  • View/Location
    • Ocean View: The ocean view can be enjoyed from the living room, guest bedroom, and especially the west patio. Catalina sunsets are frequently seen especially in the fall and winter months. The reflection from the ocean can be seen on the large mirror in the living room from inside of the condo.

    • Telephone: This is for local and 800 number calls only and is a walk around phone with an answer phone and speaker phone features along with an extension in the master bedroom.
    • Computer: A new computer (E-Machine) with a 19 inch screen monitor is located in the master bedroom on an antique cherry wood desk with a executive desk chair.
    • Broadband Internet: The Lighthouse is connected to broadband through Cox communications and has a fast connection.

    • No Pets Allowed: Not with the guests or with visitors to our guests. We maintain a hypoallergenic environment at the Lighthouse.
    • Kid Friendly: We have a crib and high chair available along with an air bed which is an ideal sleeping arrangement for young children. Our large patios make the Lighthouse an ideal getaway for people with children as lots of activities can take place outdoors on the patios.
    • Minimum Age Limit for Renters: 21
    • Smoking Not Allowed: If you must smoke we ask that you do it outside on the front steps to the condo or the west patio. Please avoid smoking on the east patio.

    • My sister-in-law and I spent a wonderful week at the Lighthouse in January 2008. Tom and Vonne had thought of everything to make our stay cofortable from the fully-stocked kitchen to the complementary bathroom soaps and shampoos. And these little touches were in addition to the beautiful flat-screened televisions and the warm down comforters. We felt pampered in every way. Best of all, the ocean was just down the hill from the condo and the view from the beach was magnificient. The Lighthouse is a perfect vacation home in a perfect location, and we can't wait to go back again. We can only give this property our most sincere and enthusuastic recommendation.

    • The condo was great for the two of us. It was very well equipped for all our needs. Parking was convenient, we enjoyed the view, loved walking on the beach, and we found driving to San Diego and many L.A. area places was easy. Computer use was a very nice bonus.....and the flat screen tv's were super. Not one complaint!

    • We had a wonderful time while staying at the Lighthouse. The place was beautiful and very well equipped. Vonne and Tom thought of absolutely everything. Dana Point was a wonderful location to stay. I would recommend renting the Lighthouse to everyone!!

    • I rented the Lighthouse for 1 week for my in-laws who live nearby and were transitioning to their new home. They wanted to stay close by and I was delighted to find this condo for them. Tom & Vonne are splendid hosts. They checked in on them periodically and took great care to make sure my in-laws were well taken care of. Although I did not see the condo personally, I know my in-laws enjoyed the place which seemed quite luxurious with 3 TVs and 2 balaconies, one overlooking the ocean. They needed this little mini vacation to regenerate and Tom & Vonne were the perfect hosts to make this happen. They are great communicators, respond quickly and go the extra mile for their guests. Would highly recommend their place to anyone.

The Lighthouse is so perfectly appointed it is hard to imagine a reason to stay anywhere else when at the beach, especially with kids. The beautiful beach is quintessentially southern California at its best!! We can't wait till next summer!!!!

    • We had a wonderful week at the lighthouse,it is very comfortable and clean, the owners Tom and Vonne have taken great care in providing all you need for a great holiday-its close to the beach which our boys loved plus we used the community pool a few times and had it all to ourselves-very nice.We highly recommend the lighthouse
