My family stayed recently at the house and had a great time. The backyard and the fire pit were huge hits for my two kids (under age 5), along with the deer that visited in the mornings during breakfast time. The area is very quiet and property provides privacy. We found the owners very responsive and interested in making sure we had everything we needed.

We just returned from a wonderful 4 days in this house. Everything was as it was described and the layout was just perfect for a family. We had 2 couples and 2 kids (age 4 & 5) and there was plenty of room for all of us. The open kitchen/dining/living area was a great place for everyone to hang out. The weather was perfect fall weather and the kids played in the huge yard and on the play set. The adults were fighting over time in the hammock and everyone enjoyed walking in the woods and down to the stream. We cooked a lot and the kitchen was well-stocked, which made it easy. Donna, the owner, was super-responsive and had great ideas and suggestions for us. Very close to New Paltz and conveniences, but felt very quiet and like a real escape!! Highly recommend this wonderful home! We will be back for sure.

Rented the property for a relaxing weekend getaway with a group of friends. The house was spacious, funky, clean and met our needs well. Most of our days were spent exploring the surrounding area (rail trails by New Paltz, hiking at Minnewaska State Park) but enjoyed a leisurely start to the day over breakfast in the huge kitchen and dining area, looking out on to the deck and back yard (perfect for families with kids). Enjoyed dinner at the Red Brick Tavern in Rosendale and the Gilded Otter in New Paltz, both just a 10 minute drive from the house. Got a little lost the first night - try to arrive during daylight to get your bearings. GPS is not necessarily helpful. Owner Donna was helpful and responsive to all questions prior to our stay.

We have visited this home two times and both times enjoyed it immensely. Pre and post renovation, this was a super family friendly space, providing lots of indoor and outdoor areas for fun. Our recent trip in September was a blast. The new renovations are amazing, with a HUGE master bedroom with amazing views of the property. The open kitchen was great for entertaining and we had many delicious meals here. Although there is a table to eat at, we had all our meals around the the new island. We are hoping to be back in April. Donna was very flexible and answered emails right away.

Our family had a wonderful time staying at the house. The home is very cozy, welcoming, and full of children's spirit. There is everything you might need in the kitchen to make a nice meal. And the sauna is a great bonus for a winter day! The owner was very nice and propmt in communication which also made us feel welcomed.

This house was spacious, clean, well-appointed, and perfect for our gathering of friends. I would definitely stay here again any time we're planning to be in the area. The owner was accommodating and responsive, and the price was very reasonable. In all, I was very satisfied with this rental.

We loved this house. The property is amazing. We walked and walked through the snow and felt like we were in the forest of the fairy tales. And we made amazing meals. The six children with us loved the playroom and the grown ups made some amazing meals and sat around feeling altogether dreamy. Donna anticipated our every need and even though she was miles away we felt her hand in getting us there and all settled in.

Dear Donna & Michael It has been a week since we left your upstate get- a-way, and I am still riding on the sweet remnants of our time spent up there. I can't say what parts of your house were my favorite because there were too many to name, but in the running was; sleeping to fresh cool air with an open window at my head, eating breakfast on the sunshine drenched deck & feasting to bbq'd everything under the umbrella in a torrential thunder & lightening storm, waking up to the kids already dressed and digging, swinging & running around outside, and having daily swims in the river. The Creek down the hill was so magical, that nothing is really comparing. Needless to say, we had a wonderful & rejuvenating time. Thank you for making it such a wonderful home. If there are any weeks during the year, especially in the fall months coming up. We would love to spend some time there in the various seasons love, Suzanne & the boys

This house was the perfect summer getaway for us. The back yard is surrounded by woods to create complete privacy. At the same time, there's a huge, beautiful lawn, artistic plantings, a fire pit for nighttime campfires, an expansive deck with two grill, an eating area, a hammock and great open space where we all lay on the wood to stargaze at night. Inside we loved that everything was comfortable and well-equipped, with lots of privacy for guests, work spaces, wifi, cable TV...windows onto greenery in every room. Donna and Michael took great care of us. We highly recommend this place and hope to rent it again ourselves.

We had a great time here - the house is surrounded by trees and very quiet. The back yard and patio is huge. The house is tastefully decorated and clean and has everything you'll ever need. Our kids had so much fun playing on the slide and with the toys and books. The sauna was great during these chilly March days, even though the fire stove kept the place cozy and warm during our entire stay. And with the proximity to New York City it was a perfect get-away for all of us. We can't wait to again.

This house was just what we had hoped for. A peaceful open space to be connected with nature. Whether it was the family of beautiful hawks, the fawn that visited us, or simply the wide open space and sky. Our 2 year old and four year old did not have a complaint all week and we did not have to leave the house.

my girlfriend and i had a great time in this rustic house with stylish modern furniture. the grounds are gorgeous, the deck expansive, and the wood fire sauna was perfect after a day out in the mountains. plus, it was easy to find and close to new paltz - a very cute town.
