This cozy cottage has a rustic charming feel which makes you feel at peace. Nature surrounds you with Acadia National Park only a short walk away from the property.
The cottage is a one bedroom/one bath with wooded views. The bathroom provides a large clawfoot tub with a separate shower. It has a small, but manageable, kitchen with everything you may need to make a romantic meal. A porch that runs the length of the cottage which places you in the outdoors. The sunlight streams through tall spruce bows from high overhead, caressing your soul with a wave of warmth. With the ocean only a short distance away, you can hear the sounds of osprey and seagulls echo through the stillness. If you are looking for a getaway that provides close access to all the great possibilities of Acadia National Park, or just a romantic getaway, this cozy cottage will fulfill all of your wishes.
With the western side of Acadia National Park at your back door you will find the side of Mount Desert Island that is a little less discovered. Southwest Harbor provides a working fishing village with fresh lobster just pulled from the sea, which provides for an excellent dinner. There are sailing tours, kayak rentals, seal and whale watching trips, miles of hiking and biking, lakes for swimming. In the town of Southwest Harbor you can find a trip to off-shore islands like Great or Little Cranberry Island where you can wonder the beaches and town roads experiencing the feeling of 'life on an island.' With Bar Harbor only 15 minutes away you have the options of shopping and browsing all the stores that revolve around the summer guests. From Bar Harbor you can drive up to Cadillac Mountain which is where America starts its day. Cadillac Mountain is the tallest mountain in Acadia National Park and has been proven that it is the first place to see the sunrise in America.
