Why the Owner Chose HanaleiHaving camped and stayed all over the island for many years, I came to love Hanalei most of all. With its miles of white sand beaches and ever-changing seas and skies, it captured my heart like no place else. When this property became available, I knew it was the perfect combination of peace and space yet only a short bike ride from the amenities of Hanalei.
The Unique Benefits at this HouseWhen you want to be "away from it all" yet have the conveniences of town just a short few blocks down the road, Wai'oli Beach Estate is the spot. The house is right on Hanalei Bay, but located down a private drive off the main road, which means there is no traffic passing the house. Its location at the less-frequented end of the beach, near Wai'oli Stream, means there are very few people on the beach outside the house. Hundreds of feet of oceanfront and riverfront offer views to water, mountain, waterfalls and, of course, the garden.
This property was my home for years, so it is set up to a higher standard than most vacation rentals - the furnishings, appliances and cookware are better quality than most.

I visited Kauai for 12 years before buying this home, and I feel lucky to be able to care for this special, uniquely private spot. For the last 11 years, the gardens have been my project, and the 3 acres have been intensively landscaped with rare Hawaiian native plants. The house has been a vacation rental for just over two years, and many of the visitors have returned for second and third visits.
