Nestled between Hanalei Bay and Wai'oli ("Singing Waters") River, the property has hundreds of feet of private paths through the garden along the beach and river. A privacy hedge is all that separates you from Hanalei Bay. Sitting on the private beach-viewing platform, you can watch tropical sunsets, the gentle waves of summer or the large breakers and world-class surfing of winter. Step through the gate, and your feet sink into the sands of Hanalei Bay. Situated at the end of a private road, which means no traffic passes by the house, you will be in a quiet paradise, yet all the amenities of Hanalei Town lie just blocks away. Generous screened lanais beckon you to relax and dine in Kauai's gentle breezes as you listen to the ocean at your doorstep. Surf fans: Wai'oli Beach Estate is steps away from the famous 'Pinetrees' area of the beach. For those with musical inclinations, there is a well-maintained, recently-restored 1964 Steinway upright piano in the house, available for your use by arrangement. This is a place for relaxation and rejuvenation. Built by a sea captain in 1966, the simple, unpretentious house has been carefully updated to preserve the feel of simpler times. Unique furnishings, high-quality bedding and loads of extra personal touches add a sense of comfort and quiet luxury. IF YOU HAVE A LARGE GROUP TO HOUSE, we have an adjacent rental house that sleeps 1-10 people, and we can help connect you to other rentals in the neighborhood - contact us for details. PLEASE NOTE: Our on-site yet hidden-away caretaker can help arrange any extra services you desire - massage, meal preparation, yoga, pilates, surfing, fishing... tell us your desires. A private ceramics studio nearby is available to guests for a small donation. The very discrete gardening staff will be working on the premises for approximately 5 hours every Tuesday and parts of other days as needed.
