Ocean Front Cottage - Daufuskie Island Cottage Rental in Hilton Head Island Why stay on Hilton Head or Savannah, when you can stay on beautiful Daufuskie Island, right on the beach. The cottage is true oceanfront with no other home between you and the ocean. The view is awesome. The cottage has 2 full kitchens, 4 bedrooms and 4 baths. You can configure it to your group and rent 1,2,3 or 4 bedrooms. Even if you just rent one bedroom you have a full bathroom, kitchen and living room and porch to yourself or you can rent the entire cottage with 2 kitchens on each side! This oceanfront cottage has 2 great porches that offer fantastic views of the Atlantic Ocean. The cottage is located within Melose Plantation, you cannot drive to Daufuskie Island. Unwind on the 40 minute ferry ride to a place and a pace you will truly love. It is a true island and you must take the ferry from Hilton Head or Savannah. Ferry transportation is included in the stay. Ferry transport is available, if you want to go to Hilton Head or Savannah for shopping or whatever. There is no traffic since there are very few cars on the island, mostly golf carts and horses. The resort has 2 beautiful, 18 hole golf courses. Eight guests can play for just the Greens Fee of $20 each person. Four guests can play twice a day, once on each course! You will be able to fish in the ocean, right outside your cottage. The equestrian center will take you horseback riding through the woods and on the beach. The beach is 5 miles long and you and your group or family will more than likely be the only ones on the beach. Collect sand dollars and starfish. Eagles soar and deer live on the island. There is one main paved road and the other roads are sand that lead through majestic oaks and past historic cottages. There is a general store in the resort. You can bring your food items or have the concierge stock your cottage with whatever you desire. There are 3 restaurants on the resort and a couple in the historic district. When you pull your car up to the ferry in Hilton Head or Savannah, your belongings will be taken by the staff to the ferry and delivered to the cottage. Golf carts are included for your transportation on island. Bicycles are available to rent at the resort, to ride on the beach or explore the island. There is no place like Daufuskie Island. It is quiet, slow and absolutely unique. You cannot drive to it and you will be happy to see what a difference that makes. You will love it. You will love Daufuskie!
