Sea Gem is a unique beach home with incredible sandy beaches and ever-changing natural sand dunes, where dolphins and other sea life can be seen close to shore almost daily. Sea Gem is located in the private gated community, The Plantation, on beautiful St. George Island.
A great deal of love and attention to detail has gone into making this your perfect home away from home. The house is furnished to reflect an informal relaxed atmosphere with comfortable overstuffed furniture. The beach paintings, plantation shutters and décor compliment the seaside views.
The beach side of Sea Gem features an upper covered porch with white rocking chairs where you can relax in the shade with a book, enjoy ocean views and beautiful St. George sunsets. The lower deck is ideally suited for sunning and has an outside eating area which overlooks your own private swimming pool, (heated for a fee.)
The kitchen is full size, light and airy and with a seating area. It is fully equipped and features a complete selection of appliances, pots and pans, cooking and baking utensils, blender, mixer, glassware (for indoor and outside pool area), flatware and English Johnson Brothers chinaware.
The Great Room opens to the covered porch and features cathedral ceilings, fans, hardwood floors, a Flat Screen Television, DVD/VCR and Stereo, a separate work station with no charge DSL hookup and comfortable seating. The dining room area in the Great Room provides seating for 8 to 10 persons.
The Master Bedroom on the first floor opens to the covered porch and features an ocean view, a high ceiling, an oversize queen size bed with steps, a master bath with his and her vanities and a large tub and shower. A second Master Bedroom on the upper level features an ocean view, a cathedral ceiling, an oversize queen size bed with steps, a master bath with his and her vanities, and a large tiled open shower with dual shower heads . The additional two bedrooms are located on the first floor and include a Double bedded room and a Twin bedded room facing the Bay Side of the Island. A full size bath is shared. All bedrooms have Televisions and DVD/VCR units. A sofa/convertible bed is located on the Balcony area. In addition to the beautiful sandy beach, Sea Gem offers a family a comfortable house with many areas to get away to play games, read a book, watch a movie, or to just relax!
On the ground level there is an enclosed outside shower with hot water, an open shower near the pool, a fish cleaning station, charcoal grill and ample parking space. The grounds are neatly landscaped in keeping with the native plants.
