We arrived on Wednesday and had no problem gaining access since there is a convienient lockbox method by the owners. We weren't at the apartment much since we had so much to do, but it was so nice to come back at the end of the night and have a quiet comfortable home for the four of us. The only thing I wish we had were mirrors in the bedrooms (girls getting ready at the same time). Also the air conditioner wasn't working and the jets in the tub weren't either (although these were bonuses in my mind anyways!). Overall our stay was nice, the apartment is clean and well maintained.

Staying at this apartment allows you to experience the local offerings of the Plateau and is so easy to get to downtown/Old Montreal. There are many shops and restaurants within walking distance. A real community spirit. The apartment itself is clean and well maintained. Would recommend.

Owner response: Thank you for the wonderful review. We like to keep the apartment clean and well maintained for our guests; to keep it to a standard that we would enjoy while traveling. We want our guests to feel at home while adventuring through Montreal.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this apartment. It was steps from just about everything we wanted to do in the Plateau. The apartment was clean and comfortable (and warm). Elias and Abe were prompt in answering questions and had helpful tips for the area. Because of the great location, we discovered additional restaurants and points of interest that we might have otherwise missed or overlooked. We walked everywhere and occasionally used the Metro to get to farther away placess like the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts (unexpected and interesting Napoleon exhibit, BTW). A few practical comments - things of note: - Try to find the local newspaper ("The Plateau"). There are usually free copies in many of the shops. You can find articles and ads of interest on the neighborhood. This is how we discovered the concerts given by the Conservatory of Music and Drama of Quebec. They are fun and inexpensive. - Although there is street parking, you must be very observant of the street signs to make sure you are not parking in a resident-only section. There isn't that much non-resident parking available, and there are specific days/times for street cleaning so you can't leave your car unattended for more than a few days at a time. We had to move our car a couple of times and had to circle a bit before we ended up finding a valid spot a few blocks away on the other side of St-Denis. We didn't drive otherwise. - The jacuzzi wasn't operational. It wasn't a big deal for us so we didn't pursue the question. Since the building is old, we speculate it may have been removed out of noise consideration for the neighbors. We really look forward to staying here during a future visit to Montreal.

We have just returned to Chicago after a wonderful and unforgettable visit to Montreal. This apartment was the perfect place for us. Perfectly located for our needs. Check in and check out was a breeze. Communication with the owners was excellent. The apartment itself was wonderful. Better than the description and photos show. Super comfy beds. Large kitchen and dining room ideal for cooking and eating when we were tired from exploring the city. Very convenient to transportation. Sherbrooke Metro just a few blocks away. 144 and 360 bus stops right at the corner. The women enjoyed browsing the boutiques on St. Denis and St. Laurent. We found the local bistros and restaurants near the apartment to be excellent (and later found out that they are among the highest rated in the city). We “discovered” several of them by accident while wandering around the neighborhood and had many excellent meals. By the time Saturday evening came around we were tired from all our exploring and decided to try the little place across Des Pins. Little did we know that it had such a long standing reputation and long history as being one of the finest bistros in the city. There’s really no need to leave this wonderful neighborhood, but if you want to transportation is easy. We highly recommend this apartment and will stay here when we return to Montreal.

This apt exceeded our expectations. We have used VRBO several times and this was the nicest place we have stayed. The others were good but this was so comfortable we brought dinner in several nights. - Not only isthe apt large and comfortable, but it is very reasonable. And the location could not be better. This was our second time staying on the Plateau in Montreal and we will certainly stay again. The owners were wonderful- including not getting upset that I broke the key locking the door as we were leaving for the airport. They were amazingly gracious. I always wonder about these recommendations- but this is truly a fabulous place. The only drawback is the typical Montreal steep stairs into the apt. Only thing they could add would be a book for comments on restaurants, etc. Thanks for the wonderful visit!

So great! It's the perfect location and is so much bigger than it seems in the pictures. The place is spotless and had everything you could need. Hopefully next time we are there we can take advantage of the jacuzzi tub! I am afraid to give such a good review because it is such a gem I don't want to have it always booked. I will not even bother to look for other places to stay, we will just book this place again. Thank you!

My husband and I and our two small children stayed in this great place for 4 nights. It was the perfect home base- spacious, modern, charming, clean, and much much more than the photos show. We cooked every night. The owner was responsive and helpful, the neighborhood and street were absolutely perfect, and we are recommending this place to our picky travelling friends. Thanks so much for offering this place to guests! One tip on parking- it's mostly resident or metered, but there are several inexpensive lots nearby- we used one nearby on St. Laurent.

This apartment is in a fabulous location for exploring everything Montreal has to offer. It was perfect for our family of 4. It is clean, comfortable, and has lots of room to spread out. It is a great place to come back to after walking around Montreal all day. Excellent restaurants and bakeries in the neighborhood. The owners are wonderful to work with---excellent communication and very helpful. We would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

I visited this house while some friends were visiting Montreal from out of town and was impressed in many ways. It was very spacious, clean and well decorated. All you need for comfortably entertaining and accommodating friends and family before and after exploring Montreal's attractions are right at hand and in excellent quality. This house is in a prime location, steps to bistros (too numerous to list), bars, restaurants (many on Prince Arthur street, on Saint-Denis street and Saint-Laurent street), parks (Place St. Louis, Parc Mont-Royal), night clubs (Saint Laurent has plenty), the Sherbrooke metro station, and the best tourist attractions. There's much to say about staying at this house, it was a great experience and I highly recommend it to anyone.

I'm not the type of person that goes by reviews alone because I like to pass judgement on my own. Well after staying in this place my family and I were extremely impressed by the size of the apartment. The pictures do not begin to convey the amount of space in the apartment. The apartment is beautiful and located perfectly within walking distance of many restaurants and shopping. The old part of Montreal is a mere 20-25 minute walk. We drove into Montreal and never had an issue with finding parking (just make sure to read the signs!) As someone who travels with family and young children often, I found the neighborhood to be inviting and very safe. I would highly recommend this place! The owner was accomodating, informative, and has done a phenomenal job with this place. Whenever my family and I visit Montreal...this is where we will stay.

Check in/out super easy. Great beds. Super close to Saint-Laurent and Saint-Denis (lots of bars, clubs, restaurants, etc.). Was so much nicer/cheaper/more convenient than staying at a hotel. Everything about this place makes you feel like you temporarily moved your apartment to Montreal.

I use to live in Montréal and I usually live with my brother when I visit from South America. This time, my fiance and his family were coming and I wanted to be comfortable so we rented an apartment! We were more than satisfied and we had a great time. I have lived in Montréal many years and I can assure all of you that the location cannot be more perfect. The photos also reflect very well the beauty of the place and the place is even bigger than it looks on the photos. The instructions were perfect and we had no problems getting the key. I highly recommend the place and will rent it again if I need to! Thank you

This location was wonderful. The apartment itself is great. We were here when it was 88 degrees. No air conditioning, but plenty of fans. Up and coming neighborhood=young families and singles. Close to restaurants, a great corner grocery 10 yards away, a whole street of cafes, shops and restaurants 3 blocks away. Sherbrooke Station is 4-5 blocks away and it will get you to where-ever you want to be. Can't say enough. On street parking is a little tricky but ask the guy in the grocery store. You don't even need a car.

My husband and I stayed at the apartment during our recent vacation to Montreal. We went for the Montreal Jazz Festival and the apartment was just right for our week. We moved right in and felt at home right away. The furniture (sofas, chairs, beds) are new and very comfy, the kitchen has everything you need, we even used the washer and dryer. It was great to come back to the apartment each night after the festival and unwind. The neighborhood is great. A few blocks walk gets you to: more restaurants then you could possibly want (we tried several of them and all were superb), the famous Schwartz Deli and Old Europe Market (written up in the travel books), wonderful little bakeries (my favorite was the Portuguese bakery just 2 blocks away) and on and on. The metro stop was a quick walk away, which was great for us. We didn't have a car, but we didn't need one at all. We could walk to get food and groceries (regular and gourmet). And for our "touring" or the jazz festival we just got on the metro and within a few minutes we could reach all our destinations easily. The neighborhood is so pretty, with beautiful old buildings and lovely little gardens and parks. We were sad to leave! The owner was great to work with, answered all of our questions beforehand, and even gave us some restaurant suggestions. We will definitely come back to Montreal and rent this apartment again.

Their home in the plateau was a wonderful place to spend a weekend in Montreal. It's in a great central location, perfect for any visitor to Montreal that knows a little about the city. It sleeps 6 comfortably (great beds, by the way!) and had all of the amenities that were advertised in the listing. The best part was how easy he made it to come and go from the place, especially for checking in and out. Our group arrived pretty late at night and it didn't turn out to be a problem at all. I definitely plan to stay here again when I return to Montreal.

This apartment is simple and beautiful and has everything you need for a lovely stay in Montreal, including things like a coffee pot, a hairdryer, and mustard in the fridge! The neighborhood is charming and close to so many great food spots, as well as parks and the metro. The communication and assistance of the owner made our stay so easy and affordable. I would definitely recommend staying here if you have 2-6 people (2 separate bedrooms, each with a double bed, and a pull out double sized couch).

My wife and I have stayed at several apartments during our travels over the past few years. This place is definitely on our top 3 list of places to stay. The apartment was beautiful, comfortable, and within walking distance of most of the things we wanted to see in Montreal. There were two parks in the area and bike paths that were close. We really enjoyed Duluth Street since it had an abundance of good restaurants where you could bring your own wine or champagne. Yes we celebrated a little. Truth be told, we would strongly recommend this apartment. It just felt right.

Great apartment! I rented the place for family members visiting Montreal. It is centrally located -- walking distance from most tourist destinations (St. Laurent, St. Denis, Prince Arthur, downtown and Old Montreal) and right beside the Sherbrooke Metro station. Perfect for those without a car (but we always found parking on the street). The apartment itself is spacious, clean and well-maintained, and most importantly, felt like a home. The owner/manager was trustworthy and a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend it and I'm sure I'll be renting it again for future visits.

I absolutely adored this place. It was very comfortable, clean, and close to beautiful parks. They had a lot of movies being made in the area, especially in St. Louis Square. St. Louis Square is pretty incredible, I could grab my breakfast or lunch at a nearby bakery then sit in the park around the fountain and enjoy as the people walked about. I felt so close to everything and could access the metro within minutes. I definitely didn’t go hungry since there were so many restaurants to choose from. It was also nice that my husband and I could make a nice dinner and then relax in the living room afterwards. This is the perfect apartment in the perfect city.
