Our Stay in Las Palmas
Our Stay in Las Palmas
This was a great place to stay! The home is perfect for a long weekend or a month. Besides having a great location on the golf course it is off the main street so it is very quiet and it is away from the golf cart path so that adds to the serenity. The home is well appointed, up to date, with all the amenities anyone would need. Right across the street from the entrance is The River a shopping area comprised mostly of places to eat. Great variety and really good food. Starbuck's opens early there as well. We enjoyed our stay and plan to return to this great rental.

Owner response: Thanks for sending me that great picture you took from our patio looking at the early morning sun against the condos across the golf course the mountains in the background. We never get up early enough to see that. Cool!
The listing description was very accurate and the photos of the condo where perfect. The condo was very clean and maintained and the owner was always within cell-phone call should we have questions. We would recommend this property to any of our friends or relatives. There are restaurants, golf courses and shopping within a short distance from this location. It is very centerly located and very convenvient.

This is a beautiful home with attractive updates. It made for a very enjoyable vacation for our family consisting of 2 seniors, 2 adults and a 2 yr. old. We very much appreciated all the condiments in the frig, spices and even some groceries in the cupboard, books to read and CDs for music. Free WiFi, a computer and a printer came in very handy and the pool across the street was just right as we didn't have to worry that our toddler was too close to the pool. The central location made it handy to access any area.

We have stayed at this property several years. Everything listed on the VBRO website is accurate. This is truly a “home away from home”. Upon all arrivals, the residence has been immaculate. This year, we were greeted with a new shower in the master bath (gorgeous and functional) as well as subtle enhancements…art work, end table, placemats, etc. We choose to cook often in the beautiful kitchen, and it is wonderful having a spice closet. This eliminates purchasing “a little of this and a little of that” to complete a recipe. And, how relaxing it is to enjoy our dinner on the patio overlooking the golf course and the mountains! The golf in the area is unbelievable with many beautiful and challenging courses. We are bridge players, and there are many local sites (Woody’s Bridge Club) with friendly players. One of our most memorable experiences was enjoying a hot air balloon ride. We booked Fantasy Balloon Flights and flew over the area. Our landing was in the desert with a champagne reception. Awesome! The area is a shoppers’ haven, from Desert Hills / Cabazon Outlets to El Paseo Drive. Pete Carlson’s store is a must for any golfer or tennis player! There are so many wonderful restaurants within an easy drive of the property. Our favorites are: Aqua Pazza and Babes, located in The River shopping Center…Tommy Bahama’s and Daily Grill, located on El Paseo Drive, and Kaiser Grill, located in Palm Springs. The few times we have had questions or concerns, the owners have been readily accessible, returning our phone calls in a timely manner. We have entertained our family (arriving from Indiana and Illinois) for the past two years. They have thoroughly enjoyed the home and look forward to returning.

Beautiful unit, immaculate. We had a wonderful time with our family. I have known the complex for over 20 years and this is one of the nicest units I've seen. Golf was great. Owners very easy to work with and contact. We look forward to our next visit to Rancho Las Palmas and will most certainly be staying here. Thanks for a wonderful time!

Great Vacation Home
Great Vacation Home
We arranged this rental on short notice (2 days) and the owner couldn't have been more helpful getting us settled. The pictures accurately reflect the home and we found the accommodation very comfortable and well located. This property is close to the Monterey gate so if you like bargain shopping on the weekends at the College of The Desert, you can easily walk. "The River" shopping and dining center is a longer walk (we drove with our child) and a short drive down Monterey gets you to El Paseo Drive (exclusive shops and restaurants). The Westfield Mall is close by as well. The property could have been a bit cleaner, but we can't fault the owner as there was no time to give it a final spruce up before our arrival due to the short notice. The owner explained this prior to our arrival so we had no surprises. The furniture was comfortable and well arranged. The beds were very comfortable with nice linen. The kitchen was functional with new appliances and a kitchen bar (we ate at the dining room table with or 3 year old). We had a few questions and the owner was available and very helpful. The video system worked well (60" Plasma TV in the Living room) with very comfortable lounging chairs. High speed internet worked. there is a computer in the office area, but as I brought my own, I didn't need to use it. We will definitely stay at this property again. With a young family, I'm not sure why anyone would choose a hotel room, even for a short stay of one week. :)

Why the Owner Chose Rancho Las Palmas:
We purchased the property as a vacation home for our family. We use it for family gatherings a couple of times a year. We enjoy the pool, shopping at El Paseo, walking to 'The River' for coffee in the AM, McClellan Theater, the Sunday Market at the College of the Desert across the street, I could go on and on. WE LOVE IT!!
